After Patterson’s performance last night, SOD should cancel any summer holidays and prepare for a recall. The ex-R##### made more errors in each half of the game than SOD made in total in all his appearances. But haven’t heard mention of it anywhere.

Have you actually seen SO’D play for the past three years? If that’s who Scotland turn to to solve their right back issues then God help them.

And I love how you refer to Patterson as “The ex Ranger” rather than “the Everton player” which he has been for well over two years now. Is that all you see him as? There must be some amount of mental gymnastics involved in supporting Scotland for those who just can’t see past their hatred of Rangers.

His first task should be to boot Bob Park into the sun.

I disagree, his first act as CEO should be collating the head of social media and getting them to remove that dreadful patronising nonsense “we exist to improve people’s lives” from all platforms.

That’s what I would do anyway.

It wasn't a friendly and I doubt it was meaningless to Lennon Miller. If the players don't want to play international football, they can simply choose not to go, but I suspect it means more to them than it does to you.

And what possible difference is Scotland  getting pumped going to make?

You’re right it wasn’t a friendly, so I stand corrected on that one.

But for me International football is pointless and it is especially pointless not to mention completely disruptive when it forces the real football to stop for an entire week or so during the season. Why can’t they just play these games in May/June in years where there is no World Cup or Euros?

And Scotland getting pumped by Holland isn’t going to make many difference to anything, but I will still have a chuckle about it.

I am hearing that Lennon's injury is serious and he may be out for the rest of the season.

Of course it’ll be a season ended. Our players just can’t pick up wee niggles that keep them out for one or two games. :wallbash:

  5. Get international football in the fucking bin! It’s bad enough we can’t seem to go a few weeks without key players picking up injuries when they’re with us but when it’s playing a meaningless friendly for the National team then it just rubs salt in the wound.

I hope Holland pump Scotland tomorrow night as a GIRUY to the SFA.

I don't think we did deserve to lose , we were abysmal but Aberdeen were worse. Our age old failing , teams only need one shot at goal to beat us. All game we boot the ball long then with two mins left of normal time, we decide to play possession football and don't put a single ball into the Aberdeen area.

We need a serious clear out if we manage to stay up, this lot will always put us in bother

I take your point but if a side is only needing one shot at goal to beat us and we can’t get back in the game with over half of a football match still to play, at home, then I’d say that we deserve to lose. It’s fine margins in this league and games like today’s more often than not come down to which side can take chances at one end and keep goals out at the other.

I can't agree with that. We weren't good enough to win, but we certainly didn't deserve to lose. Far too passive in the game in the first half, better in the second, but no real goal-scoring forwards is a problem. We don't have anyone that can convert half chances. A draw would probably have been the right result.

The VAR decision was in the 43rd minute. As harsh as it looked we were already behind at that stage and deservedly so. We then had an entire half of football to get back level but we never looked like we would score.

“We don’t have anyone that can convert half chances”.

You’re right there. And that is why we lost today and deserved to lose, because if you can’t score goals then you don’t win football matches.

Var didn't lose us that game today. It didn't help but neither did players who are slow of thought and movement , can't pass a ball to a teammate, can't tackle properly  , not to mention a poor team selection and tactics and substitutions. We could still be playing and still won't have scored a goal.

No arguments there, we deserved to lose.

VAR is a separate issue, and as I said is ruining football matches.

If i messed up at my job as hard as the officials at Fir park did today i would be suspended or even sacked, So why do these clowns get to keep pulling this shit week in week out ? If what happend today happend to Celtic or Rangers there would maybe be an investigation but because we are small time nothing will happen. They will be out next week making a horses arse of some other game. Not much to play for now but saying that if we keep playing like we did today we might find ourselves in the play off spot 💁‍♀️

It’s the inconsistencies with VAR and refereeing decisions that is most frustrating. What you see pulled back one week is let go the next. It’s just scunnering.

That said we were awful today. Flat, ineffective, weak in midfield and conceded a poor goal. Just so depressingly predictable.

We’ve been brutal to be fair - bar decision aside we need to reshape and put energy into the game

It’s been depressingly predictable so far. After beating Rangers at Ibrox the other week following that up with a dismal performance and a loss at home to a poor Aberdeen side was always on the cards.

VAR is a complete fucking nonsense.  Fans are going to quit going to games.

No wonder. One of the best things about games was celebrating when your team scored. But now you can’t fully celebrate just in case a player who put a cross ins big toe was offside.

Yeah, there was nothing in his career stats that suggested he was likely to repeat, or even get near, last season's goal tally.

It's something the folk who think we should sell Fir Park to get Spittal tied down need to remember. When one of our guys has a career best year, both parties come out of it winners, but consistently great players just don't sign here in the first place.

No player is bigger than the club. It doesn’t matter how well they have done for us or how ‘pally’ they are with some supporters, at the end of the day players will come and go but the club will always be here. If KvV, Blair Spittal or whoever decide to move on after a good season with us then good luck to them, as long as we as a club do okay from the deal.

  13. We got the best of Kevin van Veen, especially in the last few months of his time with us. He was confident, fit and scoring regularly. He was always going to leave last summer when his stock was at its peak and him and his agent were seeing £££ signs. Had he stayed here I don’t think he would have been anywhere near 29 goals this season.
