I would say there were more like a few hundred. My feet are killing me now but well worth the effort, surprisingly my 2 girls enjoyed it, was murder walking on ice virtually the whole way. Great effort by everyone who done the walk for a great cause and to remember Phil.

Why do we have so many stewards in the stands anyway, we all know where the bogs are and we know where the seats are, get them to stand on the outside of the wall where they belong or at the back, my experience of them is they are all twats who have no idea how to steward a crowd so why have them there. As to the sit down stuff, watch a few games in the premiership, away fans never sit down and home fans sometimes also stand with no problems whatsoever. I was at Liverpool carling cup game midweek and stood whole game and stewards in England dont care, they are there for peoples safety, not chucking out folk. This thread is what pisses me off about Fir Park, fun factor going to the games are virtually zero now, back in the day we bounced around traded a few blows and had a good day out, if the footie is boring people get bored and amuse themselves with a sing song and a bounce around, time for clubs north ot the border to get a reality check and realise part of the entertainment of the games is the fans and why the premiership has been marketed so well.

Can we nickname him Killer And sing Killer is gonna get you.

Got to agree with the Gannon comments, such a breath of fresh air and exactly what Motherwell Football Club needed after the farcical season just past with a manager looking to jump ship and not much effort to build for the future. Jimbo has had a massive job at the start and come through it superbly I hope Boyle has learned from his mistakes, for me there is still a lot of bridge building to be done between him and the fans, but he is getting there with the help of Leanne Dempster, never should a chairman try to maximise profit at the expense of his own fans, that will stick in my throat for some time, but we move on and what is happening at Motherwell is fantastic at the moment. Long may it continue

That would be much appreciated. The Flamurtari away programme went for £42 on e bay. A bit of controversy whether it was the real thing or not, but having purchased a few items from the seller I think it was genuine and the ones that were given out for free were copies of that. Not sure though but still a very rare item copy or not. Hats off to the guys who made it to the game in Albania.

Due to being on holiday for the home tie v Flamurtari not only did I miss our greatest ever win in Europe, I am also minus a ticket stub from the home (away at airdrie) Tie. I collect all things Motherwell and my mates usually give me anything that I miss, however they want to hold onto their stubs for the Flamurtari game for obvious reasons. If anyone wants to swap their ticket for a 91 final programme, a Nancy away ticket (in one piece) a Nancy home programme, a steaua away programme, home programme v steaua + ticket stub or anything else you might not have and willing to swap PM me and we can arrange something. I will give a 2-5 v rangers programme for this stub

Someone from the hush hush Middlesbrough bounce game maybe? I am the same thinking as yourself, we need another defender in, no chance Stevie will be leaving, and the reason the shirts are tight on him is because he has to wear the smalls as the shirts are rationed for the season

You can pick up the final programme quite cheap, try replacing the Aberdeen, Falkirk & Morton ones and you will have a bit of trouble, seen an Aberdeen one sell on e bay for £17 and it's the only one I have seen, not seen a Falkirk or Morton home for some time. I have a full set now after losing the first ones I had, finally getting the last one fromAlmondvale programmes in Edinburgh of all places and he had a few for £1 if anyone is short of one or two from a full set maybe its the place to look.

Mine is No 12 Surely someone would not go to the bother of producing a fake programme and correcting the spelling mistakes? Why go to the bother and the guy has sold loads of gen stuff on e bay. It must be one for the press but with the spelling correct . Obviously on about the topic in another thread about the one for sale. They sure are rare. Nearly as rare as a 50/51 League cup final programme. Anyone got a spare?

Sutton for me, great performance from the front man and looks good for the coming season, linked up well with play as well as getting on the end of the punts from the long ball, good variation of play and Gannon is bringing on Forbes just brilliantly comes close. Never been more happy after a defeat

His brolly caught in the wind and hence why he didnae get on it. He decided to drive to Aberdeen

Best turnaround I have witnessed, The Cooper emptied rather quickly

Ah but big Dunc the drunk put an end to they contracts and went on to make quite a bit of money from the game in transfer fees, living in Spain with his family now. Young players these days will be very reluctant to sign long term deals at a club like Motherwell which is the sign of the times, they are all chasing the golden contract and playing for the jersey is long gone.

The Saturday Service was a way of life back then for some kids, not much to look forward to during the week and gaining a buzz at the weekend, it was all the rage then and having been there myself was some of the best days I have experienced, all guys taking the mick out of each other but when it came down to it all standing together facing the opposition fans, I think we done ok and the author of the book explains that in detail. Times move on people pass on and today is a time to think back and think about old mates and old players alike. We stand together team and fans. Times have moved on and there are a few idiots out there but they are far outnumbered by players fans and casuals alike who have Motherwell at heart.

RIP Mowgli, Could not believe the news today, football for me today came second knowing some of your family. We are sure to have some team up there now. Who is the manager
-
No brainer this time, lets hope an outfield player wins it in the home leg. Good preparation for our SPL campaign. Lets all laugh at Mark McGhee

Quality, great news. Europe 2 years in a row, who would have thought it.

Yes Fatcalf, that thread was misleading, as I said I didn't know much about the Trust and thought what was being written on a fans messageboard didn't promote the trust very well when it came to sponsorship. It is so difficult to get sponsorship to keep a team running and what was being aired on a fans forum was confusing to me as you say should have been sorted out with a simple phone call or such. Without dragging it all back up which was not my intention, I was just simply saying a representative of the Trust was writing quite a bit on here about it which (in my opinion) did not show the trust in a good way, especially when people were reading it and were considering joining the Trust. Good you got it sorted out
-
It really baffles me all this talk about the trust, and what they stand for. I didn't really know much about the trust and was considering joining to put in an extra tenner to the club, that was until I read the thread about the trust not paying sponsorship to Motherwelltrust football club. Being a former manager of an amateur team I found it outrageous that a team promoting membership was being denied sponsorship monies, yes it was sorted out eventually and the footie team got their money, but I just wonder how much it cost the trust in membership in people joining. I have no links to any of the teams involved but read it all like i assume many others and pretty much showed the trust in a bad light to putting monies to good use from membership. If Motherwell were in financial trouble I would put money in, but not into a trust to support a few people who seem to be on a power trip, we are the trust blah blah. Numerous trusts can be set up and maybe the way to go. Concession age lowered great, Cooper stand back great, season ticket prices frozen great, did the trust achieve this or did Motherwell just employ someone who realised keep the fans on board or lose them and we are losing them quite quickly and the other clubs who come to our ground don't bring nearly as many to balance the books.

The old Mothewell stadium was a place, plenty of stock cars and pony trotting, mind you and not much football. I used to live on the street that the gates to enter the stadium were on and was a funny sight watching people getting into the boot of the car for free entry, plus the joys of getting a free ride on the horse boxes in our younger days were exciting, if you spooked a horse you got a chase with a whip which was even more exciting. the park there now does not get used as often as it should. MFC were doon the road a wee bit but Motherwell is Motherwell.

Never forgotten, true legends never are. 14 years has certainly flown by. RIP Davie

Hughes for me, he played last night the way mcGhee has been at him for a while to play, unlucky with the shot off the bar and a cracking goal, to add to his distribution of the ball last night.

I will probably be having a beer or 3 and will be on my own tonight so will pop into stratfords for a few if there is plenty of well fans heading there

Well I am glad I checked on here as I am just about to leave for Edinburgh, Meeting up with a friend there and when she heads off home my plan was to go to Tynecastle, now there is a pay at the gate I don't need to worry about times and not getting a ticket. Mon The Well

I listened to his phone in tonight on the drive home from work and heard him mentioning the keyboard hardmen and the phone up routine. Simple fact is I would be cut off talking to him live on radio, I could call him the microphone hardman. Well spoken the Well fans who called his show and got some very good points across tonight, if this thread has achieved anything it has made that twat stop and think about what he is actually saying. Ewan if you read this I wouldnt bother my arse meeting you for a drink like you offered on your show because i think you are a tit. If you want to meet the keyboard hardmen join on here send a message and i would be more than happy to meet up with you. It was a pleasure meeting Roughy in Paris before our famous win when he was in the concorde hotel with Victoria and Graeme Spiers. Maybe the next time the Motherwell boys meet up with the real radio team you might be there Ewan, and we will see what happens then with the keyboard hardmen eh? The only reason I started this thread was because every night it was giving Motherwell pelters, we all know the pitch is bad but at the end of the day its a bit OTT and it will be sorted at the end of the season, if it is not yes throw the book at Motherwell
