yes forecasting is required but year on year the clubs board have failed to adapt to the situation as well as at least 4 or 5 of our direct rivals, to fail one year with the cup is fine, to fail what five years in arow with the same cup expectation budget forecast is borderline criminal. I still find it incredulous that the year we finished third then second we made a loss due to players bonuses being higher than expected.. but at the start of another 5year plan we go forward with a budget to make a loss, staggering. I'm also finished with the, line that our youth is not good enough, when we are paying! to bring in SPFL 2 level players and burning funds on them or 6th strikers and 4th goalkeepers. it might not be much money on each, but its cash...hard cash, the stuff that doesnt grow on trees. Lasley, Hammell, Faddy, Quinn, Clarkson would all have got the same line as not being ready from coaches like Craigan who are toeing the line and protecting themselves, unless the situation is forced by the board and the first team manager or the association everybody keeps going on about how things aren't as good as they used to be, look back at all the footballing greats or even the decent servants and look at the ages, they broke through to first team football. some of the lads getting first team are relative youths, there is absolutely no point in paying our lads wages if the club stick with this plan, Mcghee often pays lip service to giving youth a chance, he's very good at lip service....

I thought the first rule about a Motherwell cup run was that no one talks about a Motherwell cup run

he made the trip to Greece as well

McGhee, stated injuries forced him to go with two wingers. few queries from that: He woud have rather have had an extra player in the middle, than one on the wing he didnt see the other midfielders he had available. or he would rather ignore selecting any of our youth, than setup his preferable formation he changed his tune after a beating, instead of admitting he got it wrong

not enough people got to suffer the East Fife game. few players got anywhere near pass marks that evening, for effort, fitness or capability. Clarkson was far from the worst on any measure, and I'm not sure I'd label him absolutely done, but the hour he was given, showed that even against a lower league side, he isn't the weekly answer, much like Laing, Chalmers, Johnson* and Law that night, it was clear as day that they just aren't good enough for the level we are trying to play at. I understand the club is in a position, and the new manager has to review players, systems etc all over again, but give me players who are known to have a level of ability and importantly give 100% like Kennedy, Moult & Lasley (Hammell) and some with youthful potential, drive and togetherness like Leitch,Thomas, Watt and Cadden have shown. we've then got a few poor value players like Mcmanus, McDonald and Pearson, who can definitely return more than their average performance shows, for whatever reason the manager needs to figure out add them to these computerised trump card signings, to fill gaps and get game time to develop and show the drive to take more playing time. sure its simplified and injuries suspensions etc all throw challenges, but I'm tired of watching the same failed selections deliver the same failings, much like the admin' season, I'd much rather see a group fighting and growing than what we've had the last 18months

missing = just not selected? or not fit? or suspensions that arent apparent? on top of that, just where is Luke Watt these days , delivered good service over many of these choices as previous backup

Seems a decent presentation, which held my attention enough to stick with it and be interested to see the other half one thing that screamed out early on though, did you consider VAT on income for your figures, 20% is significant. EDIT:Ps and also seems something very much for the club board, as opposed to the society, although the second half may align that, but as DennyC says its good

Am I missing something here? it reads "say the club recently repaid £180,000 of this loan" was this said differently and hastily edited or have I just missed the society payment? how often have you said this? at 600 members? at 800 members , at 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600? has the steady growth never cast a doubt that you are wrong, as the ever growing members list would indicate that not everyone who wanted to and had the funds have joined, slower than would be liked yes, but not plateaued yet. See you keep coming and repeating this, sure its a forum, but to keep coming on and telling all over and over its doomed etc. just reads like you want it to fail, as you dont believe, I get that, you've told us often enough, but what I don't get is the need to strike a blow against it at every opportunity, let it run and see how it goes, maybe the progress will even convince you some day maybe there is hope, as amongst all the changes that have pissed many of us off, the original concept has never changed

Reports say it was an under 18's United team with 16yr old beckham as captain that won it v hearts -
It's like a subject no one really wants to talk about he's never reported as injured, well not for a long time.... on match day at Fir Park, his demeanour would appear that attendance is nothing more than a compulsory requirement. he'll skulk out of every game before full time, to then sit in his car at the traffic cordon on Fir Park street, desperate to get away from it all, as fans clear out the POD past him so no doubt back at Killie

extended highlights started on BBCAlba if anyone wants to see it or to record and analyse it even further

that'll do very nicely for the decent performance as much as the point sounded like its a toss up between the two keepers for MOTM at the game
-
Delighted the travelling fans have seen a decent performance so far and the rare treat of a goal

baws Rooney, after almost 40 minutes of control from us

was more enjoyable to watch that 'mince' than most of the seasons since Butcher than ran out of ideas and suitable players, probably stayed on one season too long, much like McCall

Under McGhee I'd normally say unlikely, and go 4-3-3, as he nearly always favours with the attempt to have the front 3 rotate, and use his much mocked but often successful triangles theory but his interviews mentioned matching opposition a few times this week. something else to wait and watch for I suppose
