  1. We are on about the players rebuild, has anyone given a thought about the supporters does anyone think we will have an increase/decrease/same amount of home support, I just hope it’s an increase but have my doubts as it will be interesting to see what all clubs attendances will be like when back to some kind of normality, especially when you can watch your home games through your season ticket as arranged by SKY and the SPFL in the comfort of your home?
  2. Spot on but not only the Premier League but just the same in the Championship as Hearts were rank rotten towards the run in but thanks to their good first half of the season along with the rivals not good enough to put a decent run in, they literally fell over the winning line. The play off for the championship will be very interesting and would be very difficult to predict as the three teams involved are unpredictable, personally I would like to see Dunfermline come through as I would like to see them back in the Premiership!
  3. I would agree with Dunne getting the chance as he was unfortunate with his injury and I know that he had his critics but I would like for him to get a chance, GA will have to make some decisions regarding who will be offering contracts and would think with Dunne it might be 50/50 if offered !
  4. It would be nice to see some of the players he signed/loaned in January, but that sums up our season, I can’t remember a season where we had as many injuries as we had, I take it that Donnelly and Carson are also out for the rest of the season?
  5. Here we go again another round of Celtic/Rangers wanting to join a British league!! This is hypocrisy at its best, only a couple of days ago both of them slagging the six English clubs initially wanting to to join the European Super league, and now they want to destroy Scottish football which will happen if this nonsense! Personally I think it’s a non goer, but it must be a worry for a few club chairman’s .
  6. As you said he will be judged on his signings during the summer, I cannot remember a season for the number of injuries, hopefully the club need to carry out some kind of inquest to why we are getting so many long term injuries. I wouldn’t think there will be a massive rebuild, but hopefully we will have a reserve/ youth teams next season, as most clubs we need to develop our own youngsters as they are our future, unfortunately due to COVID we don’t appear to have any up and coming stars and we need to direct some money towards this development in the hope of getting another Turnbull, McFadden type player
  7. Look maybe a bit early to start criticising GA but I am not too sure he is the man to rebuild our squad on the evidence of the January window, I can’t quite remember who he personally brought in as I am sure Kelly and Lawless were a done deal before he arrived but the remains signings apart from Robert’s (even that signing I don’t think would be GA’s doing) the rest I am sorry we’re just making up numbers! As far as Campbell, I think he is a great pro and has been brilliant for us, not sure if he is English championship standard, I would think it would be lower leagues that would suit his style, mind you Hibs have been kind of chasing him according to my Hibs friends!
  8. It sounds weird, but there again maybe he needed all the coaching staff’s opinions! Have to say his substitutions were a bit strange as well, thought they were crying out for a change long before he brought on the first sub Hastie on the 81st minute.
  9. The easiest decision is to vote for Liam Kelly and suppose Hastie had a reasonable game as for the rest I am sorry but not even close to pass marks!!
  10. I am sorry to say Hamilton are fighting for their lives and can’t see nothing but a Hamilton win, but on saying that we cannot play any worse than tonight, so maybe hope!!
  11. I would certainly go for a smaller squad but with decent quality, it will be interesting to see what transpires with GA completely in charge, as I cannot say his January deals were anything but impressive especially when Lawless and Kelly were done deals before GA arrived, it will be interesting to see if Charlie Dunne gets a new deal especially if he hasn’t played for 18 months!!
  12. Despite a poor team performance I thought some good individual performances namely Gallagher, McGinlay, O’Donnell Cole and even thought Long had a decent game but the obvious choice was Kelly by a mile
  13. Interesting kick off for the old firm game 1600 hrs on the Saturday, so just as well it’s on the Premier Channel, I didn’t think they would be allowed to have the old firm game clashing with the 1500 hrs kick offs , mind you the SFA are involved so their is your answer!!
  14. I assume the TV games will be announced shortly, just wondering what games they will show live, not sure how they distribute the live games and how many, I assume Rangers v Celtic will be on Premier Sports and the rest could be anyone’s guess, I would imagine the Aberdeen v Livingston St MIRREN V Inverness Caledonian will be certainties, our game might be in the running to be shown live, I hope not as I do prefer watching us at 1500 hrs on a Saturday
  15. Tony was very enjoyable to listen to , but I must have missed the reason he was doing the co commentary was he injured or just not picked?
  16. GA still manages to avoid naming players still injured, obviously we can guess what players are still injured, but it would be nice for the club to give us an update on all injured players, even if Nolan exists!! Even in Robinson’s days we got occasional update on injured players, but it seems to be radio silence since Alexander took over!!
  17. Probably not the best location for my comments but didn’t want to start a new. Post, but it was nice to see that the old seating from the East stand are being installed at my local junior side Armadale Thistle, haven’t lived in Armadale for a lot of years but still follow their results, but I just thought that it’s a nice gesture by Motherwell to give them to the Dale.
  18. I listened to the Neilson interview and was very strange, he didn’t fill me with confidence listening to the interview and basically all he kept saying he just wanted Hearts to get over the line, I certainly wouldn’t like him to signing players for next season, actually the Hearts foundation guy said that he didn’t want Derek McInnes as the next Manager so maybe Robinson could be the ideal candidate if the get rid of Neilson!!
  19. Let’s hope the Brora result from last night will give them food for thought, as a Motherwell supporter we never consider a certainty of beating lower league opposition more so this season!!
  20. I still think Polwarth could do a job for us, the only worry is his attitude, I am GA will show him the door if doesn’t have the right attitude
  21. I voted for the three of them to be retained , but I would doubt Gallagher and SOD will sign again, the problem is who would you replace them with, we are supposed to be interested in Guthrie of Livingston but would you sign Magloire for next season, I would hope not but GA thinks there is a footballer in there which is worrying and just as a footnote is Dunne and Grimshaw still alive?
  22. I see Mr Wright moaning about Alan Burrows being in the technical area trying to talk to the 4th official, Tommy reckons he is not on any team sheet and shouldn’t be in the technical area!!
  23. I suppose it wasn’t a surprise, but apart from conceding the daft 1st minute goal, I thought we looked reasonable and more like scoring than Killie, BUT the second half we didn’t turn up and our defence will certainly give Alexander a chance to bring a few back namely Gallagher Mugabi for next game.
  24. Historically we do reasonably well at Rugby park so expecting some kind of result for us, but with Tommy Wright having two weeks with his players without a competitive game I would expect them come out fighting for their lives, mind you that might favour us as well (pardon the pun)
  25. Great servant to Motherwell, Liverpool and Scotland, sadly missed. I remember when he was manager for us saying he was disappointed at a league game not involving the ugly sisters were not getting 10,000 supporters...you can tell that was a long time ago!! RIP IanSaintJohn
