  1. A bit off topic but read that Nairn County had signed ex Well player Halsman ( Gannon gave him debut v Celtic away) Thought his name was Jordan but record said Bradley :s
  2. Kenny Black and big Marsh !
  3. Hope the news adds a few more to the attendance on Sat. I was in two minds whether to go due to cost, but even if Ojaama doesn't get clearance to play , I'm defo going now as I think it has given everyone a lift
  4. Exactly. We've been far more successful than Utd in recent seasons, yet crowds have been disappointing . I suppose a few exciting young players helps explain it in part, but don't know what else we can do
  5. Attendance over 8000. That's almost double what we would get for such a game midweek. Might explain why Utd can afford to get a better standard of player in than ourselves
  6. Glad to see Ainsworth dropped. Can't afford to carry any passengers
  7. Jesus, if I had been a really heavy gambler would have lost my house, car and everything I own on Sevco v Well and Poznan v Stjarnan !
  8. Not so sure. Remember they lost 1-0 1st leg to Estonian team and turned it round. Although if Stjarnan score.......
  9. Ooft that's a sore one. Had a measly fiver with Poznan in a 4-fold ....only one to lose : -(
  10. I dont see what all this amateurish talk is about. How can we make a contingency plan for being papped out of Europe...'well we might be able to play you on sat 3/8 but cant say until the week before!'
  11. Just this from the official................ A downbeat McCall said: “This isn’t the time for lambasting people. To have been 2-0 up at Fir Park, then 1-0 and 2-1 up here in Iceland should have been enough.“But we haven’t been strong enough to keep the lead. We had chances to kill them off but didn’t take them. “Instead, we were soft right through and let them back into it. “The second equaliser was the sore one – we should’ve been stronger defensively at that one.” Would be good to hear from some of the fans who made the trip too
  12. Someone posted that the Electric was hoping to show it
  13. FFS really didnt consider it. Would be difficult enough to get 2 days off in a fortnight's time, never mind a week. Of course, might not come to that
  14. Really? I must be stupid, but what effect does Commonwealth games have on our home tie....security/police issues / travel??
  15. Eh? I thought that since Well/Stjarnan were drawn first, the first leg would automatically be at home?!
  16. They showed the Well v Pana away game last time. PS if we go through, how quickly would you need to book for next tie? Obv as quick as poss, but will prices start to rise within a day or two?
  17. So the draw for the next round is this Friday. is it likely to be another long drawn out affair as normal for UEFA? Any idea what time we are likely to know potential opponents? Ah, draw is noon our time. Probably find out about 3pm!
  18. You coming up Julian, or saving your dosh for Iceland?
  19. if we sign a striker before 1st leg, are they eligible to play? Re Stjarnan, think I'm right in saying they were the unseeeded team v Bangor - how the hell can the seedings be correct when the seed loses 8-0 on agg ??
  20. Not noticed any difference myself.
  21. Ah the half and half Orient/Well hat Julian. Remember seeing someone with that at a hearts away midweek game and thinking he was nuts. Then met you in Bucharest and introduced yourself as a Leyton Orient fan - the hat was the first thing that came to mind, had to be the same person........and was!
  22. Quite happy with our fitness and sharpness. Howvever, a major concern must be the lack of a recognised strike-force. McHugh failed to impress and what's the script with Josh law....wasn't sure if he was supposed to be playing up front with Sutty 2nd half ? Certainly came back into midfield to get ball far too often and defo not a natural forward .
  23. Agree. But to say we need to be defensive as he's suggesting is ridiculous
  24. I read in today's record Mccall saying we cant go gun-ho at home and may play it like the last game of season v sheep! FFS i hope he's playing mind games; we should be certainly be on the front foot and trying to score a few goals for a decent lead int o away leg
