  1. One of many stand outs for me last night. From back to front they all played really well and put a real shift in. Forbes can still be a player but toiled, as he has done in few games, last night.
  2. A bit of a victim of his early success IMO, raised expectation a bit too much too early. Has already scored some excellent goals though. Lovely left foot but wants a wee bit too long on the ball to set hiself up for the pass or shot at times for my liking. But he is still young, as others have said if he can bulk up a bit and improve his stamina he will be a fantastic player. Hpefully his confidence hasn't been damaged too much by not being played in recent games.
  3. Predict a 2-1 defeat, and the park will cut up to fuck and we will be all over the tabloids on Thursday morning
  4. Thing is that there is absolutely nothing that can be done to sort this until the end of the season. That is the really frustrating thing.
  5. Agree, but please not like St Mirrens, feckin awful example of a new stadium design.
  6. Whereas I appreciate the line that the new surface will take a bit of time to "knit" together, if that is the nick that it is at the moment I shudder to think how it will be by the end of the season. It is like a patchwork quilt - so much for growing a surface from seed rather than laying turf. I fear that another few hundred grand will have to be spent at the end of the season. It also means that us, the paying public, are forced to watch some really shit football as the ball is constantly humped up the park to avoid trying to pass the ball on that shit surface. It was a big decider on the quality of football on show today. Also more negative press for th club. Boyle must be feckin raging.
  7. Big Lucas for me, constantly made himself available and tried to hold the ball up. I felt that he knocked his pan in the full game. As a reward for all of his effort throughout the game I though that he thoroughly deserved to get the goal and win the game for us.
  8. Typical stuff on this forum, somone has the bare faced cheek to comes up with a new idea that deserves our support and it seems like a competition on here to see who put it down and try to be a smart arse without even giving it a go or getting off their fat arses and actually attending, at least then your opinion would be valid and at least worth listening to. Then posters moan that the club isn't being inclusive enough or trying anything to be a bit different and get people to go to Fir Park and try and make it a social hub not just on match days. Absoulte murder, fuck knows why anyone bothers if this is the utter shite that they have to put up with. Come on then smart arses where are you great ideas then???
  9. Myself and my brother went along, really disappointing turnout considering the result and the fact that a lot of folk wouldn't have made it up to Aberdeen and that it had been mentioned on here. It's a really good idea but first attempt was a bit rough but that is only to be expected. Game was on the TV's all around the Copper Suite as well as on the big screen with the projector so no problems watching the game. Would be good if this was thought of by those attending as possibly a full day event, watch the early kickoff game on Sky then watch highlights of the Motherwell game then catch the later game on Sky, a bit like going to the pub but with the added attraction of watching the full Motherwell game as well that you wouldn't usually have access to. Also the DVD had no sound as it is usually used by the management team to analyze the game so a bit of commentary would be good for future events. Appreciate the effort the organisers went to and the fact that they are trying to organise events of this type, those that were there were all sound folk and we had a good laugh. As it was the first event of this type hopefully word will spread and be better attended in the future. Thanks again to the organisers - Cheers. P.S. Thanks to BobWilsonAnchorMan for the pause and rewind for the goals.

    Aberdeen

Wouldn't have it any other way.
  11. More worried about losing guys, than those that might be coming in tbh.
  12. Allan Preston is a complete and utter fanny, he seem to have a real beef with all things MFC.
  13. Watched the Dortmund v Hamburg game on ESPN and their pich was a right feckin state as well. I think that the majority of clubs in Europe's pitches are suffering similar issues to us. At times this requirement for undersil heating causes more issues than it resolves.
  14. First time I've seen the boys play since Jack and Victor took over, and I liked what I saw. Not brilliant but much more like it lots of effort, aggression and a fair bit of good football to boot. Good to see the guys putting in some tackles and not get pushed about and looking like they might actualy be enjoying playing football again. I had forgotten what it was like actually winning a game and not shitting myself that we were going to draw or lose the game in the last few minutes with strange substitutions and tactical switches. If JG is still unemployed get him back as a scout, he seems to know how to find a good player pity he turned out to be a dick.
  15. Don't worry about it you won't be missed.
  16. C'mon you spill the beans about all this.

    Game Off

Fair enough everyone, but where exactly is the money coming from for all these repairs, improvements, new stadium etc. Maybe if more folk got off their arses and actually went to the games the club might have more money to carry some of these suggestions out. Or do we expect Mr Boyle to dip into his own pocket or transfer cash from the next managers budget to fund this (can't wait to hear the howls of complaint on here if this happened).
  18. Aww naw, Yass is away - nothing personal but thank fuck. Total imposter of a football player, and would have been totally pissed off if they had wasted anther penny on his wages. The guys in the stands will feel a sign of relief that we won't have to dodge any more of his shite crosses. Cheers Yass but don't let the door hit ye on the arse.
  19. Good guy, all the best Steven . The goal againt St.Midden at the start of Mutleys first season will be long remembered, a taste of what was to come.
  20. Happy New Year to all Dossers wherever you may be. Who knows what 2010 holds for us, I'm sure it won't be dull anyway.
  21. Is it no - "Seig Heil Motherwell" Don't like it anyway but may as well get it right.
  22. Of course we are, we're football fans what the fuck do you expect.
  23. Went onto jimgannon.co.uk to have a shuftie to see if he has anything to say yet. Sounds like there maybe some legal stuff going on in the background as he has been advised not to respond to fans e-mails yet and will be releasing a statement at some point - look forward to reading that. From website jimgannon.co.uk I have today (29/12/2009) received a message from Jim Gannon, thanking all the fans that have emailed through the website. Jim wanted to reply to you on an individual basis, but has been advised not to do so at this present time. Jim has assured me that, when possible, he will release a statement. Once again thank you for all your kind comments and support. Peter Wilson Website Administrator
