  1. Your fuckin right i have an issue with Boyle. This is the latest in a long line of incompetent fuck ups on his part. I am royally hacked off with the stewardship of the club since Boyle bumbled his way in talking about the "NEW Motherwell" and then taking a club in the black deep into debt. I am not sure that Gannon was even sacked, I have a feeling that he walked. Anyway we will find out soon. I have never believed or stated he is Machiavellian - I dont thinks hes that clever. He is an opportunist but certainly not a long term planner. There is no plan other than to make money for Boyle and then get out. The club is still up for sale is it not? And if you believe that there is some long term goal here to make us a force in the SPL then you sir are delusional.

No they didnt ALL get 2 seasons. Only 3 out of seven were here for two seasons and only 1 was here for more then that. Not sure I can be bothered repeating this again so I refer the right honourable gentleman to the answer I gave some posts ago. What Im looking for is some stability and 8 management teams in 11 years is NOT in any way shape or form stability. Brown is interim so doubtful he will be here long term so we are looking at 4 different management teams in the space of 1 year. Even the most optimistic Boyle fan must admit that this is NOT stability. And by the way YOU were the one who claimed that we cant retain managers because they want to move on to bigger and better things. Apparently now it doesnt come into it. Fuck sake even your arguments are unstable
  4. No Im saying that IF we sign Ruddy permanently and no one else then it will confirm my suspicions as to why Gannon either walked or was sacked.
  5. Aaah Welldaft apologist for Boyle. i knew you would jump in. I have accepted that Gannon is gone, but i cant accept that Boyle is still there. As Im sure you know your hero done lots of work and research into Gannons background and took lots of advice on the subject. Which makes it strange that he would get cold feet and fail to back his manager when the going gets tough......in fact i am becoming more and more convinced that Welldaft is John Boyles fuck buddy

Same tired argument which has already been disproved because other than McGhee we have received fuck all compensation for any of his managers. And as Ive already said our ambitious managers dont actually leave for better things do they.
  7. Yeah it would be for Boyle. But when Gannon asks why there was no money for him to replace the players he doesnt rate and is told no chance. Then Boyle sees a golden opportunity to make himself some cash he dives in. Fantastic move. Not only do we NOT strengthen the areas we need to but we lose a manager and we sign no one in the transfer window. No manager in place til after tthe window closes im willing to bet. John Boyle is a rich man for a reason. And its not because he has the best interests of motherwell fans at heart.

Ach you know what I mean. The rumbling Im getting tonight is that he is not happy as he thought he was getting a chance to have a go at the first team. My mate is mate of his blah blah blah.

Eric Black was in charge for less than a year also. So 4 out of 7 have had less than a year before either leaving or being sacked. And even if I take your point about Butcher then that's 1 out of 7 moved on to bigger and better (incidentally i dont agree with you on that). So your argument is flawed again. The problem is retention of managers and thats my argument. If Boyle had done his research he would have known what Gannon was like and what would be required to allow him to produce the kind of results and performance that made him a legend at Stockport. But as they couldnt agree on what to spend the money on we will never know.
  10. Ill be there....terrific cause. Hope the old knees can cope
  11. And yet he done ALL of these things at Stockport. Boyle knew this because Gannon was appointed after a diligent and exhaustive search for the right man. So why sack him when he does exactly that? Or is it really some kind of masterstroke by Boyle to..........nah cant think of anything. Scotlands answer to Vlad the mad.
  12. Yeah cos the chairman should be the one who determines where the money is spent on playing staff. not the manager. that would be silly Especially when hes looking to pocket a percentage of the profit. Masterstroke by Boyle. the man truly is a genius at lining his own pockets.
  13. - After their first 17 league games Mark McGhee 52.9% Terry Butcher 29.4% Billy Davies 29.4% Maurice Malpas 29.4% Eric Black 29.4% Jim Gannon 23.5% Points tallied. Mark McGhee 29pts Jim Gannon 20pts Billy Davies 20pts Eric Black 19pts Terry Butcher 15pts Maurice Malpas 7pts Biggest defeats of recent years. 7-0 at home to Celtic & 5-0 against St Johnstone during Davies' first 17 games 5-1 defeat to Livingston during Butchers first 17 games 4-1 defeat to ICT and a 6-1 loss to Hibs during Malpas' first 17 games 6-1 loss to rangers during Gannons first 17 games. Lies, damn lies, and statistics
  14. If he buys Ruddy it will answer a lot of questions about his decision to sack Gannon.

That will be George Young out the picture all together then. He went for the job when McGhee left. i would not be surprised if he left next. And by the way this is not a pop at Boyle just an observation

The biggest flaw in your argument is that NONE of our managers under Boyle have left to manage in either League 1 or the Championship. Kampman left to go back to Finland Davies sacked - became assistant manager at PNE Black left due to administration - eventually became assistant manager at Coventry Butcher - left to go Australia and now plying his trade in the First Division Malpas sacked because he was pish McGhee left for another SPL club I would suggest that there is a problem with retaining managers. i dont know what the problem is but it would appear that leaveing for better things is not the reason.

Im begining to agree that ferguson could be the man.

Davies was not lined up hence the reason Jim Griffin was caretaker. When Kampman left (not sacked) it was a complete surprise to everyone so Boyle cant be blamed for that I agree. When Davies was sacked there was no one in place hence the reason Softy was caretaker and there were a number of interviews Butcher was hardly lined up. In fact he was only persuaded to stay by Black. When it became apparent that McGhee was leaving there was no attempt to line anyone up until well after he left for Aberdeen. I take your point on him being offered it but im not sure at what point he was offered it and at which stage he knocked it back. Malpas was the only one who was truly "lined up". But i take your point. I am really struggling to find positives in this and I know im coming across as really negative. Im just fed up with the constant managerial merry go round. I think darren Ferguson could be a good shout. His record at Peterboro was pretty solid til they got into the Championship. Whoever we get I reckon we need to stick with him for at least 2 years. We talk about stability in the club. But I feel that its been a long time since we had any stability whatsoever.
  19. "Its understood" is press talk for "we are making this bit up" much like "the bbc has learned" or "a source close to the victim/villain informed us" Chick young is the worlds greatest at this type of "journalism"

As i have said before i doubt very much that anyone is lined up. It would be totally against John Boyles philosophy on motherwell so far. I would love Burley but I just cant see it. I cant see anyone of any real stature wanting it.
