Easy solution is for all the diddy clubs to take a leaf out of the Arsecheeks' book and refuse to play in game where David Dickinson is refereeing Rangers
McGinn and SOD were the CB pairing in the 0-0 against Saints earlier this season. McGinn was tremendous against Utd with Welsh.
McGinn has to start for me - he's also captain so can't see him being dropped.
Why should he though? Every other time we passed about at the back we beat Celtic's press, the one time we failed they scored. What if he boots it up, Celtic player wins the ball, passes to a teammate and then scores immediately? Is that really seen as a better option?
It's the risk we are taking and it's absolutely fine when it works.
Watch the 3rd goal back. AP runs back towards the halfway line and drags his centre half with him, whilst doing this he's pointing exactly where SOD's ball needs to go.
I think AP should be doing better with the few chances he gets but it looks like he's doing exactly what Askou wants him to do for the benefit of the team right now. The goals will come.
Just had a look at this game. There’s a couple of ex Well players playing for Rotherham - Kaleta and Zak Jules. Apparently Liam Kelly has left Rangers and become a midfielder according to flashscore
Looking forward to this one - will be my first trip to McDiarmid. Should be a good game with how Saints are playing just now, however they certainly won't be pushovers. Will be interesting to see how McGinn and SOD/Gordon/Blamer cope with big Ikpeazu and Sidibeh's pace. We should be able to create a few chances as well with Saints actually attacking us. Will go 2-1 or 1-2.
