The goals for or against statistically are reasonable . We normally have a negative goals against . The issue and what feels like a kick in the gut is we've been the better team in all games and if things were 'fair' we'd be top of the league right now. Th difference our final ball into the box/the pass/the composure up front. Being a little more direct in the final third and finding the pass, cross etc would make such a difference. Overall though we're easy on the eye and although frustrating pretty pleased with progress.

I’m very pro our style of football and again thought we were excellent in the first half . our midfield is so much stronger than I can remember in the majority of the 45+ years of following us . the final third for me is an issue and I’m not just saying AP who looks devoid of confidence . we have a lots of players who’s final ball is pretty dreadful and that’s an issue. Several flatter to decisive a little, they have pace and strength but lack the same quality of the midfield . perhaps it will all come together but the majority of our forwards I don’t think offer that much . just to be clear I’m not slagging off any players here nor have any doom and gloom - a little frustrated yes and would like to see a touch better quality in the final 3rd

Im rather enjoying our possession and the frustration it causes the opposition fans . both hearts game ans today with Dundee both actively booing their own team in the first half. I don’t think we’ve been at the edge of your seat good but they haven’t had a kick of the ball very much enjoying this approach to football - long may it continue

For the first time in many years there's very positive signs. The best football I can recall us playing in +40 years, as good as we were in the 90s with McLean and also under Mcghee v1. We have a very good manager, the best squad in years with people who can actually play football. There's a few teams that will be on the wrong end of spanking from us. Aberdeen may well be one of them.

very good player, great servant. I know it was only a 30 min cameo in goals against Celtic but loved that particular appearance from Jamie.

As long as they don’t try and get our manager

Be great to give SK a decent reception /show of respect. Go forth and win 3-0 , That will do nicely

I share your reflections . If we could bring in a Randolph level keeper, central defenders and a no6 I think we'd be one of the best teams in the league. For me yesterday was so very enjoyable until they scored, some of the best football Ive seen us play. We were brilliant as a team for 60 mins but then tired and were poor as a team. I don't think it's just individual errors, as a team we lost our way against a Hearts team who until they scored didn't have the crowd with them. Suspect we'll learn to have better ball retention and like you mentioned a few prudent signings will really help us.

for 60 min we had one of the best team performance I've ever seen from a Motherwell team. An absolutely joy to watch. Just may not be with us for long, top class player and getting better every game.

Personal view is we dominated via midfield for 60 mins and were coasting. Hearts bulked up in midfield and we withdrew Slattery and put on forward players. I thought Hearts dominated us for the final 30 and honestly could have won, which would have been even more gutting. I don't think it's all down to the defence or keeper, we didn't react well to their subs and made formational changes and poor subs that for me lost our way completely . The joys of being a Well fan.

Easy to blame the keeper. It hearts were dominant in final 30 . When hearts scored their first we should have shored up the midfield - brining on wingers and taking off midfield players I think was poor game mgt . we allowed hearts to run over us - gaffer as good as he’s been needs to learn from that .

I thought he was writing out his next order of parma tan .

great to see us continue to have majority of possession and get a goal. Just is a touch of class but the whole team deserve credit. I love that we're playing well and the natives have been booing their own team. Another goal from us will send them apoplectic - what a shame that would be.

A squad of 28 is getting too big to be manageable and that's before we bring in what I hope to be defensive minded additions. There are 11 forward players in our squad, would expect that to reduce to 7 over time. Can't be good odds for Nicholson, Robinson, Stuprevec , Sule (even when they are fit).

For me Stamma is a 6 yard box player and who'll tuck chances away when he's playing with confidence. I don't think he's strong enough to hold up play and at the moment doesn't look like he's brimming with confidence, all too often taking an extra touch. Equally I don't think our final ball into the box is helping, if we counter attack and get decent balls in he'll get on the end of it. Watching the game yesterday my basic thought was we should take £800k if that was offered.

Agree on style of play , I don’t remember ever having a team that can retain the ball , find one another . Some of the midfield play has been superb . we need to learn to be ruthless , up front the final ball and decisions haven’t been great . The exception was the goal , we did the simple thing and took the goal well . With a bit more confidence and composure we could have many handsome wins. final point is the ball retention has made us damn hard to score against . Can’t see many teams thumping us

nor me - tried finding perm sports but not working either

951 ! In all seriousness I'm enjoying watching us again, it's been really entertaining and expect us to win.

Most folks were happy we signed Biereth on loan, knowing we'd never make money from when his parent club cashed in.
-
Re Bailey Rice- if he was a youngster from England suspect we'll be pretty happy. Complimenting our squad with players better than we can afford works for us. The debate appears more around proximity to developing players from teams in the same league as ours. I can understand that agree with Mio's point re not being able to play against Rangers. We do need to bolster the midfiled options, if we have some young guns coming through then great, if not players I'm someone like Rice with similar potential to Miller can have positive outcomes for us both short and longer term.

Think we’ve had lots of very good managers . Like manny have mentioned McLean & what he did for the club over a long period is in my lifetime our best manager . I liked the football under McGhee v1 , same with McCall , Craig brown but overall wee Tommy was my fav .
-
Nothing to apologies for - good for the all Scottish football for our clubs to do well . similarly good to see so many Scottish players progress in Europe .
-
Anyone know how mcghees recovery is coming along ? Be good to have him slot into our defence . as much as I dislike Gogic yesterday I can’t help but think we’d benefit from this type of player at the back and going McGhee can do this
-
First half was the better of the two . We didn’t create many chances and the word ‘powderpuff ‘ is fair . thought we were poor second half and don’t have any bench strength to change it . fadinger in the defensive mid role gives the protection that’s been missing for some time . Thought he was excellent
-
Midfield have gone missing this half - need to swap one of them out
