  1. It's all happening this week! time to try and raise funds to sponsor at least one player again, hopefully more if you are all on board. it'll be the 11th season of sponsored strips by the steelmenonline and its predecessor wtfc forums If you want to join in, just pledge an amount in this thread and I'll add it to the first post as we go I have pledged funds to sponsor Lionel Ainsworths clerical error means now we have new signings on behalf of contributors, so dependant on uptake we'll see who we can sponsor EDIT: so the club have offered us the Wes Fletcher and Louis Moults strips as options if we can raise the funds THE IDEA & COSTS The idea is that people contribute in multiples of £5 in order to get their name against a 'raffle ticket' for a draw. Each £5 contribution will get a name on a ticket & place in the draw The winners of the draw will receive the sponsors privileges ( sponsored top & opportunity to receive it at an end of season event) So, if you donate £5, you will get one chance at winning the strip/s, whereas a £20 donation will get you four chances and so on....... It's basically whatever you can afford, but £5 is the minimum pledge. not everyone can sponsor a player as an individual, but doing it like this we can help support club and every fiver contributed goes direct into the club in full and has a chance of winning a players strip It costs, up to £350 to sponsor players kit parts, couple of years back when the club were pushing steelmenforever we managed to reach £700 to sponsor two euro tops @£350 each which was pretty decent, last season we topped that with three strips sponsored and £865 into the club so hopefully as a group we can get some money together again and help out PAYMENT options: Send PayPal payment to: iainmande 'at' hotmail.com , PayPal takes a cut but if the contribution is marked as a GIFT payment or you select Pay a friend or Family and opt to cover the charge if you have any, then I should receive the full £5 increments and you as the sender covers the charge. EDIT: just noticed yabbas new improved site had protected the email address, ive amended post, hopefully people understand the at hotmail . com is all one string with an @ symbol EDIT again!: seems paypal have change sen gift to pay a friend or family, cheers RDuke for pointing this out Please remember to include your board name or contact details in the PayPal payment so I can mark it off, and also that it's for sponsorship and remember its a Pay a friend or gift payment message me with a PM or post here, if you require postal details to send a cheque or if you'd rather meet up and pay cash. 2015-2016 pledges (paid in bold) Andy_P £10 linsey12 £5 siebsbarmyarmy £20 Big Wispy Flossy £20 eddiemunster £10 Joe Wark Legend £10 coolhandluc £10 cambo97 £10 toxtethogrady £10 Kmcalpin £20 Delboy £20 andalg £10 purestate £10 GhostofSteveD £15 steelmen1991 £50 DennyC £20 Ecky £25 £275 contributed, £275 paid to club - Louis Moults away top target further £295 to pay for Wes Fletchers home top scoojy £10 Mad Dog Raoul_Duke £10 RossMFC1 £5 IanC £10 Weeyin £15 NottsMFC £20 Dezz £10 Yabbas turd £20 linsey12 £10 Daver £30 superward £20 delboy £10 Wee_kaz £10 Siebsbarmyarmy £10 Brazilian £125
  2. wow! Deleted image apologies to club for jumping gun
  3. I went for top ten (preferably comfortably) and two cup wins , and our success in the league, and European football guaranteed , never really turned into an attractive option for new signings, thats changed this year as well after a quite horrific season.......hope the factors that really influence these things also change the cup attitude
  4. Follow the link, or just read the thread..back http://www.steelmenonline.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=14942&p=444650 £5 a game, a tenner for both
  5. If Baraclough and Robinson can find what gets Ainsworth motivated, then this is a fantastic deal, hopefully he finds a couple off teamates he clicks with as well, nothing like fighting for your pals, he often looks isolated in training, warm ups, halftimes etc maybe that punch up lit a fire But Mo Johnston and even Larsson, Hartson,Nakamura,Thompson, Maloney, Sutton, Lambert, Thom, Collins never even got close to damaging them like : Erwin, McManus, Ainsworth, Johnson and Sutton did, and wee Lionel did it twice for good measure
  6. in jest I trust.... same as many were last summer , I'm happy at the signs of change this season
  7. do we not have a transfer rumours thread? would Scott Robertson be on the wishlist?
  8. yip, not reading the bullshit revisionist romantics take on events though 2 goals in 15 appearances this season for McCall 0 goals in 4 for Black (1 debateable for County game day IB arrived) 11 goals in 24 for BaraClough (better than career average?) and with more than 30 starts in 43 appearances this season he also appeared plenty of times, only behind I'd guess two? players I will genuinely miss having Sutton in the squad, its a huge ask to replace his contribution, but if the team wasn't working I was happy to see him appear against a tired opposition he was a well respected Motherwell player , who seemed an honest pro', like many before Sad to see him go, even more so to the opposition, but its happened before and will happen again, gives the moonunits something to whinge about when times are bad. Edit: and his last notable touch of the ball for Motherwell was to score the Sixth goal of an absolute hammering of the Govan mob in the play offs, Cheers, Big Handsome #9
  9. I was just about coming down from the high, pumped again, had never watched Bara's pre-match interview as was otherwise occupied, he called that one perfectly!
  10. without wanting to sound paranoid, there is no way we were getting credit in the media for winning those ties, every sngle one of them no matter personal morals or professionalism, are working for businesses that demand that the old firm are the story. even then , think about it, erwin pushed a player.... all hell in the media, Zaliukas elbowed a player in the face....nothing mentioned. the main thing is , every single Motherwell fan , knows we absolutely battered them on the pitch and you know what nearly every single football supporter knows it too, bet even Greig, Souness, Smith, Advocaat, Mcleish, Gough, Mccoist, McCall , McCulloch, and even that paid for mouthpiece johnstone will know it too, watch them weep
  11. We were rotten for most of the season a regular email would have seen the manager slaughtered, Ad-hoc works best , across good and bad Likewise for fun features, sadly the normal football punter can't cope in bad times Best value media team in the country, outstanding effort, and hours put in. But agree some occasional features would add to it as well

  14. Fine talk, and I doubt it will happen given tensions Still it's never stopped them doing it in the POD Or Even the South, on euro nights
  15. Aye?, and correct to be paranoid its a nasty world out there, what in your profeessional opinion is the advice to posting a clients details on the www? what to look for? in a legit email form the club or society? it total bawsup of an email, typical of people learning a trade, sadly that's where we are, as a club. and you are correct its not my decision to edit out any posts, thats why I said, hopefully, this , it's probably one fo the questions right after name, age, address, are communications from club employees always perfect? Dosser1886, dont send him all your details , please point out to the address how arse for elbow, the request is, in a modern era of fraudulent misuse of data. the paranoia for security is good, but for the clubs email server......
  16. It's not the best scripted email I have ever saw, But plastering it, and all the detail, all over a thread infested by knuckle draggers isn't the brightest either, admins can hopefully tidy up
  17. Club are working beyond their means to try and give us every opportunity. Only two ways I can think of supporting them beyond the usual is: back the society, and buy a few extra tickets for the Fir Park game, at only a fiver or tenner, I reckon I'll buy an extra for every one I am getting for our group. thousands of empty seats in the Cooper, if every group can get an extra couple, there will be plenty available to share with any fan wanting one, if anything, it'll mean i have line of sight, to, any of them, that manage to get in to our end, near me and the kids
  18. Twardzik strolled this one, a few others like Watt also stood out but had some minor errors, Dan done all the basics and was outstanding a couple of times
  19. Did they announce at halftime that all tickets are a fiver?
  20. One booking wouldnt have them suspended for play off games as points tally is accumulative and kicks in 14-16 days after threshold As it Is, some reports that Lasley is at Easter road?
  21. Just noticed this, will try and support tomorrow
  22. Hammell 65mins Francis Angol (came on for Hammell) Kerr Lasley Ramsden (unused sub, but was giving it large in press, run up to game) The angriest I have ever been at any Motherwell player, when Las' was apologising to McCulloch, for Jig destroying two of our players to get play stopped for his team mates, massive inferiority issues
