  1. I'd have liked a manager who could build a team, and believes that Motherwell is something other than a stopgap till something better comes along, if McGhee is successful then he will be linked again to Celtic if he flops then no one will bother bar the folk on here. And we'll be back looking for a new manager next year
  2. Yep we've got a team of really hard working players who are receptive to new ideas!!
  3. Terrible appointment, the man hawked himself to every other club he could, then left us with a team in tatters and failed at Aberdeen big style, if he's the best applicant then god help us. When's the McGhee Out thread starting
  4. Clarke's a bomb scare failed at every level, don't want Mcghee, someone like Holloway would be ideal, but no chance we'd see him here, Nigel Pearson would do if only for his press conferences
  5. A good quality manager is what is required there should be someone in the 75 applications
  6. Think i'd throw his name back out 1 point after 7 games only victory at the weekend over the bottom team, I can see him really appealing to the guys on here
  7. Anyone see Kennedy got a 5 in the daily record obviously the reporter was no where need fir park
  8. Grimshaw was fine a young player who had not played any first team football before coming here, where are the people who want to see young players getting a chance, there the same ones who were fed up finishing 2nd and 3rd and just wanted a cup run. As ever be careful what you wish for.
  9. People with very short memories, McGhee left us if the shit when he moved to Aberdeen, practically no team and Michael Fraser in goal, he better not even be in the frame
  10. All it needs is players to stand up and play to there ability - simple
  11. Can never understand why the bad eggs are not just named and shamed and told to GTF no matter who they are. The club is more important than one or two individuals, sounds from Craigen's pre match some may or may not want to come on our journey
  12. I here Ian Cathro's looking for his first managerial job

    Baraclough Out

Is this the same thing as last year when the players looked as if they had downtools for McCall, have we a serious player issue at the club?

    Baraclough Out

So he's played different formations and dropped players that people on here have been calling for him to drop, and the results are still the same, so maybe its some of the senior pro's that need to look to themselves. There is a lot of talk about Baraclough's performance and little complaint about anyone bar Taylor
  15. Just watched the highlights they must be well edited because we did not look as bad as everyone on here is saying were a new team settling in a penalty and a goalkeeping error not exactly a thumping against Hearts who as others have said are riding high on last years exploits. Lets see how its going by Christmas
  16. In all honesty the guy would be better leaving he could go through the season without conceding and folk on here would still say he's too small,no good, alright for a backup.
  17. Hollman looks like another great signing, how long before he ends up at Aberdeen
  18. Can't afford players that are continually injured no matter how good they are/ were

Erwin for me got us going with 2 great goals in the first half

    Baraclough Out

Always said that he needed time, I for one am delighted that he's turned it around. The club has had a massive shake up much needed, I'm sure hat the new fitness guy and assistant have had a hand in our recent improvement to. Sure we will have a few more twists but hopefully we can escape the playoffs and look to new season with some optimism. In my opinion players that have turned it around for us in the last few weeks Ainsworth - I've been very critical of him in the past but when he wants to he can create something special. Baraclough has recognised that and said so. Erwin - young boy raw talent but much more mobile than Sutton, Baraclough has had the bravery to stick by him when it would have been easy to drop him McDonald - the missing piece has provided the experence and danger lacking before he came Johnson - first winger we have had that can pass a man and deliver a ball in ages Sutton - is he now a super sub Baracloughs handling of Sutton is outstanding and all credit to Sutton for the way he has performed since coming on from the subs bench rather that starting Pearson - experence sharing the midfield with Lasley who was in my opinion being slaughtered here because he was trying to do everything and in the end was getting swamped Law - recognising that he's a right back and leaving him there
  21. Johnson has been great for us the crosses he puts into the box cause all sorts of bother and with delivery like that it's only time before we start connecting, he'll be the best winger we've had in years
  22. He scored the winning goal last week was worth a go and with better final ball could have created the winner late on
  23. He was going past him at will I'd say he had him on toast, got at least 4 good crosses in the first half alone. Stalker was only caught out once when Johnson went over to the right and Stalker had no options ahead and lost the ball high up the field. On another day we could have scored at least 4 were making chances, things are much improved
  24. Johnson was the best player today by a mile some great crosses over just looking for someone to get there head on one. Got to mention Stalker who against Dundee was a nightmare but did look a lot better today. Great freekick from Skippy for the equaliser. Again we were the better team today and on the balance deserved to win onwards and upwards
