  1. Was thinking the same but are these two not just the society reps on the board for decision making? Would perhaps make more sense to have a couple of non execs/external board appointments to give an impartial view on the main board
  2. By society type entity I do really mean a corporate/individual to give us a cushion in return for an investment in for example player sales which ultimately has to be our focus on becoming self sustainable
  3. If we did a share option I for one would be onboard with that but I can’t help think we still need another society type entity to offer some level of protection with a view to being fully sustainable on drawing on neither of these entities cover option
  4. Todays result just typifies for me why I have always felt the society model would only work for so long when les Hutcheson extended the deadline time and time again for us to hit the min numbers required to take control the writing was on the wall for me not saying the society doesn’t have a place but a mix of private and fan ownership is the perfect model for me
  5. Don't think Dylan will be the last young prospect that you will see move before the year is out.
  6. What bid was that? Was that the Mexican one under boyle? Think they were Mexicans the way it was described to me was they would look to take a share of the transfer fee as repayment for their investment each year. I’d be all for that if the majority of the transfer fees went into the clubs main pot to be self sustainable I reckon that’s what we are looking for in essence a benefactor that can back us when the society cant My worry with that is would society members switch off their payments more easily if they knew we had a knight in shining Armour in the wings? one of the guys mentioned I know through friends and know he is a massive well fan so can only imagine he has the best intentions for the club
  7. I didn’t see that interview to be fair.
  8. Was told today that 2 EK businessman with US backers are looking to make a bid for a minority stake in the club. Idea would be around providing an interest free credit line each season to the club with a return on investment only through player sales. They are MFC fans and see the Lanarkshire area as having huge potential in growing and developing home grown and US talent and would make separate investment specifically in that area . Not sure if this is one of the reported two offers in todays papers If true the academy is 100% where I would like us to focus on investing over the next 3-5yrs as it should be literally the life blood of our club in helping us become financially sustainable
  9. I fail to believe this was just “forgotten” about to mention to fans or kettlewell. No manager in their right mind would not be aware when his contract extends or ends. it’s clear they missed the boat on announcing it at the time, and were waiting for a string of results to announce it. AGM just came about before the results regardless it doesn’t have a good look on us as a club
  10. He hasn’t signed it but it’s been agreed. Won’t sign it to avoid the backlash but he’s Paisley bound
  11. Best we get used to playing without spittel anyway since he’s off to the MFC B team in Paisley
  12. Ach well at least we know we can beat livi and ross county when it comes to the split 🤦
  13. I feel we have been sleepwalking our way to disaster for a few years now. I am on the understanding that we have been seeking a beneficiary that can provide shortfall funding when we are not self sustainable /propped up by the society for approx 18months now , but has anyone heard any murmurs of anything at all since McMahon and weir came out and said they were looking to step down? even a rumor to give us hope?
  14. Look at our results over the last 20 games now, including a cup exit. Yet folk staunchly defending him. lost 4 inc Scottish cup in a row last season and we sacked our manager manager before that got us top 6 and we sacked him as well. Make it make sense to me please
  15. From what I have been told OX is worse than kelly. Which prob explains why he has never had a look in under the last 2 managers. i hope not though as it’s time for a change between the sticks
  16. Manager takes as long to answer a question as he does a substitution in those interviews
  17. Build a squad round a back 5 and that’s all we can ever change it to. Absolute dog shit. Thank fuck for Ross county and livi
  18. I do yes. Do I believe it merited £1m (as quoted) to be spent on it. No not particularly. Do I agree in the timing of that spend , no not particularly do i believe the money could have been otherwise spend better elsewhere . Yes I do by your response I presume your are defending that spend and have inside knowledge that it merited the spend and was the appropriate time to spend that cash? I also presume you agreed with the perceived added commerical revenues that were planned from the pitch that we are yet to see? all about opinions my friend and if that’s your own stance then we just hold a different opinion
  19. Feel like we say this a lot and altho it’s not a must win for me, a win would make a huge difference to kicking on our season and getting away from that play off position. I have a sneaky feeling livi might start picking points up around the bottom so we need to bridge a gap between the bottom two asap
  20. Where’s the added commercial revenues that burrows stated we would get when it was laid? had hoped we would all be able to get a kick about on it with our mates on a thurs night (for a fee of course) 😂
  21. Pitch looked better before we spunked £1m on it. Glorious failure of use of funds for me
  22. I can’t answer for why the people did what they did tho? They can go public should they choose, they would have had to if Hammell chose to throw them under the bus. Promises were made and retracted after a couple of good results before the summer window shut. Things were leaked that shouldn’t have been. And accountability across board level wasn’t upheld. Amongst pressure to adopt a style and commitments that were ultimately torn up in the Jan when kettlewell was appointed. i have held those above accountable and had the conversations with them directly so I’m not being selective. They know they made mistakes and acknowledged that. I am just saying things were certainly not as they may have seemed from August 22 to Feb 23 and they were up against it, I have no doubt ketlewell is dealing with a number of the same issues as the last manager I do find it weird that we go on such a barren run/ question kettlewells signings/slag off Dawes / blame burrows yet are quite happy this time to keep everything the same by not wanting to change the manager as quickly as we did the last. we need new leadership at the top as quick as possible or I fear like another poster commented we will be the next Dunfermline
  23. I wouldn’t post guesswork . What would be the point
  24. As for the results. The most we lost with a vastly depleted squad ( and a few days of a window) was 3 on the bounce. We just went 13 games without a win there following a number of new signings in the summer. I can’t farthom why people think results last season were worse. difference was there wasn’t a Livingston last year rooted to the bottom . you do know we are on the same points now at this time in Feb as we were under hammell?
  25. Hammell got shafted and could have called out quite a few people in that club for broken promises and some wrong doings. It’s admirable he has kept his silence since he left.
