I'd go with that for now, until more comes out, if it ever does he's a good lad, who I felt could go on and play first team, easily for us, but I dont know just how good he really is or indeed his real potential,me being just a punter I asked him and he said he was offered a deal, from that point of view, the club done all they can regards gaining compensation etc. can argue long and hard about how good a deal etc, but with an excess of players in front of him for game time, it would be difficult for club to offer big stakes or indeed for the lad to choose to stay and be at least third in line for any likely place, when at a stage in his career where, its all about playing time. As for the club not commenting on him leaving, they have not on any player who moved on with an expired contract or were you commenting on compensation?, be hard if the lad hasnt signed for anyone yet or indeed retired as ESWB might be implying. If you know more, please fill in some blanks, for me it still looks like unfortunate timing for both parties, or if a little harshly put, a successful first team , which has led to limited spaces for lads breaking through, under budget restraints. EDIT: or what the fella above says, you're just leading us on

Do you know where he is going then? if you know there is no compensation

a seasoned traveller would have booked cheap to London and onto Iceland with the ugly twin or you not wanting to miss Brechin?
-
the Fair? maybe you're correct about trades that it was originated from, but nowadays it must be near the top of the busiest holiday weeks with the Scottish Schools being closed and a large majority of Scots taking advantage of cheaper fares to be returning home just as the English school system breaks up on the day of our game

Subtle bump just for info: was up at club on Friday and paid the balance for the first two sponsored strips in a change from the original request the group are now sponsoring Josh Law away and Lionel Ainsworth home the £570 to cover them has been paid and wee have over £100 towards a third strip and still some pledges to come in. strips cost £275-350 so if the chance of a cheap euro trip has freed a fiver up here or there feel free to join in.

Aye its not very easy to predict, by tomorrow lunchtime we should know a smaller group of potential oppoenents before the draw, but for now its the following any one of the winners of match involving could be changed for the unseeded team they face prior to our round.

and hopefully that will be the first game moved to a Sunday if we are in Europa 3rd Qualifying round, the second leg is on the Thursday 07th August

I believe he had an offer Must be a tough decision at his age, so many players chosen in front of him , all resigning and others signed up last year

appearance in the Celtis strip in the press aside, the lack of effort game in game out was what I remember could never work out why he kept getting picked

Thanks folks, funding is ticking along nicely I'm trying to keep the first post updated in real time, so if you send funds, it shows quite quickly on that post £400 already in the club Ive just had invoice for another £170 so will pay that asap and a good chunk towards a third strip already pledged

see the problem is its all valid, nobody is really right or wrong in much of the discussion I agree £20 is about the maximum it should be for run of the mill games, £23 for an SPL game is too much, I'm a mug though so if its a Saturday 3pm i'll go as i see that being worth the slight premium (kiding myself on, I know!) we charge all visitors a minimum £22 at Fir Park, we charge all adults at least £22 to walk into watch games from the Cooper when I view it from an irrational supporters view, the Europa games are special events I wouldn't be missing a cup semi final or final because it was >£25, same as I will not be missing a Europa game for that reason. if we had not been in europe for 13 years, Id reckon there would be less discussion on the price , and more on the potential opponents and our team. as it is, for me and a mate and two kids its £60, break it down how you like £20, £20, £10 & £10 or any other way and it looks ok. Edit: not to say I don't understand people, that query £25, if they don't go to many matches , for whatever reasons. But in reality for those that still go regular its only a quid or two on top of an SPFL game, too much? That's down to individual, I know I'd rather go to this one than any domestic game

I agree that two year deals are frustrating, but responded to that player being on a 3 year deal that could expire just when he proves himself its been explained quite a few times at events why the club cannot budget on three year deals at this level. one of the main reasons is no cash reserve, or millionaire to provide security imagine if all the senior players had been on 3 year deals when Rangers went bust. almost guaranteed it would have led to an insolvency event for us. as budgets couldnt have been cut enough
-
he is on a 3 year deal, it ends next summer, from whats in public domain
-
Erwin could score 30 this season and we'll get nothing for him. we do fine at developing players, dont have the funds for coaching to that next level so they move on the problem is we dont have funds to put them on deals that would allow us the sale prices we think they are worth

£22 any game in Cooper Increases to £25 for a Celtic game in majority of stadium £32 for adult and kid Cannot see why this euro game should be priced cheaper but the club have managed to get the kids in cheaper.
