  1. Good point, guys! Indeed, if Goian played in the 2nd leg we would've surely looked better in defense. He had no rival in Romania or in the European competitions when speaking about headers. In fact, now that he is gone , I can remember the game we played against FCM Bacau in 2005, on their stadium, and their massive CB, named Dorin Goian, scored us a goal. How? With a header We were He sure is strong and big! We bought him and soon after he became our goalscorer in the UEFA Cup 2005-2006 season! There was a time when big clubs(or maybe just rumors) from Premiere League were interested in buying him, but his destiny wanted him to continue with us. Our minister of defense! To be honest with you, we know we sucked in the first half. Those 45 mintes were probably our worst moments ...since that horrible night of April in Middlesbrough(2006). Our youngsters and few of the usual starters thought they came in Scotland to have a quick relaxing game and nothing more. We may be technique, but we sure do lack healthy and strong morale and ... consistency, especially while playing against teams that never give up, like the ones from UK. So, you see, that is why we were that awfull and unrecognizable. Like I promised, I am going to watch all Motherwell's games this season, so, any of you kind to tell me when does your SPL begin?
  2. Games are over, our ways split here... We sure do enjoyed chatting with you guys, and we hope we made a better impression than the albanians IF not, well ... blame it on our weather I'll definitely keep an eye on Motherwell this season and probably I'll put a bet or two on them while against the others scottish teams ( except the old firm ). That way I'll make some money "with you" Good Luck! and all the best from Bucharest, Romania! Cheers!
  3. And here you have the goals! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8VJFmlI3Lc Toja will play in the 2nd leg, but Ghionea (injured) and Goian (suspended) won't! Baciu and Tudose will replace them in the first XI. My guess, Bergodi will change some things and also the line-up. I bet on: ------------Zapata --------------- Golanski, Tudose, Baciu,P.Marin Nicolita, Ionescu, Onicas, Toja -----------Surdu, Stancu---------
  4. Just got back from the stadium... I read all the post written here and i must say... I love the scots!!! The best team won...and that's it. That is why we all love football and sport. WE trust and cheerish fair-play because it's a whole lot better when, in the end, after the game, we shake our hands, players and supporters, and go on with our love for football. One more thing, your left wing, Slane?, is a very promising young player!!!! How much for him?
  5. Look people, isn't he a retard? How pathetic!
  6. OOhh, here's William Wallace! Superb movie: Braveheart
  7. The manager of Shelbourne is really stupid! As well as Becali and the authors of those articles. Remember this! (things wrote by a Steaua supporter!) Steaua's fans are not RACISTS!!! That supid manager is talking shite! 1. Last year Steaua loaned a black player from Charleroi, Belgium. His name was Habib Habibou, a french player. Even if he spent a little time in Steaua, every time he played, all of the fans were chanting "HABIBOU!" You need prove? Here you have it ( a video made in the north stand) 2. Andres Mendoza from Peru, Pepe Moreno from Colombia, Habib Habibou from France, Rufay Zapata from Colombia, Ifeany Emeghara from Nigeria, Semedo from Portugal : all black players! They were/are our players and none of them ever made one single complaint about those racist bullshit! 3. For those who are going to see the game in our stadium: Don't need to worry about anything! We all know that the british supporters are well educated and most of all, fair-play! I still remember the game we played 7 or 8 years ago against Southampton in Ghencea, when lots of english supporters were exchanging tshirts and caps with our fans in front of our stadium. I assure you, we know what fair-play is! 4. I got my tickets today and i must warn you all: the stadium will be full! At 12:30, 500 people were at the stadium purchasing their tickets. After just half on hour, when i left, there were at least 1.000. Let the best team win!
  8. I've said this before earlier, it will be broadcasted by PROTV, Thursday at 18:45 (your time)!!! Gsptv and sport.ro have nothing to do with this game or any other games played in Europe.
  9. I guess that was sport.ro. The game between Steaua and Motherwell will now be broadcasted by ProTv. I don't know if you guys can see it on TV, but you'll definitely found the protv channel in here or here They only work with I.E.
  10. Interesting fan you have here Goian used to score goals at almost any set piece, but in the last season, we've (all team) only scored few goals. We shall surely miss Kapetanos(striker, suspended for the first leg) and O.Petre (tall centre midfielder, now recovering from a knee injury) when receiving free kicks and corners. Speaking about tactics, you must know that in Bucharest we usualy play with 12 players. At the international games, all the people in the stadium puts an enormous pressure on the opponents. That might count a lot considering that , from what i've read, you have a squad full of youngsters. This is a video made last year ( before, during and after the game) about the atmosphere in Ghencea stadium, in the second leg of the third qulifying round of Champions League against Turkish champions, Galatasaray. It ended 1-0 for us, scored #16, Nicolita (it was offside, we know , but we would've still qulified without that goal because in the first leg it was 2-2, in Istanbul)
  11. The official store it's in the stadium. See this for all the info you need about the costs. I have two questions for you guys How many of you will come to Bucharest? and How fast do you get drunk?
  12. I did say i like to exagerate There were 15.000 (this time is for real , see this ) Hagi is doing well, he now has a Fotball Academy to run. He is still a trainer
  13. It depends. Now everybody is in vacation... Probably 200 or 300 supporters, at least. There are many romanians living in UK that might wanna see a live game of Steaua. All the romanians ( not all, of course, i like to exagerate ) love Steaua! In case you haven't find out by now, Steaua had 20.000 supporters in Bernabeu (a record for the Bernabeu stadium) when they played in Champions against Real Madrid.
  14. Hello, Scotlaaaaaand! Hello, Well fans! Sooooo, how scared are you? You are welcomed in Bucharest! You can drink our beer, eat our damn good food (like "mititei" and "sarmale", unique in the whole world), have fun with our chicks ( still, it's not a sin to cheat your wife every once and a while ), BUT you are NOT ALLOWED to beat us! That's a sin! Is it rude for me, if i say we will you crush you like ... little bugs? AAah, kidding!! 3-0 in the first leg will do it! Cheers!
