VAR was rejected by the top-flight clubs in Sweden, so it's not outwith the realm of possibility with collective objection/action. Although it was never introduced there in the first place, so a slightly different situation.
2 up front tomorrow..? Actually thought Ebiye showed some nice touches when he came on midweek, and Armstrong certainly deserves another crack at it. Be intersesting to see how we line up anyhow.
Credit to the manager and players for the changes/fightback. Good to see Ox in again - made a couple of big saves at 0-0. We got lucky for 2nd Dundee goal ruled out and 1st half we were pretty terrible. Nothing against O'Donnell but he passed the ball to opposition players/straight out the park numerous times. Feel a bit for Koutroumbis - he's been solid since getting a long-awaited chance, but a poor tackle so no arguements there. Off the back of that, be good to see 2 forwards as the starting formation for the last few games, maybe Seddon or Wilson back in the team and hopefully Liam Gordon returning from injury.
Dire game as others already said, real lack of quality. Only positive for me was Johnny Koutroumbis who played well. Would like to see Ox back in goal, Paton in CM and think Wilson deserves another go at LB. Not sure if there's a solution in the squad for our struggles in the forward area... Ebiye well out of the picture it would seem.
No sign of Blaney, NIcholson or Will Dickson in yesterday's squad, wonder if they're carrying knocks or just left out.
Still a pretty lengthy injury list as well - Oxborough, Mair, McGinn, Seddon, Callaghan (never been available I suppose...), Vale, Robinson and Stamatelopoulos 😖
Dreadful, against one of the leagues worst sides, yet again. Unlucky with early effort off the post and maybe it's a different game if that goes in. But overall just truly dire stuff. Watt, O'Donnell and Halliday are painfully slow with the ball and all 3 simply not good enough to be playing. Fun end to the season ahoy...
Wild inconsistencies in VAR decision-making has been highlighted once again after this months review of Marley Watkins winner against Dundee Utd (in comparison to our disallowed goal v the rangers). From BBC -
Collum believes the decision to award Kilmarnock a controversial winning goal against Dundee United was the correct one. Marley Watkins challenged with United goalkeeper Jack Walton in the air to head home and the goal was given following a VAR review. The Tannadice club contacted the SFA after the game to say they feel VAR continues to lead to "inconsistent interpretations" of the laws of the game. "We support the decision," Collum said. "There's not enough here for a foul on the goalkeeper. "The Kilmarnock player makes inevitable contact with the Dundee Utd goalkeeper and it's not enough to be illegal contact. We believe the goal was right to stand."
VAR has been an absolutely terrible addition since introduced, at all levels, for me. As a fan you can no longer really celebrate a goal like before because you're now always anticipating some kind of intervention, and it hasn't really reduced the amount of debate or subjectivity around big decisions. Shite.
Not sure where the £4m price tag for Miller has materialised from, but I think the club should be asking more than this if true, given his talent, age and with 1.5 years left of current contract. Also agree with others that if/when he does eventually depart, would obviously hate to see him end up at either of the bigot bros.
I have generally liked SK throughout his tenure, but he comes across as being on the defensive throughout this interview, as though he's being 'got at' a wee bit - by the media, match officials and supporters. In my opinion, he clearly puts his all into the managerial post and rightly points to the fact we are still in a good league position despite squad injury challenges throughout the season so far. I do however sometimes wonder if they are over-analysing games with the players and would like to see the team just getting back to doing the basics of football well, having watched them struggle badly of late...
Ellery Balcombe - goalkeeper who was on loan to St.Mirren during the first part of this season, is incoming according to this article.

Absolutely horrible display again today. Injuries are no excuse - the players on the park should at the very least be giving their best effort and they certainly don't look like they are just now. Seen a few of the 1st team recently saying that it's "the best changing room" they've ever been in and things to that effect. Aye very good, having some great craic every day lads, nice one. How about trying to look like professional footballers who actually give a f*ck for the fans who pay to watch that utter pish.
Mika Biereth has just been sold to AS Monaco for a reported fee of around £10.8million plus add-ons. His stats are brilliant, was a joy to watch when we had him..!

On Johnny K, going from what Frail is saying here - just sounds like he hasn't managed to get enough match practice in since the injury in pre-season to be considered. Signed a 2-year contract in the summer so hope we see him playing at some stage. Marvin Kaleta was obviously loaned in because of JK injury and has done quite well. I imagine the original plan was to run with 2 right-back options in SO'D and JK. The club must have seen some potential in him, otherwise could have easily picked up another RB from this side of planet earth! Here's an interview with him from the other week - https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/motherwell-star-johnny-koutroumbis-opens-34221744
