  1. Put this one in the could have been worse category. Recovered well after giving them a goal of a start and there was plenty of effort but without much quality. Was hoping we would have caused them more problems in the second half but hardly troubled them.
  2. No I was more meaning specifically with fans that had already turned. Personally I would have preferred he carried on until the summer and then reviewed wherever that took us. Not much the window left, signings already made and probably 9 points or so from safety. You are right though. Tommy McLean, the only manager I have seen us win anything with, had people that just never took to him.
  3. No bother. Yes, those remarks were never going to help unless he was 100% sure we were going wipe floor with St. Johnstone, which he surely couldn't have been.
  4. Lost me with this, you confusing me with someone else? Don't think it tarnishes the whole club, don't know how much input SK would actually have had with the wording but seems clear he has given it, "personal abuse", as a reason. I'm giving my opinion on how he has appeared to be to me, as I said not actually knowing the guy. Other people may have a different opinion and that's fine. If it turns out he was thinking of his next interview and thought I can't say I left my last job because I had ran out of ideas I better give a different reason then I might change my opinion but I will take him at face value for now.
  5. My seat is in the Cooper and I have not witnessed any personal abuse towards Stuart Kettlewell. I very rarely go to away games though and wasn't at either Perth game so can't comment on them. Frustration at results, performances and the quality on the park is understandable but there are limits. I don't know exactly the type of thing SK is talking about but he has felt it was a factor so I will take that at face value, not knowing the guy any more than most. Just going on TV, radio and club media. He did appear to me to be someone who had a genuine feeling for the club, worked extremely hard and did his best. I thought he would have deserved the chance to turn things round again. Having said that, sometimes though, it just stops working like Robinson and McCall before him. Academic now decision made himself. Some things have conspired against us like horrendous luck or whatever with injuries and a few decisions. Fans of other clubs would probably have the exact same gripes. Just hope we can stabilise until the summer and look at things then.
  6. Went for Maswanhise. Great touch for his goal and put himself about, even though there isn't much of him. A solid game from Halliday as well.
  7. Great 3 points. Probably made hard work of it in the second half but nice to get the clean sheet in the end. Good to see the guys coming back from injury as well.
  8. Went for Maswanhise. Took his goal brilliantly, all round shift and filling in when Kaleta had to go off. Reckon the original intention would have been for Moses to replace Maswanhise to freshen things. Others worth a mention were Ap Stam, Watt, Paton and Gordon. Also thought Halliday done well and lasted more minutes than he has been recently.
  9. Seen it back now. You're right Richie, uses his arm for leverage but I think we are a bit unlucky with that one. Other than the arm up, Watt is standing his ground and challenging rather than jumping in to Butland.
  10. Suppose a point is fair enough. We were better in the first half and they had the better of the second. Was surprised Cerny and Igamane didn't start and expected them to come on in the second half but as others have said that is what they can afford to do. Great we came away with something because, after losing a goal within the first 5 of the second half, I'm sure I wouldn't have been the only one thinking we could end up with nothing to show for a good first half. Haven't seen it back but from the Cooper it looked like Butland made an arse of trying to knock the ball over the bar although seen someone mention there was a push.
  11. Gordon for me. Besides the goal thought he defended well under a fair amount pressure, especially in the second half. Watt and Ap Stam put in good shifts and Maswanhise looked threat when he came on. The two cynical Kilmarnock sacks of shit that got booked for wiping him out thought so as well.
  12. Wasn't the best from us tonight and can't really complain with a point given how the game went. From the Cooper it looked like Casey just shoved Armstrong, not happy with the tackle. At first I thought the referee had flashed the red at Armstrong. For him to stick with it when VAR had highlighted he had made a Bertie Blunt of it was mental.
  13. Has to be Ap Stam. 2 goals, an assist and could have had a hat-trick. Good movement and thought he was clever against their defenders despite them having physical advantage. Thought Miller had a mostly solid game and Sparrow always seems to make some kind of impact, great finish from him.
  14. Great 3 points and a swapping places with Utd was nice. A win on Friday before back to back games against the Old Squirm would be tremendous. Scored some good goals and being clinical in converting chances probably won us the game along with some good/great saves xnc a wee bit of luck. Only negatives were losing a couple of cheap goals and my Donner Pie was a bit overdone. Some good performances and I think the substitutions were made at the right time. Particularly Paton and Halliday, who I thought both done well but were probably tiring.
  15. 🤣Oofft! Better watch what I 'm doing then on the next one. That would be a disaster.
  16. Went for Watt but close to a no vote for me.
  17. Just trying to find some positives on a day it was difficult to spot any. You don't think they made us slightly better?
  18. Must be the worst most people would have seen this season with just about everything that makes a poor performance. Bad goalkeeping error, poor defending, horrendous distribution, no movement or creativity. Only positives were thought Watt and Paton made us slightly better, nobody sent off and didn't appear to pick up any injuries.
  19. I suppose he did a bit and he is just back from a spell injured so hopefully another option in midfield going forward.
  20. Went for Kaleta. Looks to be getting much stronger with games. Did great for his assist, always an option going forward and defended well. Seddon and Casey also done well at the back while Maswanhise and Sparrow impressed before tiring.
  21. Great to get a win before the international break. Good first half after a slow start and a couple of well worked and well taken goals. Flat second half and again subs didn't make much of an impact. Have to hope we can make changes that make a difference when the injury situation improves. Thought we defended pretty well for the majority of the game.
  22. Ox for me. Kaleta also impressed.
  23. Didn't offer much going forward at all although the first half was slightly better. Can't fault Ap Stam and Maswanhise for work rate though. Thought we were too cautious throughout. Miller didn't have the impact we hoped and Balmer made some crazy decisions with his distribution. Subs had very little impact. Feel as if we have the weakest midfield in almost every game we play and that includes the games we have won. Have to hope we somehow find the right combination. On the positive side thought Ox had a good game and Kaleta done well before he had t go off.
  24. Ap Stam for just pure effort with no reward. Miller and Kaleta were the pick of the rest for me.
