I actually think in proper claret & amber that could be quite smart!
Not one I would want to buy myself, but I think the team would look good wearing it and the youngsters will go mad for it.
Galatasaray 2020/21…….beat Forrest to it -
The new bespoke training gear for the first time in C&A………..wonder what Macron will give us for our new kits ?????
A hoop/ban/sash…….stripes as per the pre hoop 1924-28……..or a bland hoop less early 70’s
See our brothers in C&A haven’t opted for our bespoke C&A training gear……….looks like the same design template -

I could actually stomach some of the pumpings if they were offset by the occasional victory.
Unfortunately the gap between Selik and us and the rest of the Spl is only going to get even bigger next season when they spend another 20-30 million on players……..it annoys me the way the press are alluding to their manager being messiah who inherited a bunch of duds who had just won multiple trebles and has miraculously turned them round on a budget the rest of the league won’t spend in the next ten years combined
This is one of the poorest well sides I’ve had the misfortune to watch………. But on the bright side…..top 5 and 2 games in Europe……a few teams below us can only dream about

70k over 2 years is about 700 quid a week, not THAT much for a footballer…
It was £700 more per week that he was offered above our new deal ……..We offered Rudden £1000 per week ….getting 2 grand at Dundee

We offered him a new deal but Dundee blew us out of the water with their offer. If they have that kind of cash to throw about then that's up to them. Dundee never seem to learn lessons.
Apparently £70’000 ish over a 2 year deal……..no brainier for Lamie at his stage of his career

Why didn't we give Lamy a contract? Much better than either of the chuckle brothers at centre half,
Contract offered GA wanted him to stay……..unfortunately The Dee offered a far more lucrative 2 year deal…….same scenario with Rudden

If the powers that run Scottish football truly cared about the product that is the top league in Scotland, todays results would have them declaring an emergency board meeting tomorrow morning. The third and fourth place teams in the league being thrashed by the top two teams in the league with a gulf in quality and resource that is clear for all to see. The story is not new however and the powers that run the game in this country have proved unable or unwilling to do anything about it for decades.
I remember Brendan Rodgers (now one of the highest rated coaches in England) bemoaning the gulf in finance between Celtic and the teams like PSG and Barcelona that were regularly beating his side 5/6/7-0. He was made to look useless as a manager. In relative terms the disparity in finance between Celtic and Motherwell will be bigger than the disparity between Celtic and the top teams in Europe.
As fans we walk like zombies (at least I do) in to each and every Old Firm game with the delusion that this time it might be different. This time we might have a chance, despite the fact that history shows, that the chance is so small as to be almost negligible. Have a look at the league results against Rangers in particular over the last three decades. In the cold light of day the results make for grim reading.
The one shining light in the years of misery was the play off double. That result was all the more remarkable when taken in the context of the results prior and all results since. Like addicts we remember the hit and the high of those games and go back again and again for that illusive moment when we can replicate the feeling, knowing in our heart of hearts that the thrill of the chase is the only thrill we can realistically hope for.
Unfortunately you are 100% correct……..and again in the words of the songsmith Justin Currie
And nothing ever happens, nothing happens at all
The needle returns to the start of the song
And we all sing along like beforeThe media/tv etc etc pander to the ugly sisters needs

Sitting back and letting the current most expensive gathering of footballers in Scotland pass the ball out from the back and playing pretty passing games/1-2s/ tippy tippy wank boy football…..not closing down/ realising that we weren’t rectifying it …is shocking management/tactics…….could have easily surpassed and should have surpassed our record home defeat 0-7 unfortunately to these c@nts
i don’t think there is any Motherwell fan either in the ground/ didn’t bother to come/watching the game on tv thought we were going to get anything from this game after reading the team sheet prior to the game or 70 seconds when we should have been one down
GA has saved us from relegation last season, which is always my goal since the 80’s relegation……. Thankfully we have amassed 30 odd points this campaign and by teams being equal/ more shite than us recently we have clung on to 4 th place in the league, don’t see us maintaining that position for much longer and dread to think of the consequences of the next few weeks
Obviously the financial gap between ugly sisters and the rest of Scotland is and has been become massively uncompetitive for a number of years which our governing bodies don’t give a fu@k about as long as the blue and green hordes are happy
we had free hit today and tactically shat the nest with an unbelievable spineless performance on and off the pitch
forgot to mention our master class in attacking long throw-in’s……….WTF FFS!!!!!!!!

Obviously Celtic are better than us and if they turn up like they did in the first 45 on Wednesday we will get scudded, however....... they havent been at all consistent this season, even last Saturday they struggled to a 1-0 home win against a poor Dundee United.
After them finally putting in the performance, leathering Rangers and going top of the league, it wouldnt be that big a surprise for them to fuck up against us.
Would bite your hand off for a 1-1 right now....
I’m hoping for an Andy Lynch 1977/Skippy Sunday scenario……….they green masses seem to think they are closing in to another title and their new manager is a miracle worker turning a team of losers that had only won 3 trebles in 4 seasons,by only spending more than 15 million in the past 6 months……as Mr Keegan said I would love it ,love it ……..if we keep it to 0-3 tomorrow!!!
we live and hope …….SIWY

Ben Heneghan equaliser for the Wombles

Unfortunately think we will start will a similar line up/formation as on Tuesday
GA tactics seemed to work at the piggery in December until we fell asleep in first half added on time
On a bright note Connor Salmon scored against them a few weeks ago…….

As I posted on the former plays thread earlier this week……….
From Salary Sport website……..
Jake Hastie earns £5,100 per week, £265,200 per year playing for Rangers as a AM RLC, F C. Jake Hastie's net worth is £868,920. Jake Hastie is 22 years old and was born in Scotland. His current contract expires May 31, 2023.
Knowing his family background and very strong allegiances to the other side of Glasgow was surprised he signed at Greyskull
but on that money it’s a no brainier……..no mortgage at 22
Blinder indeed……..average full time wage for Uk in 2021 is apparently £31285………. Or would take average wage earner nearly 34 years to make what he could potentially make in his 4 year contract!!!!! FFS !!!!

Wonder what DUFC are offering TW…………don’t think it will be £5100 per week

We all talk of him being a one trick pony and that really was the case, he was going backwards before he even left us for Rangers and getting subbed off in games. I thought he would make Championship level but it’s now looking more like league one or two. It’s a shame but he’s not the first and won’t be the last to look amazing for a very short time before going backwards.

Vigurs scores the winner for Cove……..Jordan Archer hero as he saves 2 penalties as QPR win shoot out 8-7
-
Shaw signed a pre contract in March 2021……..when Kennedy (?) was in charge……so possibly Lennon had a say
He has started one game in midfield in Europe against Betis and was subbed 65 mins 9th Dec,then the last 10 minutes against St Midden 22nd Dec,and an un used sub the games in between (plus 2 league cup games for B team in Aug)
Their new manager has just brought in 2 Jap midfielders, and has given some youngsters a run in the first team/ let Henderson to Hibs…..hopefully he doesn’t fancy Shaw
GA seems to think he is a good signing……time will tell

Yes. But the problem is that we don’t win the headers. In that case zonal marking is useless.
Totally agree
Same with everyone in our box at opposition’s corner…….just inviting another attack if we clear the ball

Our inability to defend cross balls into our box costs us yet again.
Unfortunately that’s our managers tactics …..zonal defending……..let the crosses in and win the headers
