If Celtic only beat us by a three goal margin then it will be a good result for us.
Let's face the facts here. We are rubbish and can't score in a brothel just now and are up against a Celtic side who are by far and away the best side in the country just now and are unbeaten in something like eighteen matches, scoring goals for fun and will be on an almighty high having just thumped Rangers, who don't forget took six off us not two weeks ago without breaking sweat. Celtic have players who can absolutely rip opponents to shreds, for instance Commons, Izaguirre, Brown, Samaras & Hooper and if they can destroy Rangers then God knows what they could do to our disjointed, low in confidence, sorry mob.

Did I miss Billy Reid's apology for his accusation that John Sutton conned the referee? TV replays clearly showed Canning was all over Sutton like a rash, contact was clearly made and it was definitely a penalty. Did Sutton make the most of it? Yes, but are you telling me an Accies player wouldn't have done the same thing?
For Reid to question Sutton's integrity is bang out of order, but he guy is an arsewipe of the highest order, I hope Accies are relegated, down the divisions in quick fashion or go out of business - I don't mind which - and I hope Reid secures the job he so richly deserves, cleaning the toilets in Hamilton Central station.

Couldn't agree more Stef. To quote Eliza Doolittle lyric in her song our fans are "99% an embarrassment".
Exactly who do our fans think we are or expect us to be? We have no money and average home gates of about 3500. We are never going to attract a top class manager or top class players as w can't afford them. And why would we expect them to come to us?
So many fans have ridiculously high expectations and I don't understand why. It's not like we've fallen like Nottingham Forest for instance going from winning league titles and European cups to the lower divisions. Our biggest success has been in maintaining SPL/Premier League football for over 25 years. Look at our recent record - one top 3 finish inside what 14 years and one semi final in the last 5. It's 20 years since we were in the Scottish cup final which we won.
So who does anyone expect us to be Barcelona? There's a guy sits behind me in the stand and anytime a pass goes astray you'd think he was about to have a coronary. But he's not the only one. The constant stream of negativity towards our players is as tiresome as it is relentless. We criticise a manager before he's been appointed. We criticise him for not signing anyone. We criticise him when he signs someone. We write players off before they've even played for us.
Christ, is it any wonder we have a reputation in football for being the least supportive and hardest fans to please?
It's long overdue that a reality check was delivered and a large dose of sanity was administered.
Oh and the behaviour of some of the fans yesterday brought shame on us all.

Just hearing that there's been some bother outside the ground on the surrounding streets. Killie fans turned up to support Stranraer and battles have ensued. Police going to make arrests. Don't have full details but got a text from Mr David Snr who is at the game.

McCulloch can fuck right off. I was a big fan when he was here and followed his progress at Wigan but since to move to the dark side he has become a fucking animal who forgets where he came from. Some of his behaviour today was shocking, going down feigning injury when we were breaking forward, some of his tackles and general play acting left a very bad taste in the mouth. He better not show his face in Motherwell any time soon - fucking disgrace of a player.

It's all very well saying "nothing is impossible" and "records are there to be broken" but that just doesn't happen when it comes to Motherwell playing Rangers, especially in Glasgow. We haven't beaten them for eight years in all competitions and haven't won against them away from Fir Park for fourteen years and god knows when we last beat them in a cup game. That won't change on Sunday, Rangers will win one way or another and we'll be left to lick our wounds after either another demoralising hammering or kick ourselves after we failed to take advantage of them having an off day.
Some things just don't happen anymore and Motherwell beating Rangers is one of them.
I knew before even opening this thread that you would have posted in it. The only thing more annoying than your negativity and pessimism is the fucking predictability of it. I don't know why you even support Motherwell, when all the club and team have ever done is let you down on a regular basis. You really do my fucking tits in with the pish that you constantly come out with. You strike me as more of an Old Firm fan than a Motherwell fan - you want to take a long hard look at yourself, your bitterness and gloom and doom is way beyond tiresome.
I don't give a shit that we have a bad record against Rangers or that the odds are against us - that's been the case in the near 40 years that I have followed Motherwell. Does it get me down or make me negative or pessimistic - not at all - and I'm far from happy clappy believe me but there's a balance and it called ...........holding onto the dream - it can happen.....it does happen, not often but it does, and by christ when it does it's special - as mentioned earlier the 1991 replay against Celtic. 2-1 down and just about buried at half time.
While we're all still here we'll dream and we'll believe and if you don't get that then you can get to fuck.

As for the next bit, there is more chance of us discussing our shock at Rangers fans singing the soldiers song and being generally handsome chaps than us discussing a win over them.
