Personally I wouldn't part with Coach or Ports in the January window. We'd get a pittance for Ports anyway and I have faith in Paul Quinn. He is capable of much, much better as he's proved. In some ways he's been his own worst enemy but he's had horrible luck these past 12 months and been badly managed by Mark McGhee. Steve Hammell on the other hand is as good as he's going to get and probably peaked about 3/4 years ago.

 

In short though I agree we need to add to the squad starting with the defence.

 

I agree mate Quinn has been treated about harsh as late and if we're going to sell a full back what about Hammell ? He's been consistently shite.Quinn obviously has been crap for a while but i don't think he's been any worse than anyone else in the defence.I think in the long term he has more potential than others tae.

Personally, I'm not in favour of marking the anniversary. For the sake of the O'Donnell family, I think it's time we moved on. A permanent memorial in time would be a great thing, but (and again this is only my gut instinct here) this will be a difficult enough time for the family without being reminded of last December's tragedy in a very public way...

 

Mate i know what your saying but I'm sure Phil's family would also like him not to be forgotten about.Then again maybe its an idea to ask his family what they would like and let them decide if they want a public anniversary of his death or just a personal one?

Forgive me but i would rather eat my own hand than see Maurice Ross in a Motherwell jersey.I know some may think "he would do a job" but you's are forgetting one thing...he is absolute Shiteee! I'm sorry i know its only suggestions but I just feel he was complete balls and always will be.Robbie Winters is a good shout, I'm sure he could bring much needed fire power to our team.Anyone feeling a bit of Dean Windass I for one would love it! I know he is very likely to be going to the sheep though...Possible loan deals...Premiership reserves obviously have talent, though I would much rather a Naismith/Fleck/Hutchison/Killen however, I'm sure we won't push the boat out.Folk such as Black and Cowie would be out our reach(200/300k fee?) and I'm almost positive they would sit out and wait for a Championship side as Black especially probably has greater potential than the SPL.Looking down the divisions...(preparing to be shot down) always thought Stephen Dobbie looked an excellent striker...(or a fat cunt) someone with his raw talent I'm sure could be whipped into shape by McGhee this would be a cheap way of getting good players

Does anyone else think this is a stone wall sell out in the away end ? Maybe Hamilton won't sell out their end but i think many will come out the woodwork for Accies away due to the small distance, many of my friends who go to the occasional game due to other commitments all had this down as a MUST-SEE match so i'm quite suprised to see this is a pay at the gate match.
