Second half last night was as good as I've seen from us since McCall has been here, possibly even since McGhee's first season. The football we played was beautiful and three of our four goals were the result of brilliant team play. Like someone said above though, it's gutting to watch that knowing we are out the cup and aren't going to win any silverware and the likes of Hearts and St.Mirren, who have had pish seasons compared, one of them is going to win the league cup tomorrow and that Hibs team whom we ripped apart last night have a great chance of reaching the Scottish Cup Final. Just one of the joys of being a Motherwell fan I suppose but I live in hope that one day we'll win one of the cups again, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Our corners are deplorable. How many fooking times do we end up defending up the other end as a result of our utter shiteness at taking a corner kick! We're never scoring here tonight by the looks of things but unless we tighten up at the back then we'll concede again.

1-0 Hibs in an awful game.

It's an almost certainty that we would have missed it had it been awarded. I've lost count of the amount of match changing or potentially match changing spot kicks we've missed in recent years.

It's a home game, one that is very winnable for us and we are in a very tight battle for second place in the SPL. After Ross County's win today they are only two points behind us and will have their sights on getting the 2nd placed finish too, they are in good form just now so we need to be winning games like Friday.

Friday night is massive now, anything less than a win for us will not be good enough.

Yes I accept that, however I cannot ignore the 'fuck off Hateley ya h*n c^nt'' that I've heard shouted from some folk in the East Stand in recent times aswell as some of the bile posted about both Hateley and McCall on sites like twitter regarding their 'Rangers' connection.

Hateley has been poor this season, there is no denying that and it's only natural that he's going to attract criticism as a result. However, dare I say it, the fact that his father is who he is and has 'Rangers' connections is also a big contributory factor in the abuse that he takes from *some* sections of the Motherwell support.

Yip, in arguably the two biggest games between the two sides since they last beat us in the league they have got the better of us. That still angers me to this day, especially last season's Quarter Final when we had potentially a very good chance of reaching the final and even going all the way, yet we blew it and did the same this season. Anyway that's in the past now, as for Saturday I think we'll get another draw up there, probably with yet another late equaliser for them. 2-2

Far, far too much over confidence in here. This will be a tough game, it always is at Tynecastle and teams who sack their manager very often bounce back with a much improved performance in the very next game. Plus, don't forget how awful we've been in two out of our last three games, especially last Saturday, and as good as Wednesday night was it doesn't change the fact that we've turned in some utter stinkers of late and our recent away form is dire. As I said, we'll be brought back down to earth with a bump today, it's the Motherwell way.

Lets hope we make the 'debut' for the new Hearts caretaker manager as memorable as John Robertson's against us at Tynecastle in November 2004.

The singing section was superb tonight. The pisstake of 'Come on you Bhoys in Green' in the first half when there was barely a peep out of the Celtic support was hilarious.

That's exactly what we did and that's why we won IMO. We all know Celtic have quality players in their side but too often in the recent past we've stood and admired them as they strolled past us. Tonight we didn't give them a minute to settle, we chased them and got in their faces at every turn, Law especially but Lasley too put in a superb shift in the engine room and even when they levelled we didn't allow the heads to drop, as they often have done whenever we concede in these types of games. We just picked ourselves up and went back at them and we got our rewards as a result. Tonight was just like the good old days of the 1990s with Motherwell matching Celtic at Fir Park, and beating them through hard graft and giving their better players no respect whatsoever. Delightful to watch.

Un-fucking-believable! What a night and what a superb result which we fought brilliantly hard to get. Well done Stuart McCall and all the players tonight. And get it right up that mhob and their poisonous fans. That's the quietist I've ever heard a celtic support at Fir Park and there's few better feelings in football in getting one over them.
