  1. @last some positive feedback about HUMPHREY, the points highlighted are pretty much my veiws, apart from the fact that confidence is the main issue at the mo, but how do you think HUMPHREY feels about having to play in Micky Mouse friendlies, while the whole start squad are rested, yes i know he is a footballer but he is playing with the youth team on a daily basis, yes its game time, but at least make him feel like a first team player. HUMPHREY His work ethic cant be questioned as he is never on the pitch long enough for that to be an issue. I believe FORBES and HUMPHREY can play in the same team, and if they do it will prove successful (eventually). BAHB (BE A HUMPHREY BELIEVER)
  2. HUMPHREY played the best game ever in a Motherwell shirt last season (HAMILTON) @ Right back. . Give him a run in the team at R/B and he could prove you wrong.
  3. I read a thread earlier and it mentioned the fact that HUMPHREY seems to be used as the team scape goat thus far this season.....the lad gets crosses into the box and a majority of the time knowone gets on the end of it.... We dont have many players in the team that offer much that any other teams would like.... as in goal scorers.... great defenders.... classy midfielders...superb keeper.....HUMPHREY has PACE (YOU CANT BUY THAT) dont get me wrong Motherwell are doing fine in my eyes, but one thing i cant understand is the fact that we dont use HUMPHREY enough, lets play him from the start... not ten minutes here ten minutes there....if we start the SPL with HUMPHREY on form we will fly out the traps.... Tell me why Brown just does not like the kid.....FORBES was awful on Thurs, but he will start on Thurs....Lets start with are strongest start eleven on Thurs.... not hold back and throw HUMPHREY on for the last few minutes... HUMPHREY comes on last week we scored.... it was not his fault the team then decided to shut up shop and he didnt get much ball after that..... Yes he needs to improve but i tell you what he will be a major player for us this season if WE USE HIM.
  4. After last weeks (Good result) poor performance, why not have a real go @them in Norway, all the talk is about holding out for a point, or even only losing by the odd goal.....and taking them to pieces in the return leg.... Forget that Browny lad, rumour has it the left back is slow (Steam Roller like) drop young hately either to right back or a place on the bench... Lets use young Humphrey to get behind them..... 4 out of 10 crosses into the box, aint bad especially if one of them hits Murphy on the back of the head and he scores... then taking a lead back to Scotland sounds much more promising, and then i think we will see a much more attacking game. Humphrey looked ok in the friendley match the other day, and so did Hugh if i am honest. Come on lads lets have a go.
  5. Dazzer Hammel reynolds Crags Hutchinson Jennings Lasley Forbes Hateley Murphy Sutton My view would be that Hateley will play right Wing (instead) of HUMPS, Hutchinson will play right back instead of Hateley, the rest of the team will be the same as ended last week. Its a shame in my opinion as PACE is our only assett at the momment, and it would not supprise me if he is dropped to the bench, the left back for them last week was non existant in the first half , due to the fact he was terrified about HUMPS pace, however when HUMPS left the field in the second half, the left back became a problem and a play maker.... anyway hope we get the result needed.
  6. I just cant see where the goal is going to come from, it feels like a Nil Nil game, last week the strikers looked a little clueless to be honest. I see our only chance of scoring from FORBES free kick perhaps.........Hope i am wrong.....
  7. Not sure if I was watching a different match last Thursday (home leg), but I thought Humphrey was outstanding on the right-hand side. Him and Hateley worked well together causing their left-back endless problems! Yes...not all of his crosses were perfect, but a majority hit the 6 yard area. Any decent striker could have scored 3 or 4 before half time. Personally, I would persevere with Hateley right-back, Humphrey right-wing. If they play week in week out, I think that will become a successful partnership. Team for Thursday: I will almost guarantee you that Humphrey will be dropped and Hateley will play right-wing. This is so frustrating, we have to play our right-back at right-wing and a centre-back at right-back! This is outrageous! For some reason, Brown does not like Humphrey! last season, Humphrey played at right-back against Hamilton...he was outstanding! Better than any other other right-backs I have seen play there over the last 2 seasons. MR BROWN - GET A DECENT STRIKER....AND HUMPHREY WILL GET YOU GOALS!!!
