  1. McManus was presented to the media on Monday night. No?
  2. Pretty sure any deal we have offered Faddy will be on his terms and will include a release clause should a club that meets his aspirations comes along. I have no problem with that given that we cant really afford him and are lucky to be getting this chance. Would love to see him playing thru the centre off Sutton with Vigurs supplying the ammunition.
  3. Strange starting selection with Hutch and Cummings pairing up in front of Hollis. We already know they arent the greatest partnership from last season so to put them together in front of a keeper trying to find his feet didnt do Hollis any favours. Third goal was a real howler though. Looked much more solid at the back when Ramsden moved into the middle with Hutch and Kerr to right back. Nielsen looks a more confident keeper as well, although it is still early days. Lawson was tidy. Vigurs impressed. Carsewell was more impressive than Lasley but we know what both can do. I would be happy to give ZFA the left mid slot right now. His pace and width changed the game when he came on. Thought Anier worked away without doing anything overly spectacular. Not sure him and McHugh are a good fit. Seem too similar to work as a partnership. The other Trialist did ok. Smashing piece of skill to put the pen away. He might be worth a punt......
  4. Its all shaping up very nicely. Even if we were to sell Hutch I wouldnt be overly concerned as we now have very able replacements. Just need Faddy sorted and a nippy wide man and we will be good to go! Of course any bonus signings will be gladly accepted but really pleased with the quality so far.
  5. I'm genuinely excited by the signings Stuart McCall has already made and looks like making. Of course, none of us knows how any of them will turn out. However, given the fact that the majority of our better players have left and we seem to have replaced most of them with what appears to be similar quality for less money, has left me delighted. Just give us the icing on the cake Stuart. Go on.......
  6. There is a big difference between your pants being wet and moist.......
  7. Definitely felt the hectic schedule hurt us at the start of last season. Difficult for players to peak 3 times in 7 days and we had to do it twice. We dont have a big enough squad to rotate so missing a league game in between Euro ties might be advantageous for us. Its shit but unsurprising that Celtic can be excused for a friendly but we cant be excused to give us a better chance in Europe.
  8. Peter was a mainstay in the 70's team I grew up watching as a kid. My memories are of those blonde locks flowing as he marauded out of defence with the ball or crunched into tackles. Hard but fair. RIP Peter.
  9. The T has arrived on the Ayrshire Riviera! Looks cracking. Well done Bois. Hope they raised a decent amount.
  10. Delighted with this signing. Got a couple of mates from Dingwall. They reckon we have a great player. "Silky and weighs in with some goals". Sounds like thats Laws position covered. Looking forward to future announcements. Hopefully before the weekend. Faddy Faddy Faddy Faddy.......
  11. Henrik at Dortmund. That would be something!
  12. This would disappoint me more than any off the players we have lost so far. Not because I thought we could hold onto him, more because I thought if he did leave it would be to a much bigger club. Hope its not true.

Sad to see Henrik go. Made a real impact in a very short space of time. Wish him all the best. Whats Polish for "There's a new Sheriff in town" ?
  14. Vigurs is a smashing player. Think he would be a great addition to our squad but given we have signed Lawson and already have Lasley and Carswell in place, not sure another central midfield player is a priority?
  15. Looks pretty decent. Concrete isnt any uglier than breezeblock!
  16. All the best to Chris Humphrey at Preston. Hopefully he continues to work hard and develop his game and gets an even bigger move. Then we can all proudly say, I remember when he played in the Champions League for Motherwell......
  17. Cant wait to go on holiday for 2 weeks. By the time I get back it will all be done a dusted!
  18. Absolute belter! Would buy that without hesitation. Think it works for us as we have the claret band anyway so the sleeves dont look ridiculous.
  19. Absolutely delighted for Stevie Hammell but this is ten years too late. Place should have gone to a younger player. It hasnt though, so hope he plays and does himself and Motherwell proud. As for the greatest, there can be only one.......
  20. Any chance I'll get mines for my hols? Flying out 22nd June.
  21. We are in the 3rd qualifying round. We need to win this tie AND the 4th qualifying round (play off round) to get into the group stages. If we get a decent draw the first one is possible, the second part is a HUGE ask.
  22. We are ALL a little ginger inside. Stuart McCall's ginger army!
  23. On the whole I think it looks pretty good. I like the Fir Trees and the 'Craig design is much better. Our nickname is the Steelmen so would like to keep that. Not sure about the ball. Not sure if its the white or the older style ball. Think the font looks fine, but would love to see what it looks like with the font off of the 125th anniversary shirt. Dont know how long these things take UBH, could you rattle off some alternatives with folks suggestions? Could have a poll to find a winner!
  24. I would take Rosenberg. The Lerkendal is a decent stadium and Trondheim is a smashing place to visit. Loads of nice pubs/restaurants. Bit expensive but would be a cracking trip. Its a long way from Oslo mind you!
