Humphrey all day long, watch this space him and Blackman could form a great partnership. His confidence will be a key to progressing.

10 out of 10 Shaka, you were at the same game as me, Humphrey was top notch today, but cramp got the better of him towards the end. Defenders are not there to pass..... twoddle. Shaka great answer mate. You obviously know your football.

There are a few variations, all of which seem pheasible but to be honest, i would put the strongest team out on Sunday available, as the SPL is still a priority for us. If things go well on Sunday i believe playing the second leg on the back of a win will have the team high on confidence. Maybe like to see Blackman get a full game under his belt, as i get the feeling that he will come good for us. Perhaps give young Sutton a rest.

Oh come on mate, give the lads a break, they have all performed fantastic to get that type of result in Norway. Yes a few below par rounds from some individuals, but you have got to be happy with an away goal. Jennings - breaks everything thing up in the middle, i agree he is not a creator but a workhorse which is needed when your weak up front. Lasley- i agree with his vision, but he is too much like Jennings, one or the other needs to be changed, fortunatly Jennings will sit the next tie out, lets see who comes in. Hately- Great goal, and for that alone i shall leave him out of my Post mortem. Craigan- Agree to slow, but to be fare so are most Club captains that play centre back. Humphrey- Was played out of position first half, but tried his best never the less, second half he was ripping the left back to pieces, which resulted in the left back being subbed. And a point to note the lowest point scorer from the papers on the Hibs game was the (left back) after Humphrey left him needing some there there cream from his mummy. The team had watched Humphrey on Sunday, so i amagine thats why Mr Brown changed him to the left to put a spanner in the works, not sure that paid off as if Humphrey was on the right from the start i think the score would of been different. Good effort Humphrey, keep it up, One to watch in the SPL this season and i have a feeling that he will gel with Blackman, soon.

How the hell can you give Reynolds an 7 he was awfull, and Craigan 8 , every pass he tried to make he banged into the crowd, i am sorry i must of been watching a different game. HUMPHREY, was outstanding today, yes a few wayward crosses but in genral he is hitting the right areas, to say he has no technique is damm right rude. Beating a man at full speed and getting a cross into the danger area is difficult, so if you have no technique you cant do that. A score of 6 does not reflect his effort today. I am sorry i dont agree with scoring our defence higher than HUMPHREY on this occasion, if it wasnt for RANDOLPH we could easily have been on the end of a real pasting.

I really cant believe i read this comment, this lad ran himself into the ground for the team, of course not every cross is going to be perfect, but unfortunatley yet again his best work went begging again, (No Strikers) to nod it in. HUMPHREY got the sponsers man of the match aswell. And bloody well deserved too. What more does this lad have to do to get you on board. Now thats really annoying.

Slight twist to your version I'll go: - Rangers Celtic Motherwell Hibs Hearts Dundee Utd ------------- Aberdeen Hamilton ICT St Johnstone Kilmarnock St Mirren

Oh yes.......The HUMPH Meister good point....BAHB (Be A Humphrey Believer)

To be fair i think Hateley has played most midfield positions, his best position is centre midfield, but the likes of Jennoe would be near on impossible to budge. If we have to find a position that suits him and is tactically sound i would stick to right/back or leave him on the bench and play FORBES, just to see how it goes, Brown used a 3 up front scenario Thurs and i personally thought it worked really well. Or a twist to the theory would be play HATELEY in the centre with JENNINGS and drop Lasley to the bench, giving LASLEY something to think about as automatic selection seems to be guaranteed for him week in week out, the competition for his position can only benefit the team in the long run.

Can anyone give an update on how JOB is doing down south, i have been looking out for him but he seems to have gone AWOL. Giles COKE seems to have got off to a great start.
-
Well the time has come yet again, could this be are season, Celtic and Rangers dont seem to be at the races Pre season. Any ideas on the line up we want for Sunday match. I would go for the same start eleven minus, Sutton lets give Forbes a run out.
-
Jonnymfc..... a perfect response, i agree with you entirely, i have seen the potential in HUMPHREY for a while now but like most people we have not seen the best of him, he will get there just keep supporting him and the confidence levels will shine through and that will only benefit the club. Do we reckon he is in a position to start Sat game ?
-
And your point was ? I see you dont like my capital letters, i do apologise SORRY. Cant we just stick to Football related issues and not my formatting skills, if the you have nothing of interest to post why bother posting it. I can go to work and deal with numptys all day every day, please give me some restbite. The Thread was (Scape Goat) not Countdown.

Great result, and i actually got the prediction result correct, unfortunatley i never backed it up with a tenner, well can someone @least say my TOLD YOU SO has came off as regards HUMPHREY. Go on LADYWELL admit it
-
To be fair the tie itself was the best we could of hoped for at this stage, winnable with some element of luck, we keep the score line down in Norway or even hold out for the draw, and the skys the limit. Group stages would be a dream come true. Thurs win will mean the players are buzzing about the Hibs match and hopefully confidence will be high for the rest of the campaign.

Grrrrrrrrrrr No comment (BAHB)
-
Saunders will be dropped (which is a shame) and i see Hately slipping back into the RB position, with BROWNS comments on attack i see him starting HUMPHREY and FORBES, and hoping to get the first goal within the first 20minutes then if need be later in the second half, taking one or both the wingers off. Prediction; Motherwell 3 Nil. Murphy x2 Forbes x1
-
Yes lets see, HUMPHREY will start tonight, remember its my opinion alone, and i am sorry if i have harped on about it, but it vexes me to have to explain a footballers job in order to get my point across. Lets see if HUMPHREY can better his 10% ratio of crosses (apparently) grrrrrrrrrrrr I see a good win tonight and all this will be forgotten and hopefully i am stating I TOLD YOU SO. CHOPPER Oh come on, a little playground dont you think LADYWELL
-
I really do think you were watching a different game, The job of a winger is to get the ball into the danger area, thats it, sometimes it works some times it does not, ITS THE STRIKERS JOB to complete the equation or at least attempt to, Genrally it is a team game but the STRIKERS get paid to put the ball in the back of the net, Wingers put the ball in the box. I apologise for explaining the obvious. His crosses were and always will be a mixed bag, but if he keeps providing them without constant doubters, he will come good. MAKING DEFENDERS PANIC you put the ball in the box they panic, its simple. Last point, i think HUMPHREY works well with HATELEY, its LASLEY that cant work with him, HUMPHREY needs ball to feet, not over his head at pace, LASLEY although he seems to be bullet proof from critisism from a majority of the fans needs to take his blinkers off on occasions and work with HUMPHREY and HATELEY. Hopefully Thursday BROWN will throw caution to the wind and start HUMPHREY.
-
I would say at least four or five crosses into the box, in the first 40mins of the Thurs leg at home last month was (ACTING LIKE A FIRST TEAM PLAYER) some might say ON A PLATE for a quality striker, but all HUMPHREY can do is put them in the mixer and let MURPHY and SUTTON provide the excuses as to why they did not get on the end of them. The lad cant do anymore than that. LADYWELL might disagree. But please feel free to enlighten me if them facts were wrong. I was at the game that night and that was my opinion. When HUMPHREY was at Shrewsbury Town, they had Grant HOLT up front who scored in and around 28 goals both seasons, most of those came from assists from HUMPHREY. We get the right guy up front to back MURPHY up and we will reap the rewards. LADYWELL i want him to prove you wrong really i do.
-
Here Here to the last thread. Perfect response, dont knock it
-
Sadly no i am not HUMPHREY, just frustrated about his lack of game time, as i see the potential in the lad, but it appears that Browny does not rate him as high as i do.
-
Well it is almost certain that BROWN will start the same team as started last Thursday, with HUMPHREY being left on the bench again( ) as he played in the Micky Mouse (BATHGATE) friendly. This is without doubt the tie of a lifetime for Motherwell, lets show what Scotland has to offer out of the big smoke. Murphy will be buzzing after being included in the U21 setup, and i just have this feeling that it will be a great night, maybe the ultimate BAHB (BE A HUMPHREY BELIEVER) me...will see HUMPHREY given some time on the park to use the space behind a team desperate to grab an away goal, HUMPHREY will need a good 45minutes to provide what i believe to be his MOMENT.
