  1. I never look too far ahead. Whether it's a first tie v Aberdeen away or Queens Park at home, you can never tell with Motherwell.
  2. Naw I was myself lurking about where the pool table is. The owner had to put the game on throught the back as the regulars were in for the racing !

    Inverness

Nicky Law's passing and awareness were different class. Could have scored a few times himself but had the composure to pick out a Well player and was still in scoring positions after 90 mins. I'm voting Law, but everyone played their part in a great result.
  4. Neither Alans bar or Machan showing game. Ended up in Central bar in time to see opener. Where are yeez all..........Inverness ?!
  5. To be fair, I think tommycoyne's comments are born of frustration at trying to get a group together, only to be let down by most of those who showed an interest.
  6. Just what I was thinking. Didn't even book him for that early tackle did he?
  7. Motherwell 2 Rangers 3, Scottish Cup semi-final 1975. Two nil up at half-time through McLaren and Pettigrew at Hampden and to lose to Rangers still haunts me nearly 40 years later
  8. I'm not going anywhere near a bookies for a month after last night's debacle. Was nearly as confident as that Sellick guy that put 9 grand on them to beat St J. Also had your confidence at lording it around Larky teasing the bluenoses - need to face the music now
  9. So have I but this is a different scenario. Yes we are the big team but this is a chance to beat Rangers in any shape or form and put years of suffering to end. We have competed well in europe and sit top of the spl so no reason to fear
  10. We should be abe to beat that lot with any of our first team squad. But agreed bring Ramsden back if fit . bring on daley for last 10 mins to take the piss
  11. With the man u game being on at the same time, is there any chance of a pub in hamilton showing the well game. Or just electric and JDs do you think ?
  12. Haha I live in Larky and didn't know there was a 'Well pub! Rarely drink in Larkhall and only been in the Tavern and Curly's I don't go to enough away games to make it a goer for me, but best of luck. There are way more than 60 well fans in Larky, around half a dozen in my street that I know of!
  13. I think you're changing your mind over this one Finlay.
  14. Claretwelly, link to supporters asoc. buses http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/fanzone/supporters-clubs/
  15. Bobby Jenks told Jaffa that Faddy wasnae signing ( on the Ryanair flight back from Alicante! ). Think Bobby must have spent the week out there after spying on Levante.........either that or we're skint
  16. Must admit, I liked Andy Gray's commentary back then. And McCoist's co-commentary on the cup final was good too - he was that excited it was like one of us commentating ( almost!) .......in fact, didn't he coin the phrase '' as brave as a lion'' when Phil headed his goal?
  17. I take it you've tried alanmfc's bus - see thread on this site. If not, contact the supporters associations; think they are pinned here.
  18. ''There he is in splendid isolation''. Used on several occasions by Jock Brown as Joe Carson for one was left unmarked to score with a header.
  19. Main memory of Brian Wright was scoring a pen V Celtic at Hampden (same game that Softy hit the bar) and giving it ' the Higdon' to the smellic fans.
  20. '' You won't see many free kicks hit much harder than that'' Andy Gray (Iain Ferguson for Well v celtic semi 91). Poor grammar, but all the better for it!
  21. Always had a soft spot for Johnny Gahagan, since watching a compilation of Well games showed him jumping up and down celebrating another goal.........usually behind the goals as a sub! Always stuck in my mind as it showed how much it meant to him even when he wasn't playing.
  22. Motherwell, everyone's 2nd favourite team! Aye for a day, then they'll hate us again
