  1. Well played for letting us know early. Saves a few fans (Gaag and myself included!) from a wasted journey tonight.
  2. Got a ticket for this with a few of us originally planning to make the trip up, however I really don't see how it can be on. If by some miracle it is, I really hope we give them a doing up there. However, being the charity case that we are, I am fearful a week with Knox will be enough for Aberdeen to get their finger out. I'm not really expecting a dramatic improvement from what was served up on Tuesday, so going to go with a 1-1 draw.
  3. Having major problems with the 'fishal site and looking to know how much a half season in the East stand is going to set me back. It's for my mum who is disabled, and currently gets in for a concession I believe, so if anyone has bought a concession half ticket or if Flow could help me out that would be grand. Scott
  4. Can remember McCoist's goal from that game, but couldn't have told you the final result!
  5. Was looking forward to it but now that McGhee has gone and it is the week before Christmas, probably going to give this one a miss I think.
  6. This is a fantastic opportunity for Motherwell to put some light between themselves and the followers. Throwing in matches against Hearts and Kilmarnock (the other two form teams in the league) we have a real opportunity to go clear in third by some way. However, it's easier said than done and wouldn't be the first time we have fallen at the feet of a great opportunity.
  7. What's the cheapest way to get there by train? I remember in the past a few guys on here managing to get good deals for going up.

    Aberdeen

Plumped for Reynolds, as he seemed to do a good job of mopping up at the back.
  9. Just in from the game, frustrating seems to be the word best describing this game and this season. Most of possession throughout the match, however never really looked like doing anything with it. Our midfield yet again showed it has little to no imagination, and constantly requires one of the strikers to drop deep in order to create a bit of movement. It's frustrating because when we're good, we're really good. Lasley showed a couple of brief glimpses where he was available for a quick 1-2, but apart from that little to show from a game that we really should have won. The team reminded of the first season under McGhee, where our players look terrified to hit a shot from outside the box (apart from Saunders' wild effort towards the end of the match). Chris Humphrey needs to learn to cross a ball - quickly. What do we do with him in training all week? Aberdeen, well they are no great shakes, and I'm sure Mark McGhee knows that. They have little going forward and without Hartley's drive they are pretty awful. He may be a greasy bastard, but he is good at what he does and seems to get away with murder. As for the ref, the least said about this trumpet the better. Same goes for the East Stand linesman. Still undefeated against Mark McGhee, which is never a bad thing. Onwards and upwards.

    Russell Rodger

Was very sad to hear about this. I first met result when I was about 15, and he gave me the opportunity to get involved in the club. If it wasn't for his input and influence I don't know if I would be where I am today. Can only echo what has been said already, absolute gentleman.
  11. The problem is definitely the midfield. Barring the 'hoof it up to Sutton' technique, the only other options we have is give it Humphrey to try and knock the ball beyond a defender (without booting it clean out the park) get to the byline and deliver a cross that lands somewhere in the penalty box. That doesn't happen half as much as it should. The other is to give the ball to Jamie Murphy who will have to drop practically back to the half way line to collect it, and be expected to run through a wall of players. We need players like Hammell to get beyond the midfield to give ourself any chance of getting bodies forward.
  12. Was considering it, but it appeared on the website after I'd already got my ticket for the east stand.
  13. "lots of seats" is a bit off the mark. I checked the seating plan last night and there wasn't that many left. Same goes for the middle three sections of the east stand, 100 seats left if you are lucky. The Phil O'Donnell stand looked jam packed, obviously taking into account that the full stand isn't open. Much has been said about the price change and whether you agree with it or not, I think it's a fair bet that it will have an impact on the attendance. In the grand scheme of things, £20 for such an important and unique game isn't bad at all, however I do get why some people have raised a few concerns over the latest ticketing decision. The only saving grace is that it is getting hee haw telly coverage, so hopefully a few floaters will be forced to get off their erse and come along. I think you will be looking at much the same attendance as the last match, but let's not lose sight of the fact it's what goes on on the pitch that counts not off it.
  14. Who actually said it?

    Season Tickets

I went and picked mine up last week mate. Just give them a ring and ask if it is ready.
  16. Surprised at this move, would have thought this would have impacted on sponsorship money and how much the club receives. Still, will be getting one! Can't imagine there will be a huge crowd gathering to voluntarily get a sponsor stuck on it
  17. il offer 50 and an irn bru bottle

    South Stand

On the south stand seating plan it is saying some seats are available and some are taken????
  19. Great article. Just need a new 30,000 seater stadium and we are good to go.
  20. I think the two key signings will be Jim O'Brien and Tom Hately. The Duke will be a big miss as will Ruddy, but I think we play much better with these two on the park .
  21. Nice peace on the big man. Not a lot about his time at Motherwell, though. Will never forget his free-kick thunderbolt against Dunfermline.
