  1. I believe that he did have some good qualities introduced a youthful passing game and yes, i was going to the games looking forward to seeing something different and fresh. Guys like JOB were like new players, we were almost guaranteed a penalty and playing against 10 men every week (all be it we could never beat 10 men). I out tactics were not working he was on the touchline sorting it out and making early changes BUT That was where it ended, surely you don't just discard all the experience, I agree guys like Craigan , Lasley are great servants to the club and are good professionals. Why he fell out with them we may never know. It can't have been performances they hardly played. I heard he just took a dislike to you and would not talk to you Laterly you could see each week as he lost another player, you would see his team change, No JOB, Coke, I'm not averse to introducing Youth, but Meechan against Celtic for 90 mins whats that all about. Hamilton away I believe was a segnificant game. In fact after the half time team talk our performances in many games towards the end of Gannon's rein was worst. You can't be successful anywhere without good communication, i i think this was sadly lacking. Lets face it footballs a team game. When you loose the team your as well away, perhaps he will learn from this and move on.
  2. I'm disappointed to see Gannon, go when he arrived I thought we had captured an young manager with fresh ideas and a forward thinking attitude promoting youth and lets be honest saw through some players that were picking up a good wage and not producing. Sadly things have deteriorated since the refereeing comments as have the results. It's clear he was loosing the dressing room, his strange selection's for the old firm games and the total collapse in the 2nd half against StJ. so there must have been some back room unrest. My guess is that he was sacked before there was a full scale revolt. I hope that we have not been put off with this experience and find ourself with a quality manager with fresh idea's that can get everyone pulling in the right directions. Not one off the old merry go round Don't lose the faith we've still got some great young players, hope the new manager uses them sensibly
  3. Why would he want to leave us just when he's starting to build a team here, Just more rubbish from the gutter press i'd say!!! From all I've read here Gannon, seams to be a pretty loyal guy
  4. Is Jennings not on a 3 year deal?. I guess if the experienced players we've got are not pushing for a first team slot by now, we should be looking to offload and that what Gannon is doing. No problem with that
  5. He taught English at Dalziel in the 70's, or should i say he turned up, then nipped out the class for a quick fag
  6. Totally agree that its great to hear a manager who is committed to the club, not just looking for a move after 5 mins at the club. From what I've seen so far he an identify a weakness in opposition and adjust the system / personal quckly, so no more waiting until the 85th min to make changes. Sure he will get it wrong now and again, that's the game. but at least he appears to be trying. In the current climate no one is spending, if we can keep the current progress, bring on our young players the only way is up, Remember the u19's have won 6 -1 twice this year!!!. Its a rollercoaster, keep positive and look forward to exciting times ahead
  7. He's only 5' 9", think we will be looking for someone with a bit more presence
