  1. Why? Fail to see how a player who has done the square root of hee haw this season is suddenly the lynch pin we need to win this game.
  2. Seeing the team line up then seeing we scored no goals doesn't come as a shocker. I don't go for this one eye on Wednesday stuff as there is a very real chance we will lose on Wednesday then not only will the sheep have papped us out the cup but are above us in the league too. IF we lose on Wednesday i would much rather at least have the consolation that we were above them in the league and for that reason alone we should have been playing our full strength team today.
  3. A quick look at their forum sees all their fans are expecting them to win this one. Have we really been that bad that a shitty St Johnstone team think they should be beating us easily? Anyway hope it comes back to bite them on the arse.
  4. I've seen many a shitey Hearts team pump us over the years so while i would love to see us rip them a new one i'd settle for a 1-0 squeaky bum win.
  5. Do we have Ramsden available & do they have Gunning available? A tough game this one but definitely winnable. Ever since the season started folk have had McFadden down as scoring at least one & so far he's not even looked likely. Will this be the week?
  6. Whether it was thrown or not is irrelevant. As already stated the offence was committed as soon as they entered the ground with it no matter if their intention was to throw it, set it off or keep it in their pocket to keep their baws warm. Plenty people have complained that the police don't take action against OF supporters for sectarian chants but are quite happy to have the police turn a blind eye to Motherwell fans offences.Yes they should take action against OF supporters but two wrongs don't make a right. The simple fact is the law was broken and the police acted as they are supposed to. Where they heavy handed? I don't know i wasn't there but no smoke bomb means no police action simple as that. You can't knowingly break the law then complain about the actions of police. Go to the game have fun, support the team and entertain the rest of the supporters with your fantastic routines but no need to attract the attention of the police by bringing banned items to the games.
  7. When i started going to games here i was amazed you could get beer at anytime not just half time etc. When someone's down injured doing ten forward rolls you could nip to the booths & get a beer. But pretty soon the novelty wears off and you can no longer justify paying the inflated prices for a beer in a plastic cup. Football's expensive enough without paying a fortune for a drink.
  8. All joking aside McManus probably is their biggest goal threat as they are absolutely gash. If we approach this in the right manner it should be a comfortable win but if they like their manager they will be fighting tooth and nail to stop him from getting sacked so could up their game.
  9. Erm.... no it's called having a beach outside your door and having better things to do. The day i start to care what internet users think of me is the day i start to worry. And if you can read then how come you read my post then come up with a complete fabrication of what i said? No doubt you would advocate the signing of Jennings so he can sit on the bench with Lawson as we are apparently so rich we can buy players for the bench just in case someone gets injured or suspended. IMO the money would have been much better spent on a wide player who could add pace to the team which at the time we were crying out for and although Lawson wasn't bought for the bench McCall must've known we already had a cracking player in that position who was as good if not better than Lawson and cover for there was not a priority.
  10. Where do i say we should play the highest earners? Read the post properly tosser! And yes buying someone to sit on the bench is a waste of a wage when we have young players who could easily do that and not cost the club unnecessary funds. Or do you think if it's between a young boy costing 1k to sit on the bench or getting someone in on 3k to sit on the bench then the 3k is well spent? As i said if you can read he may be a long term replacement for Lasley but right now he is being paid to warm the bench & when he does get on he has 'supporters' telling him he's shite. Whether he's good bad or indifferent he was signed to play in a position that we already have covered which has seen him relegated to the bench and the money could have been better spent elsewhere.
  11. With Carswell coming in & doing so well it appears there is no place in the team for Lawson. Does that make Lawson McCall's one bad summer signing? He must be on a fairly decent wage (not great) to make the switch to us & he's just sitting on the bench. Long term replacement for Lasley maybe but certainly at the moment a bit of a waste of a wage. Any thoughts on were he could fit into the team or is the bench the most he can hope for just now?
  12. Just reading the Thistle forum and the main theme seems to be they should of had something for their 2nd half performance when they made masterful substitutions that changed the game. No mention of our best midfielder going off having any effect on that. Also spotted these classic quotes: Thought we had stage fright the first half. Archie obviously told them at half time to stop thinking there are better than us and we took control of the second. Still snatching at shots so looks like nerves but thought higgy looked very sharp and needs to start against Cowdenbeath to get a goal. Osborne got stuck in but my man of the match was craigan who ran the midfield second half and did a power of work. Sinky was causing loads of problems as well didn't seem to play a right back and with some luck we could have scored. All the subs did well once they came on and should get a start on Tuesday. Muirhead had a stinker as did Fraser but at least we gave the fans something to shout about late in the game. Ps the motherwell young team are an embarrassment. The wankiest bunch of fans Ive ever seen.God knows what the other Motherwell fans who sit next to that feckin drum think. Also liked the Motherwell Young Team. Supporting their local club with some noise and colour. I thought they looked like idiots, always been a bit of a ned fest at that part of the ground
  13. For me it doesn't matter how good Sheridan is if he can't play on the wing & bring much needed pace to the team then he's not going to help with the basic problem we have of no out ball. McGeouch would be the better bet as he is a natural winger with pace & skill. However as he is a Celtic player i realise that makes him a target for certain boo boys before he even kicks a ball.
  14. Folk settling for a point at home against Partick Thistle. Oh my changed days indeed. When the fixtures are first announced this is one of the games you count on getting 3 points from to have any chance of top 6 & really if we can't beat Partick Thistle at home then top 6 might just not be on this year. IMO if we play like we have been we will get beat & well beaten at that but if we get the finger out & play like we are interested then we will win this game.
  15. First time in ages we haven't raided the English lower leagues for players & the first time in ages we've been honking. Spooky
  16. Anyone having doubts about the penalty decision just take a look at the defenders reaction after the incident. He's just lying there saying oh fuk i just let them back in it. You can always tell from a defenders reaction if he's caught the player or not & if he didn't catch him he would be up calling him a diving b & not just lying there knowing he's made a howler.
  17. Getting a bit fed up with the amount of times we hear Faddy isn't fit. About time the question was asked why he isn't fit. He's had the same pre season and game time as everyone else so why are they fit & he's not? If it was any other player they would've been dropped by now but Faddy seems untouchable and it's not helping the team at all. As for the notion of you can't drop him as he is the only player we have who could pull something out the hat well so far in all the games he's played he has done the square root of hee haw and all that's happening is his confidence will be getting lower & lower as his frustration rises. If Faddy isn't fit he should be dropped pure & simple & who knows maybe it will improve the team & then when's he fit he will come back as the player we know he can be.
  18. Where is all this we will have a good cup run this year coming from? All it needs is to be draw away to Celtic & thats your cup run fucked. In fact drawn away to any of the top half of the league teams & you're struggling. Cup runs come down to luck of the draw & in recent years we have had no luck at all so not sure why so many people think this is our year to do well in the cups.
  19. In both league games we have been poor. Luckily Hibs are so bad we got away with that performance but against a better Aberdeen team we were found out. I have no doubts we will come good but it will take time & some pace being injected into the team. In the meantime however we will continue to get some up and down results with some howling performances so if you are unwilling to accept this then i suggest you take a break & watch cricket or something then come back around October when we should be playing good stuff again. No need to hear the same moans over & over again every time we don't scud someone 9-0.
  20. Whatever the final outcome is i really hope Sutton scores to get him off and running.
  21. Heard Sevco fans saying if Sally goes they want Butcher while keeping an eye on how David Weir does at Sheffield Utd. Deluded c*nts
  22. Our best starting XI struggled badly to beat a pish poor Hibs team & you think they are going to go to Russia & fire 3 past a team that hasn't lost since November. Aye right the tie is very much alive. Go to Greece if we get an early goal you never know. Result = pumped Go to Spain if we get an early goal you never know. Result = pumped Go to Russia if we get an early goal you never know. Result = seeing any kind of pattern here? Leave the older players behind & send the younger ones. Leave Faddy, Sutton, McManus, Lasley, Hammel, Ramsden and send over a mixture of first team & reserves all younger boys who will gain invaluable experience & have enough energy buzzing about to put up a good fight.
  23. That's got fuk all to do with it it's the travelling to & from Russia that stuffs the body up & arriving home Friday night with a game on Sunday is far from ideal. Anyway when we do our usual & get beat 3-0 (5-0agg) & Faddy picks up an injury that rules him out for 6 months then these people shouting for the full first team will be the first to say 'Why the hell did he send Faddy to Russia for a game that was already lost'
  24. Maybe the bois should make a song for Hollis that would surely lift his confidence levels. Must be pretty dispiriting running out to play knowing a section of the support don't want you there. Apologies if the bois have already made a song for him.
  25. Expect a few more frustrating games this season as teams 'park the bus' against us. We have been best of the rest for the last 2 seasons so most teams are happy with a point from us. We are a big team now
