  1. How are they? The same folk who buy a jersey will still buy a jersey, whether it comes oot now or in a couple of weeks.

I don't always buy a top. I've got a season ticket and will make almost every home game each year, but rarely wear a football top to the games, normally just my scarf will do.

However, if the top is out before I go on holiday I'd always buy one to wear about. This year if its out for T in the Park I'll buy it, great top to wear about and its a conversation starter to talk football with people your meeting for the first time. I also play football much more during the nicer weather of the summer and would love the top for that.

If it comes out at the end of the summer I will have less use for it, the summer is when I want it most. If it comes out as later as last year I won't be bothering. Will get it if its half price at the end of the season, something I have done plenty of times before now. I don't know how many other people think the same way as me, I hope not too many, as if there are the club and shop would be missing a trick not having it out by now. (I do understand it might not be as straight forward as some of us think it is and that might be why they take as long.)

  2. Can't do 3pm KOs on a Sunday, thus I'm missing the Hearts game, only missed one home game this season, yet missing one already at the very start of this season, gutted.

Looking forward to the Hearts xmas game though. And Aberdeen away is the weekend of my birthday, I have 3 friends with 3 different flats in Aberdeen, might well make a night of that game :drinks:

  3. But if you die younger surely that eats into the potential savings?

    Don't be silly!

Your only saving money with your season book for a year, if your die 20 years younger due to heart failure you'll save 20 years worth of food and drink bills compared to someone who is healther, and well happier.

People seem to think Scotland has an obsity crisis, thats bullshit, Scotland just has a load of shrude savers, saving in reverse almost.

  4. Imagine your a big fat fuck and you go to McD's every day, you have two big fat fuck kids and you take them every second day, saving a quid a day, you'd save a total of £730.

Now like all big fat fucks you'll have a gym membership, you'll never go like, you just have the membership to feel a wee bit better about yourself when you tell people about being a member of a gym; that saves you £66.Thats a total saving of £476 after you've paid for your season ticket, thats amazing.

I'm not a bit fat fuck though, I would consider myself in alright shape I guess.

Moral of the post, the fatter you are the more you'll save; however there will be a greater chance people are making jokes about you behind your back, you'll be less sexually attractive and you'll die a lot younger; swings and roundabouts really I guess.

  5. To be fair, at the time it was felt we needed a striker, if we had to pay x amount of wages and could only take on one player then it'd be an insane manager who would take on a great defender over a decent striker just because he is better in the position he plays.

Even if he was here and was now valued at £15M it wouldn't do us any good, we'd have had him for half a season, Aberdeen would have had him for half a season and neither of us would profit off his move.

I don't think Brown has done anything wrong taking Blackman over Jones when given the chance.

  6. interesting to see 8 teams have managed to stay in the league every year since the SPL started!

    7 teams.

Hibs are in the top 8, sitting 6th ahead of us and Dundee Utd, however, they have had a season out of the top flight. Quite impressive reaslly that having played 30-odd games less in the SPL they are ahead of two teams to be fair.

  7. Just on the JO'B front I noticed a post on twitter by Hammell;

stevenhammell Steven Hammell @ @theboyobrien checked it out, loved it, need to get an unplugged session soon!! #wellnumber11nextseason

Well Number 11 next season?

I think they might be on the wind-up though, doubt they would be allowed to post things like that if they had information, and like has been said he is still under contract down south and would be on more than we can pay now.

  8. Just had a look at the twitter post from Flow to Murphy; can't be a good sign for us when the club staff are chasing down players on holiday to get in contact witht the club asap. They must have had a serious offer to bother him on his holiday. Don't think I can stand us losing Murph after Sutton

  9. Fuck you John Sutton hope you enjoy your time on the bench at swinecastle !

Time to dig your head oot your arse.

Sutton has stated we didn't offer him a contract until near the cup final, by this point in time he'd known about the possibility of a move to Edinburgh for a while, and would have made his mind up before we offered him a contract, not because he didn't want to be here, because we didn't have him secure when he needed it.

He hasn't slated Motherwell, in fact in full interviews, he has stated how much he enjoyed his football here and painted a picture of us as being a good club for any young player to be thinking about playing at.

He picked his words wisely during the interview on tape at tynecastle (see YouTube) in order to show full respect to Motherwell, when pushed several times, and only after being pushed several times, he said Hearts was a bigger club. Is this why he should fuck off? For being honest, Hearts are a much bigger club than Motherwell, get over it.

Yes he also said he may be able to achieve something at Hearts he didn't here, such as group stages of Europa or some silverware. Is this slating Motherwell? Is it fuck. Hearts are a bigger team, more fans, more money and should be bettering us, pure and simple.

Watch and read full interviews. Don't just base what you think on what journos are spoon feeding you.

  10. he was on loan so he was getting exactly the same as blackburn would've payed the rest of his wages if they weren't being payed in full

The difference here is Aberdeen may have been willing to pay more of that wage to get Blackman, it may have been out of his hands and Motherwell's, if Aberdeen offered a higher cut of his wage Blackburn would have handed him to them I'd imagine.

  11. Randolph or Murphy for Celtic will be on the back page tomorrow.

Remember on the morning of our semi a few years back, it was Faddy for Rangers.

Randy for Celtic was on the back page of one of the papers yesterday, maybe the mirror, had a quick glance over it in work.

  12. Whats the money going to? Youth Development?

Not trying to sound negitive but you can buy a signed ball from the club shop for £20, if 20 people on each bus enters the draw the club will be picking up £100 a ball. Hope its going to a good cause or back into team development.

  13. Another nice point is that if they have come in now so they can put their names on the back of the top for the final, clearly us getting to this big end of season show peice has been the deciding factor in this deal, thus if they wanted to advertise via us during the final, I'd imagine they are paying a premium for that.

This could be a very tidy deal for the club, plus they know the money is there now and won't be pissing about at the start of the season for any sponsor. Thus, we may have a few more pennies for contract talks and signings during the summer.

  14. I have a mate coming whos a Rangers fan, with Motherwell as his 'wee' team. To be fair to him he used to be Amber the bear at Fir Park, hes been to all our Euro games, seen Motherwell away in Aberdeen and Stenraer and been to more home games at Fir Park this season than the boy who has the season ticket next to me. He ain't into all this Union flag nonsence and always wears his kilt to games like this so he'll fit in just fine.

  15. And I thought Wonga was bad :( thank god I've already got my plain hoop!

Not sure if I like it at all.

But, its much better than Wonga. Come on, this is a company at least giving people in a tight spot money for things they can live without. Instead of giving people money and charging them 4000% interest. Thats just plain fucking immoral money grabbing at the expense of the pennyless stupid.

  16. Seriously though, does anyone actually know any Celtic fans who want to sit in the Motherwell end? I don't.

I know one who was trying to get tickets for him and some mates in the Motherwell end, haven't spoke to him in work in a while but if he gets tickets I'll be sure to post the seat numbers here if he tells me and anyone near him and point him out if he trys anything or doesn't get into the display ect, really don't want groups of Celtic fans runing it for us all.

  17. I've entered as well. If I get a phone call I'll remember to say I'm a Celtic fan. Wouldn't it be great to see some Motherwell fan step up, do it, then the boys in Celtic tops finish it and rip off the top to uncover hidden Motherwell colours, that'd wind them right up. :yahoo:
