  1. And there lies the problem . People now starting to become disheartened with the whole well society project . I'm still paying my d/d but my patience is running thin now . Unless some movement forward in the right direction and people can see this is going to work am afraid to say that I can see a drop off in support for this cause . Hope am wrong but my gut feeling tells me different
  2. For whatever reason the majority of fans are just not buying into the well society . ive been in since day one as well a contributing like a few others by direct debit but as I say I came away from that meeting thinking for the first time this ain't working out the way it was meant too be . Not a lot of positives came out the meeting after the agm that night. I'm sure the well society board members are working flat out to keep it going and resolve issues with Les but in my opinion it looks like it's starting to unravel . Hope I'm wrong
  3. Went to agm in May and was a bit dissapointed as to the lack of positivity surrounding the well society coming from the top table particularly as Alan Burrows was on radio a few weeks before telling us what a wonderful opportunity it was for our club . I do however appreciate that Jim McMahon has the club at heart and won't sign up to a deal which would put the club in a dangerous position but I came away from the meeting wondering what Jim was really thinking . Think it's time for some honest and straightforward answers to some fairly straight forward questions like . (1) is this gonna be a good deal for the club (2) does the Mfc board still believe in it (3) are we considering other avenues of this fails and (4) did Les pull out as he felt it was a no goer . Think all society members deserve answers to these questions . I for one am starting to loose patience with the whole well society thing and beginning to seriously wonder if it's going to succeed . At present though and i can speak on behalf of a few members there is no feel good factor whatsoever and more and more people are becoming disgruntled/disillusioned by the day
  4. Looking at the the whole ownership thing although I'm a paid up member of the society if we had a choice between fan ownership and a rich preferably well fan owner then I would prefer the later . But the reality is nobody wants to buy smaller clubs in Scotland as it will cost you . Spoke to a chartered accountant about this and he said the last place he would advise any of his clients to invest in was a football club . So on that basis we have two choices . Wait and see if somebody wants to buy us (unlikely imo)or go with the well society . The choice is there's no choice . So on that basis lets get behind it and MAKE it work . No other alternative . So any body out there swithering/fence sitting don't over analyse it or beat itself up . Just sign up and join the party
  5. Agree with what Alan burrows said on radio that Les being involved has stopped people signing up as possibly in some fans thinking he was going to be there to bail us out when we needed it . In a way he's forced our hand now . So now it's over to us . My opinion for what it's worth is that there no plan b. This is the only option and I'm willing to let it play out and also play my part . For £5/month or £60/year to join I think that's very reasonably priced . I personally pay £10/month but am acutely aware that may be too much but a fiver ?!!!!. My hope is that the well fans come on board and a least give it a go . No other options that I can see
  6. Of course David like any other fan ur entitled to ur opinion and airing it . However my opinion is that ur views are utterly breathtaking. Your negativity is incredible . Am very grateful les came in at a difficult period in the clubs history and am happy to go with his plans and that includes the well society . Having spoke to various fans from Morton Dunfermline and believe it or not airdrie they would bit ur hand off to get someone like him in . It's easy to criticise but what is your option if u don't like this one . We got lucky with Les and time some people realised that . So come on get ur glass half full for a change .
  7. RIP Joe . A great man and a great footballer . A credit to your family and our great club . Forever remembered . Joe work new my father
  8. Good post and good idea .
  9. Yeah I agree . Things have become a bit blurred and it may be helpful to collate a few questions we could present to them so they could collectively give us some definitive answers . For this to work I believe it would need to be a collective statement from all of the three parties so we know as fans they are collectively all singing from the same hymnbook . From there I believe we could possibly kick on . I am still in favour of this project happening and believe it is a wonderfull opportunity . I know after speaking to st mirren and killie fans they would bite your hand off to secure there clubs future in this way if given the opportunity . We have this opportunity and I urge the board to work there socks off to convince people to join up . Find our level ? . No thanks . Ask St mirren Morton Dunfermline and even our friendly neighbours Clydebank fans if there happy the've found there level . Think I know what the answer might be and it ends in ...off !!!!!!
  10. Yeah it's the lack of clarity which is causing confusion and probably one reason why some people haven't joined up yet . Club/society/les need too clear all this up so fans are confident in the process . The Les interview last week has puzzled many fans . A joint statement / meeting would be helpful with a Q and A session afterwards .
  11. Here here good post . Am all for that
  12. Investment ? Certainly not . Investment and some kind of return ? Definitely not . But yes I agree more transparency required as we all seem to have our own ideas on how it will work or not as the case may be . Maybe if any society board member reads this they might like to consider a meeting with society and non society members as it's all getting a bit blurred . This article in the paper has given people more questions than answers and we need some clarification/transparency . Not having a clear simple message can potentially put people off . So if ur reading this it's over to you board ????!!!!
  13. Now been removed . It was an interview after his signing . Very strange !!!!!!
  14. It's on official website but in wrong place . It's on the after match craigan interview
  15. That's one for the well society but I'd imagine a few might join a few might leave . But one thing is for sure if we don't get to the initial target we'll never know or need to answer that !!!
  16. Interesting to read how people perceive the WS concept . For me it was never about any benefit or return on my investment of roughly £2.50/week to a football club . The way I see it is that firstly it's my football club , the club I've loved watching for 48years . It's certainly not a financial investment where I would hope for a financial return , that's what stocks and shares are for . For me it's one thing only . A way of helping my club out in a small financial way so others can enjoy the journey I've had and hopefully at the same time secure it's future . Unless someone tells me a better way to do this . For people who are still thinking about it all I would say is don't over analyse it . Just do it . If eventually you think it's not working then stop your D/D but a least give it a chance . Some people who are a bit reluctant say oh we just need to find our level . No thanks I've been there a few times . I like the level were currently at and I would think most fans are too .Reading some of the hysteria that came from some fans pre play offs it appears they don't won't us to find our level either . So all am saying is at least give it a chance to work ,forget benefits to you and help our club out not a club out
  17. Can anyone clarify the following point . Do we need 2000 adult members paying min of £10/month D/D on top of the original well society members who paid there £300 . By this I mean is the club banking on all the original members paying into the D/D scheme . The reason I ask is that a few original members are holding back on principal from paying until they see some more who are not involved so far putting there shoulder to the wheel so to speak . Personally I do both but I can also appreciate how they feel re other fans involvement or should I say lack of involvement . Also had a little chuckle after speaking to a Celtic fan this week . He said to me that they have fans who want more but board who do not match there ambitions . Seems like the opposite in our case . Strange old game !!!!!
  18. Agree the tone of the article could be a bit more positive and encouraging . However this is the reality that we face . We have our destiny in our own hands right now . We either grab it by giving the club £10/month (the equivalent of one cup of coffee a week) or we don't bother and accept the consequences thereafter . Simple choice . Having watched us all my days I know where I want my club to play and be in Scottish football . It's make ur mind up time now guys but don't think there's many other Les Hutchisons out there who will give us this opportunity again . Personally I think we need to make the effort to make sure this works if Motherwell FC
  19. Well done to Lianne and co. for listening and acting on the survey and getting past the ruling which now allows many more fans an affordable way to join the well society. This might just be the catalyst required to kick start the society membership after it seemed to level out after a good start. As a result of this my son and I are now signing up for the next level and my daughter is also signing up for the first time. Couldn't think of a better way to protect the club for us and future generations so really happy with this decision
  20. Providing we can learn from the two Panathanaikos games with regards to rash challenges around our box and a naiveity of being caught on the break at both home and away legs, I reckon we will do OK on Thurs. Panathanaikos was a massive learning curve but at the same time both of the games we played OK and this should stand us in good stead for the Levante tie.
  21. my biggest concern is how it will affect the players. after all the bullshit he's spouted over the last couple of days then shat on us....... worse than mcghee ever did!
