  1. Great performance. O'Brien and Murphy a real handful. Jennings outstanding. Agree about the crowd. Noticed Falkirk St Johnston managed about 1000 more than us. No easy answer and an issue for the whole league but we need to try and do something. Hearts did £10 to get in around Christmas for our game there. Maybe we need to look at that. It's a shame because we are doing well (for discussion on another thread perhaps). Well done Craig Brown!
  2. Most of it has already been said. Poor spectacle, poor pitch, good result. Also very poor Hamilton support. I know there aren't many anyway but surely a few hundred more could have made the 5 min trip up the road. Half decent turn out for us but doubt many of the occassional supports will rock back up after witnessing such a poor game. Thought Jennings and Coke were our best players. Jennings desrves a run in the team I think. Was really annoyed when we sat back after the goal and even started to try and time waste with 10/15 mins to go. It was asking for trouble and less than entertaining!
  3. Really disappointing! I said this at the weekend even after we won. I don't see the return of Lasley & Craigan to the first 11 as a positive move. I'm not blaming them for the defeat. I didn't see the game. It's just when I look at the line up I'm not filled with confidence. I had hoped for a few changes in Jan with a few heading out the door. Sadly I'm not so sure that's on the cards now. Same old same old. 4 -5 - 1 also seems a bit negative. Why didn't we stick to the same formation as Saturday? Just disappointed, especially when I think about the money a wee cup run would have brought in.
  4. Leeann Thank you for taking the leap and asking us directly for our input. It's the first time I personally have had an insight into the clubs vision and goals. What you have said resonates with me and I'm delighted we seem to have a clear direction. This type of direct communication alone is a positive step in my opinion. I think most fans are aware that managing the club is an extremely difficult job and decisions are made with a view to what is in the best interests of the club. When difficult decisions are made all that I want is an explanation of the reasons why the club acted in the way that it did and if relevant why on the face of it a more appealing option wasn't taken. The official website or online fans forums are the perfect media for this. Specifically in terms of an Advisory Committee again I think this is a positive suggestion. As I'm sure you know it would have to be managed properly and have the right people on it to be a success. Neither of these requiremenst are an easy ask. I'm keen to hear other views and feedback from you when you have had a chance to digest it all.
  5. Not having signed a contract is a red hearing. You don't need to sign a contract for it to be binding and having continued to work when presented with it he could well be deemed to have accepted it anyway (depends what he said in refusing). Both he and the club have a contract whether they like it or not. As I don't really know any details it's difficult to say much more. It could be that a tribunal will decide the details of the contract. At tribunal he really would only have the option for wrongful dismissal or breach of contract (costs would be minimal). If he takes civil proceedings it could be much more. That said there is suggestion in yesterdays Sun that he resigned first. What ever happened it's not just about an unsigned contract.
  6. Made me believe we were actually going to progress as a club - I'm gutted! If he was about to jump ship any minute though JB did the right thing Other positives All signings possibly other than Yassin were good Saw our poor players for what they are and wasn't scared to actively look at moving them on Showed great confidence in our youth players Was trying to get us playing good football Negatives Some strange rants re media and refs (his point was made he should have left it) I really hope Jb makes a similar appointment (forgetting about the commitment issue of course)
  7. Burma what did Gannon say at the Forum? Did he seem confident there would be changes in Jan? Didn't make the game yesterday due to a family do and am trying to remain positive. I wonder if he will be able to get shot of those he doesn't want. Who'll want to buy them?
  8. Jim - How do you see the squad developing under your management? Do you think we have a realistic chance of winning some domestic silerware if things go according to your plan? To all - Crowds seem to be falling in the SPL. What 3 things would you change to get people back through the gates? Why are these things not happening? Unfortunately, I'm in Newcastle on Thursday or would have loved to come along. Joined the Trust on the back of this event. Keep up the good work. For those of us who aren't there will there be a publication of the answers?
  9. I think he has got a lot of potential. Had a poor game today but is not a bomb scare. The whole team never got going in the second half.
