  1. I love how we've all turned into amatuer gardeners on here. Yes there is a difference to replacing turf and re-seeding but the end result is still the same - grass. The only issue I have with the replacing/re-seeding is that Boyle should live up to what he promised.

I very much doubt that an USH pipe burst. If I remember correct the club had to burst a layer of hardened clay which had been cooked by the USH heating and had moulded its way round the pipes. If there was a burst pipe then the pitch would be continually waterlogged with the USH bleeding water all the time. I think the issue is more along the lines that the USH isn't working to full capacity. By the time the club sorted it out last winter, we'd already experienced the worst of the winter weather. The club have promised to sort this issue out in the summer and the threat of future fines, not to mention the damage its done to our playing stlye has to be reason enough for them to finally act.

And I love how some fans try and spin the story for whatever reason, all it does it put more misinformation out there

Club officials admitted the USH pipes were burst during the verti-draining, remember we had another match off after that happened due to water rising back up.

The club also made promises on live national radio last year that they would have the best playing surface in the league this season,

Everything was to get ripped up and repaired correctly not just re-seeding, what did happen?

Some people at the club seem to want to continually pull the wool over fans eyes.

If the club had done what was required and there was a system breakdown, then it would have been an unfortunate incident.

As it was, it was blatent mismanagement for whatever the reason

and you know what nobody will ever answer for it as it's their baw'

the decision not to do the work is nearly as bad as giving Nevin a blank cheque book, look at what its costing us week in week out. Truly shocking

  2. Picked up tickets today and am looking forward to it

Scottish cup is special to many fans, particularly some 'Well fans

Still one of my regrets, not going up to Pittodrie for that tie in January 1991, seen every other game in that run and most of the Scottish cup games since.

£15 is still too expensive for a game of football especially a replay thats on the box

    BUT

If we beat the saints on their shiney new surface playing some nice stuff, and then win the battle with the mhankies, it starts getting very exciting and £15 will seem like a bargain.

I don't want to look back thinking 'Wish I had went to that game'

Mastercard don't do cup runs but if they did, it would be a Motherwell Scottish cup run just like 1991

  3. Wellfan1984 you seem to enjoy adding smoke to the screen by putting things out there instead of just discussing events.

    a) I've never heard/read anyone from our club discussing 5% charges aprt from 'yes we'll pay it'

b.)Motherwell never discussed reciprical pricing initiatives for Motherwell fans, they might have hoped for them but didn't make any deals, you and a few others keep going on about Celtic not reducing prices for us in return for us reducing them for them, WE NEVER DID REDUCE PRICES FOR THEM! only for Rangers and we have yet to play them in a return match so maybe they will reduce prices for us I wonder if anyone at the club has contacted them with a reminder that we gave their fans preferential treatment over all the other league clubs??

C.) The Motherwell fans you refer to that were unhappy with the price cuts , I would guess in large were not unhappy with 'price cuts' as you put it trying to spin that it was all about cheaper football. Most views that I have read and listened too, were unhappy that despite a supposed all signing all dancing pricing initiative, it was a cobbled together disaster of a plan, giving preferential pricing proposals to the Old Firm and completely overlooking much of the core Motherwell support!

Carry on with your continual petty digs at the 'Motherwell Faithful'

  4. Exactly. A point ignored by the press and somewhat surprisingly by our own fans. Given that we slashed prices for Celtic fans did they slash prices for us as a gesture of goodwill. Come on now I can't hear you!

    Charge them £26 I say.

I'll give you a reply Dave

WE HAVE NOT SLASHED PRICES FOR CELTIC FANS we only threatened to, we never actually followed through on the ludicrous deal, hence they are pissed off and all the other clubs fans are pissed off and just for good measure a number of our own fans are pissed off at the shambles, Hell the only ones that are lapping this up are the Rangers fans who did get in for £15

  5. Painful listening to the man in 'control' being such a Buffoon

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/tv_and_radio/7670512.stm Doesn't sound like Ian Stillie does it?://http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/sco...tillie does it?://http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/sco...tillie does it?

he publicly declared the £15 as being available to both sides of the old firm, and the cheap family deals to all the others.

Now remember 'Well fans are paying over the odds for this game as well

I'm dead against the preferential pricing for Old Firm but it concerns me more that due to incompetence our club once again looks 'amateurish'

  6. No read the whole thread, I think that the club did well by the fans who bought tickets for the original matches by offering them refunds due to the cancellations. (not required to do so)

I also think it is wrong to expect a refund for something that has already taken place and imho people had almost 5 days to return their tickets before the Monday night game if they were not going to it.

i also believe that the 2 or 3 people who contacted the club and were supplied the incorrect information should recieve a refund as they were the only ones wronged, others who choose not to make a return prior to the match or to travel on the day, made that choice or were affected by the weather (not MFC mistake)

You think its only a couple hundred quid I think its more like £1500-£3000

  7. Just a shame that all the rest who were told to come down on the Tues/Wed were then told to buggar off. Great positive press.....................

All the rest? whos that 2 or 3 people? or even as much as 5 or 6? who were actually mistakinglytold to come down :woop:

  8. Its not been binned but has it? just modifed on a game by game basis

Celtic fans are getting half price childrens tickets when bought with an adult

did the Falkirk, Killie et al get any deals??

EDIT: but remember and get your freebie tickets for Accies if you haven't used season ticket voucher
