CLARET & AMBER CHRISTMAS PARTY
12th December 2009, 7.30pm
DAVIE COOPER SUITE
STARRING Motherwell FC's JIM O'BRIEN
Along with SURREAL KNIGHTS & THE BANTER THIEFS
Supported by our talented barmen
Jamie & Sean MacIntryre
Plus Melting Pot DJs
TICKETS £10 – INCLUDES CHRISTMAS BUFFET
Sounds a braw night, but just a couple of questions;
Are THE BANTER THIEFS ghouls?
And with it being a CLARET & AMBER CHRISTMAS PARTY, will the big furry bears actually be there? I only ask coz I'd shag anythin with a couple of beers in me, and want tae know if it's worthwhile bringin a bearskin jonny. Don't fancy riskin goin bear-back...
-
Crackin idea that. But everyone knows bottled beer is for poofs and wummin.

Just back, not the greatest of games, 3 points away
Ref was fecking shocking !
Ruddy made couple of outstanding saves in a meele !
Away ya whore ye!!! Quick recovery from yer swine flu?!

Right! no more of this keep a level head thing. lets for once look positive, think positive and act positive. we need to keep this run up. Confidence is obviously brimming at the club, so why shouldn't we enjoy it and say - YES WE CAN beat any other team in this league and go and have a stonking season like we did back in 95. lets get intae them.
'Mon the 'Well.
Sexy Talk!

Is that... Hair gel?

...the Jaxx on my home top is now totally gone...
You'll go blind with all that jaxxing off!

...Scunny or on holiday...
There is no difference...
Fair play to Jimbo for playing on air. One thing playing in front of your mates, but to play 'live to the nation' takes a bit of bottle. Think it's becoming a popular time-passer on the team bus as well.
Talkin of the Team itself, has anyone heard of the 'Good' & 'Bad' boys clubs within the 1st team??? All I know is that Marky Reynolds is definitely a Good Boy

How-do Rammer? x
Think it was a song his uncle had written. Was pretty excellent actually! Heard he had the guitar out at Craggs golf do last Monday as well. He clearly enjoys a good strumming...

Like most have said, every kid is different. My wee boy's had a season ticket since he was 4 (he's now 7) and has been hooked since day 1. Wish I had the cash to take him to away games as well, because it's an absolute pleasure sharing the pain & glory of the Well with him.
Get Diane or Leeann to watch the bairn for the 90 minutes, they do eff-all on match days anyway.

...Tannoy guy spitting dummy out was icing in the cake.
Come on now Mr Humper... Are you seriously tryin to suggest that if there was a Dummy, Cake and Icing within Fir Park that it would have been anywhere other in the Fat Farmers big rid Face?

Bobby Russell at Parkhead in '89...
Is that the one that he sent the whole Sellick the wrong way with a shimmy, and Mick McCarthy on the line diving like a big lassie in desperation to stop it??? Total Quality.
-
Canny wait for this one. Canny wait to get back to Fir Park. Canny wait for wee Dougie to pour me a pint in the Cooper. Canny wait tae break open the new Season Tickets and meet up wae the troops again. The wee man's right up for it too, I fully expect the "who's that player dad" for at least the first 88 minutes.
Right up for this one.
Did a mention that a canny wait?
Forecast? Oh, 0-2 no doubt!
-
Aye, but it was a pleasant drive up!
That was one of our better away jaunts!
Certainly the last one I've ever been allowed in the drivers seat!

Nov 1st, 1997
Saint Johnstone 4 Motherwell 3
I managed to miss 3 goals in that game! Late in coz I couldn't get parked until I eventually abandoned it at a car showroom. Not long in the ground then heard the dreaded "Would the owner of car regestration number...'. Moved the car, ran(ish) back to the ground, took ages to get back in. Went for a slash later on and missed another. Hey presto, 3 goals missed.
Had to sit in my special quiet place that night

Foran's late, late penalty winner up at Invershneckie sparked wild celebrations amongst the few of us who were there as well.
Sparked a right we roar in the Horseshoe Bar in the town as well! Although it quickly became evident that maself and PettyWulliegrew were the only 'Well fans in the gaff...

This thread would not be complete without mentioning John Philliben's injury time equaliser in the Scottish Cup at Tannadice - 1994 if I recall. Shame we lost the replay - but when Softy scored it was pandemonium.
Stuart.
I'd forgotten that one... Utter bedlam!
Viva Philliben.

Kilmarnock - Won 1-0 Clarkson 90th
One of my most favouritist goals ever... If only to see big Farmer Rid Face nearly exploding in the Killie dug-out.
Actually enjoyed that more than a 6 or 7 nil pumping of them. Would settle for any one of those results on Sat!

If we can keep a clean sheet in the second half and nick an away goal i will be delighted
And I will be insisting on a drugs test on you!
-

BBC Live Text Updates shows 65% possession for 'Well!!! Are they fuckin steamin?
Childbirth canny be a patch on this pain.

Nah, not for me... No picture, I must be missing a plugin.
Damn this fuckin work laptop.
Can't stand listening to the foreign commentary... I'll just walk round the hotel room and hit refresh every 15 seconds.

And after all the love he received at Fir Park as well!
I don't mind the wee man at all and quite like listening to him, more so than many of the fannies that have some how landed a job with the media. As for his predictions, who really gives a flying fuck?
But more importantly, I've heard on the grapevine that he's a decent fella and has nothing against us.
