Think we deperately need another striker, loanee or otherwise, and regardless of whether Murphy & Higdon form a decent partnership. 3 left at the end of last season (if you include Casagolda as a "footballer") and we have signed one.

Early lead, probably through Murphy or Humphrey then we will pump them for the remainder of the first half without scoring again. They will equalise towards the end of a dire second half. Probably from a corner. And probably Tokely. 1-1.

Exactly. Solicitors acting on behalf of the club will seek to have the case dismissed on the technical grounds cited. Will (and should) hopefully work if indeed the claim has been intimated out of time. If that fails and the case proceeds to a Tribunal then our solicitors will argue that the pair of them are entitled to f*ck all anyway. I really hope their case is dismissed. Can't believe the cheek of the auld b'stards when you consider Boyle gave them a lifeline in the game and no doubt paid them a decent salary up and until them did the dirty on us.

Exactly. Murphy was utter pish for a few weeks at the wrong time. If we are honest, Randolph is the only 'Well player that should be even considered. Eremenko has been fantastic, but one of the Old Firm players will undoutedly win.

Agreed they are totally different players and that a free role off a big striker is probably his best position but he didn't achieve much today playing with Sutton. Also agreed he looks woefully short of belief, but not sure I agree he has the ability. Part of me thinks (hopes) he might just be knackered after no proper summer break for a few years.

I know where you're coming from and agree with some of what you say, but what is his best position? A striker that can't head, shoot or hold the ball up ain't all that useful. He looks good running at people and seems to scare defenders but virtually never any end product. Can't remember the last time he actually hit a decent shot. Always dribbles them along the ground. I would love to be proven wrong and for Murphy to go on and be a legend for us, but just don't see it. Remember thinking the same earlier in the season when folk were up in arms about Goodwillie getting selected ahead of him for Scotland. I know who I would rather have up front, less the raping of course.Allegedly.

And then tries to blame Jones. Murphy is just not good enough for the SPL. All very well against total dross in the early rounds of Europe, but not the SPL. Looks like a wee lost wean most of the time and his shooting is fucking pathetic.

Anyone else think some of the players just look knackered? Always thought it strange that teams which competed in the (then) Intertoto Cup would have good/solid starts to the season, then fall away into winter and beyond. Over the last couple of years we have bucked this apparent trend. Not this year though. Looks to me like playing basically non stop football over 2-3 years is catching up on some of them..... ....however, conceding 6 goals in a game is shameful. No matter how tired, inexperienced, badly managed or just plain shite they may be.

+1. I was at the game yesterday and am as fed-up as the next man with the way things are going. There is a really depressing feeling about the club, SPL and scottish football in general at present. This is despite the relative success of our club in recent years (and hopefully a cup final or 2 this year!) However, to blame it on Boyle or to accuse him of not being a fan is as pathetic as it is stupid. Sure, he has made mistakes but who hasn't in life/work? Fact is we would be in a much, much worse position right now without him.

Shameful that a footballer would rather sign for a team like that than an established SPL team. Pretty much sums up our league.

One way to avoid a humping (I hope) is to play with 1 up front and 5 in midfield. Is jennings available? If so, centre mid of Jennings, Lasley and Fitzy with instructions to kick McCourt all over the pitch. Murphy and Humphrey on wings and Blackman upfront. Other way is to keep our fingers crossed that Lennon plays with Samaras and Murphy up front like he did against St Johnstone. They are both shite.
