m8?
Motherwell didn't accept after the recent league cup tie with Aberdeen (where damages far outweighed any alleged damages on Saturday) nor would I expect them to and Hamilton shouldn't laugh it off either. That wasn't the point though and fine well you know it.
I don't recall the Daily Retard brandishing that report all over their back pages, Sellik won as expected The Rangers got by with a little help from thier friends, all very predictable, so they needed something to fill the back pages

Can we not just agree to give them 3 points and award a 3-0 win and save some money by not playing it?
-
Rollercoaster patter is awful.
4-0 Celtic. A slight improvement on yesterday but still absolutely toothless in attack.
Even as a season ticket holder, I'm seriously considering giving this a miss. Freezing cold Friday night watching us getting humped. Think I'll stay in and watch I'm a celebrity.
3nil Celtic.
Agree about the Rollercoaster patter.
As a fellow Season ticket holder it's a toughy finish work get takeaway and a few beers and maybe watch it on telly or watch something else instead or go and watch the Green and Grey Hoops prove to be like Kryptonite to our players once again.
We will get utterly humped because even if we do decide to defend like Aberdeen and Albion Rovers against us they will find a way to score, it's what you do if you're a good team playing a weaker side

yesterday was ideal to give moore another start and to introduce erwin at some stage of the game so for neither to be involved and now both are playing for the under 20s today is baffling
From start to finish yesterday from Team Selection to performance on the pitch was all Billy Big Baws attitude from the club
Many of the posters on here were guilty of same pre match with prediftions of 4 and 5 goal hammerings etc.

It's a sad day when you are hoping the centre back will keep on going forward and have a crack at goal himself.
I was in Spice of Life Stand and I could have been at Wimbledon as my head was flicking from left to right most of the game ( except when Rovers attacked ). I remember games where we would break away and attack the opposition goal (long memory ) . Today we break away , stop, go sideways or back and allow the opposition defence time to get themselves organised and then eventually lose the ball through bad passing or trying the hopeful cross into the box which could have been done 6 passes earlier !
Anyhoo , I feel we also lack LEADERSHIP on the pitch , someone to boot the occasional backside and get that spirit going ( " it's a cup tie ffs").
Everything seems so 'safe' nowadays , the sideways / back pass , stick to the plan and when you have no options left the big punt forward .
I can't pick out any player to blame for yesterday as it is a collective embarrassment but I hope each has a good look at themselves and asks ' did I give it my all?'
Being the 'well we'll probably give the Cellic a roastin on Friday. been here so many times
This.
Ask yourself would Crags have left any one of those players with a head on their shoulders yesterday?
Much as I rate Keith Lasley as a player I have said in numerous occasions he isn't strong enough to be captain when things are going tits up

I think if fit then Hammell and Ramsden will be back similarly Hollis, McFadden is a gamble against lower league players he will either shine and hopefully kick on from that or have a poor game/pick up an injury.
I think we should start with a full first team and try to kill the tie off by HT then ring the changes.
It is a potential banana skin of a tie and we've all seen what happens when we rest key players for games.
Under McCall(Ibrox shambles aside) we've played 6 lower league teams in the cup. We've won 6, scored 22 in the process and only conceded 1.
This is a part time team who sit 3rd bottom of third division or whatever it's called these days. We won't need a full strength side. It would be madness to do so in my opinion given we play the best team in the country just six days later and will need to be at our very best to avoid a pumping.
Motherwell
12 Hollis
15 Hutchinson
20 Page
23 Halsman
04 Law (Humphrey - 57' )
06 Hateley
14 Lasley (Carswell - 57' )
09 Higdon (Smith - 57' )
16 McHugh
18 Forbes
25 Lawless
That Mothewell team went and pumped Third division Clyde away from home 0-4 without getting out of 2nd gear. Only 5 of our regular first team started, the rest were fringe players and youngsters. We'd released 4 of the players that started that night within the next year for being deemed not good enough.
I know some Motherwell fans worry about these things but there's a massive difference between top flight football and the third division. McCall doesn't take these games lightly but usually strikes the right balance in terms of selection and I imagine he will do so again.
Nielsen
Kerr
Hutchinson©
Cummins
ZFA
Ainsworth
Carswell
Lawson
Vigurs
Moore
Anier
Rest McManus, Hammell, Sutton, Lasley. Also I wouldn't risk Faddy on a plastic pitch.
IMHO that team would win comfortably.
So still think it was madness?

Or Tap Room or Bar West (Tassie) at Peacock Cross - probably not much in it.
Or Electric bar and train from Airbles
-
I'd be tempted to leave a few guys out for this tie, as we should have more than enough to progress comfortably. On a pristine surface we should have the pace and ability to open them up.
My team would be:
Nielsen
KerrHutchinsonCumminsFrancis-Angol
McFaddenLawsonCarswellVigurs
MooreAnier
At least 3-0 with that team.
I think if fit then Hammell and Ramsden will be back similarly Hollis, McFadden is a gamble against lower league players he will either shine and hopefully kick on from that or have a poor game/pick up an injury.

Couple of Greenies for you there Andy but you want to be careful, that's dangerously close to common sense type posting.
Not sure this is the place for such positivity.

Wasn't at the game, went to Murrayfield instead! Delighted with the win and the clean sheet, here's hoping it kicks us off on a wee run.
Putting the Egg chasing ahead of the 'Well, becoming quite a habit young sir.
Rugby is played by men with odd shaped balls!

For overall performance and sheer Tenacity my vote's for Craig Moore, he must surely be in contention for a start next weekend again!

I don't think it was expansion, it was mixing things up to see if it had a positive result.
While there is an argument for if it ain't broken, if our ancestors felt the same we'd still be living in mud huts, chasing our dinner with spears.
Does that not still happen in certain areas?

When Fir Park Corner sponsored the Killie game a couple of months back, we were absolutely blootered and chose MOTM based on who we thought was most likely to come out and have a swally with us!
Aye but you got away with it that day and picked big Hutchy who had a cracking game.
I do agree you were all blootered right enough
-
Is Lee Hollis back from injury for this one?
-
The MOTM and YMOTM are picked by folk and friends of folk who work with sponsors who are at the game for their dinner and a glass of wine. We're hardly disagreeing with the wisdom of Alan Hansen
I thought they had picked the award without leaving the bar, mostly laughter and puzzlement from around me when it was announced and more than a couple of Whit the Fs
Not much reaction to the 4th goal possibly because most people were away by then,I was pretty numb by then and just wanted to go back to the pub
-
2 things that strike me watching that
- state of that pitch feckin tatty field
- even back then they were diving and looking for a penalty
Genius wee turn from Pettigrew "Turned on a sixpence" for the 3rd goal

After Wednesday night I was glad I'm working on Sunday and not able to go, but now I want to go and I'm pissed off that I'm working.
Damn you Motherwell FC

Hutch for me

Mega Bus goes to Perth from Buchanan Street Bus Station

No going to see the game as I am off to wembley for the nfl. I am hoping it is on the radio so I can try to find a app that has radio Scotland on it. We are going to win this 2-0 with Sutton scoring both
Try Tune In Radio App pretty sire it does Radio Scotland

Neilsen starting today Hollis picked up an ankle knock in training.
So glad I put that clause into my bet with Bop

Maybe some of the clever techy people could look into the possibility of moving it on line?

I know a Saudi Prince, he is a partner in a Joint Venture we're putting together there. I'll ask him if he's familiar with the mighty 'Well and if he would consider investing.
There's £50m in an African government account we can use but I'd need to transfer it to someone.
Just need your name address D.O.B. Sort Code Account Number Debit Card number (including security code) oh and your online banking password would be great too

Same Shite Different Day.
" but we know we have not become a bad team because of one howler."
Sounds familiar!
How many times have we heard this after they fucked up, can't recall too many times where they have subsequently shown
"a bit of character and backbone and provide a response for the fans."
"Right now everyone associated with Motherwell is hurting, and we need to stick together"
Is this in response to the "you're not fit to wear the shirt" chants.
Not expecting to see many (if any) players at the Race night on Saturday
