  1. We had a 20 min purple patch in the first half where we really had them on the ropes and got our 2 goals. The front three were superb, the full team, brimming with confidence, moving at pace and we won the game due to this patch of play. If those 20 mins become the norm and we get more comfortable at holding the ball the rest of the reason could look so much better. Well done lads.
  2. Moving forward the 4-3-3 works really well for us. The front 3 all excellent. That does create problem for us defensively as the 3 men in midfield are quite often over run . Suspect putting Watt into midfield is the key to enabling that to happen
  3. great result - much preferred the first half - too many squeaky bum times there
  4. very good team performance. Good to see several players back to form
  5. WTF is the plan with out bi kicks - why have 2 defeenders in our 6 yard box - I don't get it
  6. The much improved Mugabi could also be added to that list. Get's caught out of position fairly regularly, Good to have options.
  7. as are most clubs. Are we going to do enough to safely avoid the drop. I really hope so.
  8. Watt would do a great job/much better job than Polworth in this old number 10 role.
  9. delighted to have retained Campbell, Gallagher, S'OD. IMO adding quality was key. Kelly has proven that. Other clubs around our size have done that by adding 1 or 2 quality picks. On the face of it , it looks like we've not got our main targets, panicked and picked up some very average players.
  10. Sadly our squad is littered with weak links . Would have preferred to go for someone like Charlie Gilmour who StJohnstone have just signed.
  11. im split on this. In one hand I admire how the club stands by people . On the other we pi55 away many a salary on too many players and end up looking in the bargain basement bucket. Less players of higher quality would be the upside here.
  12. I'm hoping he's not what we were referring to in terms of brining in more players. Hopefully he and S'OD will be classed as retaining with + 1 o 2 new faces arriving. In reality it's a pretty grim barrel that we scrape around in.
  13. Crawford signed until the end of the season.
  14. What's the word on the street Any chance of further signings or are we done fo this window ?
  15. you're avatar pic says it all (even if it's a different film)
  16. Mummy Polworth is pretty angry with us all right now
  17. unless it's someone akin to Davie Cooper
  18. 12 months ago he was one of their top players. We wanted a midfielder, we have a midfielder - 34 years young - he might just be able to do a job.
  19. suspect he's touting for a new job, CV Sounbites I gave everything to Well for 4 years and needed a break Did you know I got to 2 cup finals + 3rd spot £6m in transfers developed youngsters - Turnbull, Campbell, Scott, Cadden All true of course and I wish him well but happy to move on to the next chapter.
  20. Kelly has been excellent - he could have done better with the goal but so could MuGabi and Gallagher Maguire looks very similar to Donnelly - lots of skill and awareness . Only downside is he can be a bit slow. We should keep him in until Donnelly fit and can figure out which is the better of the two players.
  21. feels like a big moment in time for us. Coming back from behind to win + getting 6 shots on target in a single game. Enjoyed listening to GA's post match interview. Onwards and upwards.
  22. huge result important to come from behind - gets rid of that haunting stat this season
  23. our player of the year - one of the few guys who doesn't get any pelters. All we really want is players to give a sh&t
