This is what Im struggling with. Why are we sitting with a negative position (to all intents and purposes)? I can only come up with: Misc overheads - the pitch upgrade was a while ago though - not aware of other large remedial work etc? Player salaries - Finishing 2nd is, at the end of the day, negated, if we are spending over the odds finishing there in the first place, then not taking advantage of it (progressing in Europe/cups and banking cash). Seems to have been a very short-term view of things being taken. The Well Society, for all its merits, was never really a viable long-term option in terms of running the club. We simply dont have the fanbase to support it ad-infinitum. I thought it was about having cash reserves to be called on, if need be, in the future (over and above the day-to-day balance sheet management), which is a non-starter if we were in a loss-making position at the outset. Was the Well Society actually just about funding a short-term working capital gap?

How much have we been paying out in wages if we have had: SC Final + 3rd 2nd 2nd Plus the odd European game Plus (small) tranfer fees (Ojamaa, Anier, Murphy) But still facing a 1m accumulated shortfall? And thats after successive budget cuts? Am I missing something?

Yep, second to every ball and kept backing off. Complete lack of urgency. Should have been closing down, pressing and taking the game by the scruff of the neck. A 3rd goal (3-1 win) would have likely seen us through, but we were far too tame.

I think there is a ruling where the SFA could put them forward as an exception due to sprting merit. Thats not to say UEFA would agree though.

Tried to post earlier but battery ran out. I got in just before ko, so may well have been till roll spindles which Thomson removed, although there was def smoke bomb beyond the ad boards, albeit not on pitch. That said, the stewarding/policing was stil waaay over the top. Expect them do deploy the same tactics with the Celtic fans... oh, wait.

Chick Young was presumably in another stand. I was behind it all. I couldnt see them doing anything wrong, smoke bombs aside. Unless singing/dancing is now outlawed. As usual, all that was achieved by the policing/stewarding was to aggrevate things. They are young lads in their teens ffs.

A few smoke bombs. Some got thrown around corner flag before the game. At a corner Craig Thomson threw the then burnt out smoke bombs to side of pitch. A couple of guys launched out but hardly clashes.

He caught my eye for actually retaining possession and finding a man the vast majority of the time. As you say, just polar opinions, which is fair enough.
