We have a 21 year old Carswell playing a holding roll in midfield who offers very little in creative/attacking football and yet we expect Lasley 35 year old to run all over the park to make things happen ????? Vigurs I agree lacks a defensive side to his game and can be infuriating watching him on the park and I don't think he was fully fit yesterday (ever) The midfield has been cut and changed constantly all season We have McCall and now Black a bad record playing players out of position in midfield especially and not giving youth a chance Yesterday we were lucky to take anything from the game.......and as mentioned by some other posters there seemed to be a total lack of interest/urgency commitment in the first half bearing in mind the new manager was sitting in the stand. We bring on the only player at the club with a bit of pace and surprise surprise we create a few chances and score....who again can be infuriating and it shows why he has had so many clubs and is at FP Again another late goal, which by my timing was scored over the 93rd minute, in aditional time added on by Gollum for the substitution in added on time by Black bringing on Cadden.........both Erwin and Cadden should have been on much earlier...... and how Sutton got a full 90 minutes again is a mystery to me.......

The Next Manager, Who Would You Want And Who Could We Get
Pettywulliegrew-2 replied to stuwell's topic in Club Chat
Correct Kilmarnock[edit] Calderwood was appointed manager of Kilmarnock on 14 January 2010, succeeding Jim Jefferies.[1] He agreed a contract with the club until the end of the 2009–10 season.[1] Calderwood managed to secure Kilmarnock's SPL status for another season, but left the club in the summer after disagreeing with chairman Michael Johnston about the player and coaching budgets.[6] -
Not funny at all !!!!!!!

No problem mate......just watched the low lights on the BBC As somebody mentioned .somewhere on this post the time and space the St J player had to put in the cross was a disgrace.......... schoolboy basics ! McCall should be ashamed of himself for blaming Erwin
-
What a game young Erwin had in midfield when he came on !

But going to elaborate for me on how Erwin for Law,is a pretty much a like-for-like swap in the middle of the park,.......... "Like for Like.".................why has Erwin being played up front ? Or is he now a midfielder????? Then why has he never started in midfield ?????.......that's right feck me how many games has he started ?????? Law was LEFT MIDFIELD...........NOT LEFT UP FRONT........Erwin is a forward......and this left the team unbalanced as Law played in midfield........ We started the game with Sutton a Forward Ojamaa a Forward Ainsworth a Forward. So when we put on Erwin a "forward" on for Law.........we had 4 four forwards on the park and it went tits up...... we lost a goal as we had not enough cover in midfield...unbalanced and never looked like winning the game after the initial substitution again did you think Henirk had a good game mate ???????.......replaced by Boab the shame
-
Yes......that's what cost us a point.......totally in/un balanced the team Erwin took up a "Central Position".................(Central fir park???) Centrally doing what ????? ..................Did it create anything???????? Can you say hand on heart that was the best swap that could have ben made at 0-0??? Other than damaging another young players confidence/morale playing him in an unnatural position .Ojamaa was" goosed" = (feckin shite/could not control a bag off sand) = Boab Thankfully you agreed It poses a question certainly as to why player were not consider for the correct position............Don Thomas in goals...............
-
Mate I agree it was a better performance........but you state that Law is no comfortable at left midfield player...n But that was the substitution that cost us a point.........Law for Erwin?????? A rookie at SPL footballer who plays up front has been handed a midfield role in our last 2 home games......why????? After that master stoke it was only a matter of time..........why not bring on Leitch ???? I fear the worst this season when McCall is constantly playing players in the wrong position/area
-
Mate the team was wholly in balanced by players playing out of position.....I'm not a McCall boo boy......but is plain too see the midfield were getting swamped.... with midfielders on the bench.....forwards dropping back trying to play midfield ..... ending up with no service to the forward(S)................ hence why in the last two games ........we have according to the stats we have no shots on target in the last two games (we have hit he bar and had a shot headed clear from inside the 6 yard box)
-
Not watched the highlights...........but Leitch was a bit like a man possessed when he was on the park !!!!
-
Agree mate.....beggars belief.........then put Erwin a guy who has made 2 starts a forward, put him in midfield.....when the bench was loaded with midfielders Someone else mentioned it earlier in this post......what would have happened if defender got injured......Gunnar at centre half.............Boab at left back ???
-
It could be worse...........remember this waste of money !!
-
Newcastle are as bad as us.........nothing on target
-
We did start with two "centre forwards".......Ainsworth was constantly in the right midfield....so we had three forwards on from the start.........against United we had two (centre)forwards on from the start with four midfielders........ Did you think this team selection worked yesterday mate ???????
-
From BBC Sport Quote Stuart McCall demands Motherwell improvement "Basic stuff we couldn't do," sighed McCall. "We couldn't pass from A to B. " Well Stuart if you start playing players in their natural position maybe they will start to get the basics right As soon as I saw the team sheet yesterday Sutton and Erwin starting....... I feared the worse......... Then to compound it with Ainsworth playing right midfield role .l.........when his greatest asset is his speed It was clear after a few minutes this formation was not working with Caley dominating the midfield. It was crying out for a midfield player to come on at the expense of one of the centre forwards........... But we get Ojamaa (unfit) on and Erwin playing right midfield WHY ???? when we had FOUR midfield players on the bench In all my time watching Motherwell I can not recall a game where we did not have a single shot on target...........
-
Gave me the fear when he played....... but will always love him for the silence of the lambs !!!
-
Now that's what ye call a Motherwell strip !!!!! Lovey wide band, white shorts and hooped socks My mum and dad used to live next door to St John in the old Thistle Street around this time
-
Have you been watching the last 3 seasons ?????????????
-
There ye go mate ...easy ain it mate from Mr McCall's interview........ Simple's xxxxxx.....
-
Rebound goal = 0 points ?????? Normal goal = ??? points ?????? Dear Dad /Family scored on my professional first team SPL debut........but shite it was a apparently a rebound...will do better ...if selected Well done Fraser Kerr..........won 3 points playing a defensive position
-
Exactly......all this cryptic pish....... ma brothers...half sisters ...lovers dad...etc told me !!!!! Post facts...not rumours
-
What's the minimum time you have to register a player before he can play ???
-
Some very valid points there mate........ Another line of debacles in the history of MFC..........potential to have the thousand s of Poles at FirPar filling the south stand/tv money etc etc blown away with what woud appear lack of match fitness and the mangers desire to try and defend a lead at both the home and away ties........
-
SSSSHHHHHHH don't let UEFA know........might get a retrospective sanction...........
