  1. I was down in Rothesay on Sunday and watched the game in the Galatea - it's a Celtic haunt, but I generally go there to watch the Well if I happen to be there and a game's on. Seen a couple of well fans watching on a couple of occassions, albeit they may have been visiting. Think it's AllyMax who's from Rothesay or Port Bannatyne, and he may give a different shout, but according to the wife, who's a Brandane, most places are Buns pubs. Wherever you go, hopefully you'll enjoy MON RA DOSSERS
  2. Checked the web site again, and it does indeed suggest that entry will be via the voucher, but I can't believe for a minute that the club won't clarify this and season ticket holders will use a voucher in their books. I was amongst the first group to leave the East and even at that stage the stewards were saying that season ticket holders did not need a voucher for the rearraged game. As it turns out, I'll be away on the 7th, but I certainly wouldn't be chuffed if I was told I needed to pay. MON RA DOSSERS

    Bluster

Spot on ! Said it before and it doesn't get any less relevant - the Squirm will beat us more times than we'll win, but at least go down fighting. I'm not a nipper, and games against the Twosome have brought many a disappointment, but at least I've felt we've given our best in many of them. Hell, we've even managed to throw up some upsets along the way by having a go. It was mentioned round about me yesterday that it looked like a training game for them, and that wasn't far off the mark - our ethos seems to be we're happy to invite teams to have a go at us, but I'm of a view that we can't do that against better teams, as they will pick you off at some stage. In saying that, the number of times we were under pressure from a simple long ball straight up the park was concerning. Big Higdon did ok up front, but Murph plays so deep, and Humph just hugs the touchline if he is in a forward position. Not to throw on Ojamaa or McHugh yesterday just signaled to me that it was damage limitation from half time. Also heard SMcC's interview after the game, and can only assume that he was trying to take some of the flak away form ourselves - Smellic were good, but defensively, they won't have a easier game all season. Next Saturday is a big big day as far as I'm concerned, and as well as getting a result, it be nice to see us with the bit between our teeth, cos after yesterday's mauling for Utd, SMcC is going have to be very positive and make sure we're up for it MON RA DOSSERS
  4. Agreed in the past the Squirm have had stronger squads than us, but I don't accept the Buns team on Wednesday were stronger or better than us - McCoist had them pumped up with a point to prove, and we let them. The Great Unwashed today are undoubtedly a stronger team, but we need to play like the Buns did on Wednesday Accept the point about beating the Squirm and not doing so well in the league, but surely we should be playing every game with a belief that we can win - that will be the message that's given to the team, but we should be saying it publicly - talk the talk in other words Whatever way you look at it, the fans are the life blood of any club, but even more so for ours in the current climate - we were all down after Wednesday, but talk positive and the atmosphere is built up again - what we don't want or need, is for the crowd as a whole to be flat today - contrary to what I posted on the Smellic thread, come the start of the game, I'll be ready for it MON RA DOSSERS
  5. As a couple of you have said, we're going to have to be in their faces from the off, as I see this as our only hope of getting something - kinda clinging on to the hope that my pessimism will come back and bite me on the arse, and nobody will be happier than me if that's the case. Been away on a weeks holiday, so didn't make the Sheep, but I thought we were poor for a large part of the game at Dens, with Ojamaa giving us a bit of spark when we needed it, but bitterly disappointed watching the Buns game on TV - defensively, we seem to switch off at important times, and teams don't have to work too hard to score ala Dundee, Aberdeen, Buns In addition, I used to give my Dad pelters as he gave Stevie Woods dogs abuse in just about every game, and as much as I want Chris Humphrey to prove me wrong by turning in a solid game, I find I'm increasingly on his back as I reckon he's a luxury we can't afford - the guy has pace to burn, but he just doesn't do anything like enough to warrant a start in most games - and how many goals do we lose as a result of him losing the ball - so far I'd agree that Daley hasn't put Humph under any great pressure for his place, but at least he was getting involved on Wednesday Anyway rant over, c'mon the Humph and the Dossers, and lets at least play with a sense of pride for our club - if we get beaten, at least go down fighting MON RA DOSSERS
  6. Quite possibly the worst performance I've seen us turn in in a long long time, but still gutted to lose the goal as late as we did, although if the roles were reversed, we'd say we more than merited the draw - the Midden's movement was far superior to ours today, and I'm only thankful that they played without strikers ! IMO we're need to be way more aggressive in our forward play, and I don't mean crunching tackles, but I assume it's just not going to be SMc's favored option. In fairness, SMc knows the player's capabilities more than me, but if I can offer my tuppence worth, get Jamie Murphy off the wing and either up front with Higdon or Ojamma, or as a link between the midfield and the strikers. The midfield work hard, but all too often, there doesn't seem to be a forward option that will hurt the opposition. Going to stop - 'Er Indoors has just said 'at least you didn't lose' MON RA DOSSERS
  7. Heading up on Friday night - hopefully the 2nd part of a cracking week Just my luck in some ways though, as I always enjoyed going to away games on the bus (as long as you head back with a result !!) Too late in getting my ticket for tonight, so in the Cooper, so you enjoy and I'll hopefully see you guys on Saturday. MON RA DOSSERS
  8. Looking to get RC tickets when I'm through tomorrow - I assume we'll be given the full end behind the goal which should be take us all, but any ideas on the away sect capacity and any indication of what numbers it's reckoned we'll take up ? MON RA DOSSERS
  9. & hopefully some news re prices and\or tickets MON RA DOSSERS
  10. Yep but why oh why he didn't just wrap his left foot into the ball after rounding McGregor ..... Had a great game up front with Murphy though ! What a difference when we pass the ball about. MON RA DOSSERS
  11. Just spoke to Jade in the ticket office who confirmed the club are selling tickets this morning right through till KO (bearing in mind you'll need to build in travelling time to get there) If we're selling our tickets at FP, I can't see any being sold at the ground. MON RA DOSSERS
  12. Know where you're coming from, and normally I'd agree, but in their 'last' game in at Castle Greyskull in their original guise, I'm fairly confident of getting a result and upsetting any thoughts they have of celebrating their bigoted existence. No doubt I could be well off the mark, and we turn in another OF performance, but I live in hope it'll change sometime, and why not today MON RA DOSSERS
  13. You cancelled that holiday yet MON RA DOSSERS
  14. Jambo workmate told me this morning that Beattie is out of tonight's game - a real bonus if it's true, though it might bring that twat Skacel in to the reckoning if he isn't already. MON RA DOSSERS
  15. Looking forward to this one - don't know why, but I like going down to their lego effort. I've no doubt it will be a close game, but see no reason why we can't come away with a result as long as we apply ourselves correctly - as for the team, thought the 3 young lads where superb yesterday, and none of them deserve to lose their place in the team, but it's still a big prize we're after, so sense tells me that we have to play our strongest team when they're all fit and available, and this would probably put Clancy and Hutch back in. Times like this I'm glad it's SMcC's shout - and whatever he goes with will be good enough for me. As for today, well done Killie for giving us a right good laugh at the 'We are too good for this country' Munchers, and I sincerely hope Kelly's Dad is ok MON RA DOSSERS
  16. Totally pisses me off big style that these inept twats can can be complete buffoons game after game but they never seem to be called to task over crucial decisions, never mind the consistently poor performances (for both teams) during games. Our game is heading down a massive black hole !! MON RA DOSSERS
  17. Blethering to a Pars neighbour this morning, and it came accross that he\they are quietly confident - he reckoned that getting Turner in, centre half back from injury, and the wee bawbag Kerr in midfield has added a fair bit of steel to his team. He did admit Saturday may have been a one off, but he did say they defended well and could taken more goals from Killie. With this in mind, I can see tonight being another game with them sitting in and looking to punish us on the break. Whatever, I still believe the game will turn on whether we take our chances or not - not that I think we'll score a few, but getting a couple of goals will certainly lift some of the pressure (read negativity). All in all, I'm also quietly confident about tonight MON RA DOSSERS
  18. A lot of the reasons for the small turnout are listed above, and January is one long fecker of a month, but regardless of what month it is, I'll be at very few away games as it simply costs too much money, This has been lauded time and again, but until those in the 'know' do something about the cost of getting in to games, the days of big away supports are all but dead. It doesn't seem that many years ago that Hibs & Hearts would be close to filling the South stand, and the likes of the Sheep & Killie used to bring healthy crowds, but every club is finding that the away supports are decreasing. Having said that, power to you all who travel week in week out MON RA DOSSERS
  19. +1 Everything seems negative at the moment, and the media just love an opportunity to jump on the bandwagon and take us to task. Let's get right behind all things C&A tonight, and all else can get it right roon 'em !! :yahoo: MON RA DOSSERS
  20. Agreed, and fair point about Jeffers. A big difference for me last night, was the nature of how we played - constant balls from back to front like Saturday, only has Higdon alienated and figting for 50\50 balls - when we play through the team, we look a much more dangerous outfit. We didn't get to our position in the league by hopeful punts up the park. MON RA DOSSERS
  21. Lots of plaudits for the guys in the match thread, so not being ignored - as I mentioned there, keep it up cos I'm sure it's starting to spread, slowly but surely, down the stand. A good number join in with the Keith chant (easy one I know !), but it's a start MON RA DOSSERS
  22. Amazing how we all see the game slightly differently with regards to players, but without doubt, last night was a huge improvement on Saturday. Thought the team, after the initial 20 mins of the game, suddenly got their act together and played well, but we are killing ourselves with mistakes defensively, and not getting players in the box when it matters. I actually thought Clancy had a good game last night, but there's no doubting that when teams have the opportunity to put pressure on the defensive partnership, we look vulnerable. As for the attacking side, felt Higdon had a cracking game, and Humphrey came on to a really good game, and put in some quality balls (as did Daley when he came on). My gripe is that when these balls into the box are delivered, more often than not, Higdon is the sole player that's in the box, with at least a couple of defenders to deal with. I know from playing and now coaching teams, that we try and reinforce the idea of an attacking player moving to the front post area, with others attcking the middle\back post area. Are my ideas firmly in the past (seems so ). Still mightily impressed with Nicky Law, but time to work hard in training on getting the finishing shot away with purpose. Last night he got himself in great positions, but he almost seemed to take stage fright when it came to pull the trigger. I appreciate getting the ball in the net is a skill in itself, but if he could only finish the good work he sets up. Well done Randolph for standing up and being counted when it mattered - credit also to Mark Brown who kept Hibs in the game when needed. Finally, massive well done to the guys up the end of the East stand - after seeming quietish on Saturday, you were all immense last night - was it my imagination, or is the buzz slowly spreading along the East stand MON RA DOSSERS
  23. A neighbour's a Pars man and was talking to him on Monday about this weeks game - he isn't overly confident as he reckons they haven't been playing particularly well, and have looked better away from home. As for beating Utd, he said they had one shot at goal and scored !! However, Dunfermline isn't a place I've seen us do that well at, and I do remember the roasting they gave us the season they got relegated. For that game alone, I hope we're up for it, and get tore in from the off MON RA DOSSERS
