Does anyone know if taking the option to spread the payments over the 4 months meant that you weren't entitled to the early bird discount? Just noticed my bank is expecting the next two payments to come out last week July/first week August (which makes a bit of a mockery of the 4 month spread but hey ho...) and they are taking the direct debits up to the full whack for my seat in the POD.
Carswell also, could understand one of the sponsor awards going to Josh Law for his goals but he fell badly out of things after the second late kick on him in the first half. To give the second award to Vigurs, however, was baffling.
It was quite amusing, the boy he was arguing with was sitting about 4 rows back in the Main Stand. 5 mins to go he shouts "Do something McCall."
McCall turns and says "Do what?"
"Make them play better" came the reply.
McCall then rightly gave him both barrels at time up.
Not usually as early as November though, from memory. Generally a bit closer to the Companies House filing deadline for the accounts (the February following the May year end).
All the coverage I read re Spencer's departure from Portland suggested Boyd has been on the bench there in recent weeks. He is their "Designated Player" and as such on serious $$$. All the talk has been re finding a replacement for Spencer who'd get the best out of him.
My view at the time was that Lasley was lucky not to have been booked before then and could have little or no complaints for a persistent fouling yellow card. Not sure if that was what would have gone in the match report of course.
Think it was the 1993 pre season - on the Muirhouse bus down to watch a couple of friendlies against Spennymoor and Durham.
Remember very little about the weekend, never mind the fitba.
I thought it was telling that McCall's reaction at half time was to go and speak to the Main Stand linesman re the offside rather than wait for the ref.
Loved that Higdon appeared to be saying to the ref something along the lines of "they hate you more than they hate me" as they went off at half time together .
Catering set up in the POD was a farce yesterday, certainly at the kiosk towards the Cooper Stand end. 4 staff serving at half time, 3 of whom were serving the Celtic fans queue... Thanks a bunch guys.
Actually remember watching him play for Portadown when over in NI for a BB football thing. Can't remember who the opposition was, but they had another ex Dosser Neil Candlish up front for them. Was a crazy experience going to a game there at that time, with soldiers patrolling the ground and armoured vehicles outside it.
Was in Ottawa a few years ago for a couple of days - popped into a Scottish bar there for a pint and was pleased to see the Anglian windows era home and away strips hung up in pride of place. Sure they said it was a Well fan who came over to Ottawa on business regularly who left them.
Was speaking to a Boro supporting mate of mine last night - apparently they have sold this season's shirt sponsorship on a month by month basis as they couldn't agree a season long deal with anyone. IF they get all the monthly deals signed up, they will have made more than they did from last season's deal.
All their replica kits are being sold without a sponsor.
Might be bollocks but story I heard was that there was supposed to be a director representing MFC on the fixtures committee but he had managed to miss the 3 meetings leading up to the split...
She must have hated Luc - I mind him winning a crucial tackle on the East Stand side one day as a team broke from a Motherwell corner...only for her to explode and give him pelters for being out of position.
She was known as Mrs BMX socks in my days in the East Stand as she regularly sported a pair.
