  1. you do not have to pay an annual renewal, if you dont and have paid up a full membership, you are still a member with voting right. The society thanks you for your significant contribution to date and 'invites' you to consider setting up one or more options to contribute more if you are able to. the orignal annual renewal was paid to the club for the 'benefits' package from the club' given to the various members levels. at one of the society meetings it was recognised that this money was essentially lost to the society , so a vote was passed to seek a change in those terms, I dont recall the exact detail as higher level members required some benefits for their investment, but the outcome was that the annual renewal fees were to go to the society funds. around the same time, a move to monthly payments was proposed and eventually kicked in, it hadn't been enabled at the start, as there was advice given that, as an industrial provident society any regular payments could be seen as income (?), hopefully someone will clarify if I'm inaccurate , but it was certainly implied that the annual 'renewal' fee, any ad hoc donations or regular monthly payments by existing members now goes towards your own membership fund and will eventually move you up to the next level when your ongoing contributions achieve that target. so if you were an £300 Steel member and you contribute £5 pm then eventually you would have funded a Claret level membership .....and so on. But for me anything in the hope that the fund small or large has always been there to support the club when required, much like the modern day crowdfunder appeals, contribute what you can to make somethign happen, theoretically we hav eall bought into the need for club to exist, surprising so many who have the ability, downright oppose the idea, but that is their right to choose
  2. Oh for fuxache, the society do not run the club! Stop with that pish The society could own the club. The board and management run the club . Like millions of people all over the country who own shares in small and large, even global companies , but they don't run said company
  3. It's time for the club as a business to operate in a manner that the society is not required to contribute every year Budget needs amended as been near catastrophic last 5 years We don't have business income to support an xs of strikers or goalkeepers on normal footballing wages Our commercial dept have to stop pissing people off as every pound is needed Every supporter has to find a way to get friends family colleagues to spend even just a small amount on the club, be it a gift purchase , well lotto ticket, draw ticket function or event or just encouraging a friendly or opposition fan to attend a game And it would be nice if the mentality of some of our fans could change , and think on and refer to events in a neutral or even positive tone it's amazing how it could help matters I'm not saying don't question or challenge but instead of society payment into a black hole, acknowledge that payment is simply a contribution that is going to support the club to get back on a balanced keel and continue all the good things it does for us and the community Ps £60 a year to join the society , no one will convince me we do not have at least another 1200 supporters, fans or even just friends of the club who couldn't afford that, whatever the reasons, it's a choice many of the doubters now have to make, keep telling others it'll never work and be part of the reason it's struggling or put your nose back on your face and do your best to contribute what you can, but whatever at least if you insist on Refusing to sign up at least give the club a chance by setting up a standing order to play the well lotto monthly or getting that little extra into the club in a similar manner
  4. as a member why dont you ask, the organisation you're membership is for, any answer on here is hear say at best. but since its the internet. yes and no who do you mean 'WE' the football club took a loan, the payments are now deferred, details to follow
  5. Ross County Signed Jackson Irvine on 28th July cash on striker not at the club ? you mean Clarkson or Robinson ? if it was Clarkson, he signed in June we still had cash for lots of players and Robinson, if it was Robinson he never signed until nearer end of August
  6. No, we've got a full squad of back up players

is it not better Accies take the points over ICT? ICT have a game in hand over us and we play them so have input on their placing before split
  8. Marvin for me , plenty others had good games, Moults workrate is exemplary

Looking to go up the table, must hope for an ICT win Looking behind us down the table, prefer St Johnstone to take all the points. hedging bets, I'd be happy with the draw, but being honest a St johnstone win would feel more comfy than ICT taking the points and jumping us with a game in hand
  10. Looking like some very poor decision making up front , and some terrible decision making at back letting imrie in a few times, luckily he crapped himself ...so far

  13. bottom of this pagehttp://www.defunctspeedway.co.uk/Glasgow%20shawfield.htm , pretty sure thats Fir park, , theyre guessing 1998, maybe a different occasion, and prettty sure it wasnt a Rangers game but since the date 14th March 98 is mentioned , any excuse for this:
  14. a statistically realistic, almost optmistic points estmation from Milo? we are on target to hit about 39-40 points this season, based on results to date. add in more variables - like points vs likley opponents for the run in and it could look slightly worse, plenty of other routes it could take, but we need a fix and we need it pretty quick, a hell of a lot of posters (not yourself) who had been slating the doom mongers for reacting to 4 or 5 bad results (with some jaw dropping formations) were very quick to clamour over one very shakey victory as a measure of improvement, the reality seems to have been we got quite/very lucky at tannadice, with some grit from a few players , a touch of class to get us going and a serious slice of luck to keep us in it , which seemed to break them and open up space for skippy to make it look like a comfortable victory. there seems to some signs of improvement in very limited areas, the set pieces, seem to be delivering more frequently, fitness definately improved, but the reality of not having having/selecting enough decent players in a regular first team cannot be ignored. I'll not pretend to even like McGhee, his formation tinkering was maybe required to shake things up, but it has been an unmitigated disaster , that said he needs to re-focus on whats going wrong, and start winning back players support not enough quality in the squad to cope with his tactical changes week to week let alone during a game, he needs to get old skool and stop being so fanciful oh and a proper out ball for all off the 90 minutes might actually relieve the pressure on a pretty ropey defence
  15. Was looking at a few others big striker, Esteban something maybe Spanish, looked awesome on the YouTube clips
  16. So why are the players not up for it? You don't agree with formation and tactics Ainsworth was woeful when asked to play in middle of a missing midfield , who would even think that was an option let alone a manager that said last week he shouldn't ask players to do things beyond their capability Lasley missing I agree, he has flaws but we need his work rate, who was it choose not to play him? McGhee gets little support as he's an arrogant arse, who blows smoke over all his decisions that go wrong, yes the players are letting us down but that's fairly normal when they either don't believe in the manager, or are played in ludicrous positions or hav simply list self belief from getting hung out to dry I've no time for McGhee, giving him a long contract was crazy stuff, he thinks he's a something special as a manager when all the evidence suggests otherwise, a good coach who could hav sorted us to the summer with a strong board laying the groudrules, we're stuck with him and need him and the players to scrape together a few points to save us again Then he should go, along with a few others that have failed to even make us a stable mid table team Until then how about nice simple 4-4-2 with players knowing their jobs etc
  17. the clubs are listed on the official site in the fanzone section pretty sure EK is in South Lanarkshire, and operates limited buses, but then SL is pretty huge area
  18. Why the f*ck would they not come on here to discuss what they want?, the gent implied that they don't care about what 'you and other throbbers' think, plenty other forum members happy to accept their views as part of the commentary on all things Motherwell FC, just because you and a few others like to lambaste doesnt mean they are not welcome to raise any point as they see it.
  19. are you still saying he didn't need or didn't have a back operation?
  20. Faddy should 100% be that guy, for some reason since his return, he? or his coaches?, seem to think he should still be running the about the pitch like a player half his age. I so wish we had the coaching resource to make Faddy that guy, or maybe its a pyschologist who would be needed or maybes it just the players around him just are nowhere near the calibre of Boyd, Nijholt, O'Donnell, Griffin, Dolan, O'Neill, Angus, Ferguson, Kirk, Arnott, Mckinnon et al.
  21. and according to our general manager its 5pm tomorrow
  22. Kennedy didnt get dropped for a few mistakes
  23. I cannot see any rules against it so it could be moved to Celtics ground but would set a precedent for 'cashing in' on a cup draw, where any team could push for a ground move to split a bigger gate, its against the spirit? of the competition
