  1. Spot on.....GANNON GETS MY VOTE. Gannon came to the club and he changed things, regardless on how long a player had served at the club, he brought the youngsters through and gave them a chance, the only downside for him was he dropped Craggs and did not rate Lasley... so neither of them played, and to be honest we done ok, but without those keys players onside they spread discontent amongst the players and the backroom staff... untimately leading to his demise... if given the cheque book i would be signing him no questions asked... thats of course if he signed the contract. That would signal the end for Craggs and Lasley.... but the doors would open for the young talent that should be playing week in week out. Playing safe with team selection is causing us to faulter,Brown and Archy got away with it... but they knew it wouldnt last hence there financial departure.
  2. Overall team performance was poor.......Lasley gave 100% but im affraid for all that effort the only thing he managed to achieve was the goal line clearance, but on the balance He must get the vote.
  3. Hateley was indeed ill, but he gave it a go because it was Rangers... i think the lad is a good player who like mentioned before plays where the boss wants him.... Rangers were not great today, but when Hateley went off they took over the match... i would keep him in the team as he contributes most games... and we have seen what happens when he is replaced.
  4. Pretty much agree with most of the Threads.....none had decent games.... Lasley was average with little end product, but to be fare he was made to look alot better than he was. The Defence was below par (yet again) i have mentioned in past threads that Craggs needs a break, but in his defence the rest were not much better. No creativity in midfield. No fight. No Pride. No Support. (Players that is) @ least three mistakes causing three goals.... no make that four mistakes causing four goals. Its not Youngs fault, the blame lies solely with the players, on the day they came up against a better team that actually took pride in there performance in front of the cameras. How do we improve... introduce Fitzy for the Celtic match. And i would even have Page playing if both or either play they will give you 100 % and that can only be better than the limp wristed 15% given by the first eleven yesterday. Murphy- has the ability and showed once or twice what he could do, but the effort being shown from across the park then wore off on him and faded out of the game. Lasley- lots of huff and puff with nothing at the end of it but for effort 100 %. Humphrey - Had a quite one again today, they doubled up on him and pretty much closed all the space down the flanks, with Lasley in midfield as the only play maker it showed, as his passing lacks accuracy and without that you have no space to run into. Defence as a whole- overall the defence lacked composure and if i am honest it looked like Rangers would score every single attack, we needed to get the boot in early on and not give them the Red carpet treatment, which they happily trotted down on a regular basis. Blackman- Didnt show up for the game today, maybe he knew it would be his last game at Fir Park, couple of touches that were sussed out early... then lost his confidence and like Murphy and Humphrey drifted out of the match. The players mentioned are the players that win us or lose us the match... not at the races today. role on Celtic match and lets hope they perform better for the fans next time out.
  5. Bring back Jim GANNON, At least we know that he will drop Craigan....to concentrate on his coaching badges. Joking aside would pretty much take anyone really other than the bunch mentioned on the thread, why dont we have a punt on Paul TROLLOPE...just lost his job at Bristol Rovers... more or less the same standard as Motherwell.. he will have some good contacts in the lower leagues which we will need come JAN 2011.
  6. Pretty pants all round last night if im honest, at least Hearts never scored a goal in open play, awfull defending at times and poor decision making pretty much cost us last night. To be honest Hearts were not as good as everyone was making out, when it was One One, i honestly thought we would go onto to win the match, Hearts have distroyed everyone they have played lately but that was not the case last night it was pretty even untill Browns cousin (The Ref) has other ideas. Still no worries, try and get it sorted for Aberdeen sat, that match would be (Priceless) my thoughts on last night would be Poor all round, you get the odd game when one or two players are off there game, but last night it was pretty much everyone. Team selection for Sat match is now pretty straight forward now, i fear for Jennoe as they will use him as a example of the new tougher regime. On that front i thought the ref was going to do a Di canio sketch and fall over after that massiv shove from the massive Jennings!
  7. Below par performance had by all, HATELEY got my man of the match, best i have seen him play this season, great challenge denied what would of been another hearts goal. most of the rest huffed and puffed with no edge. Well done Hateley at last!
  8. And it begins... Sorry no bite from me eddie.......Best get your boots on then
  9. Do you know what Joe90 you might be right. I forgot about Blackman.
  10. Seems to be plenty of negativity around these threads... now more than any other time would be the ideal time to ram what a massive mistake Bonnie and Clyde have made by leaving the club. All out attack in front of the cameras, all players out to impress, i can only see a home win.... Hearts have not changed since the last game just had a few good results... we will win. Not even tight 3-0 to the Well.
  11. With Bonnie and Clyde allias(Brown and Archie) Committing there future to Motherwell It is quite obvious that in Aberdeen they have an enormous task ahead of them, it is clear that they will need investment in players very soon (Jan 2011), whats the chances of the old snakes snatching some of the talent we have here at Motherwell...... A Famous quote springs to mind from that the lovable Monica LEWINSKI stating! I did not have sexual intercourse with the President Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb have added there own version. (Our agents have not contacted the Board at Aberdeen and let me make it clear me and my colleague not number two are more than happy at Motherwell, after all they gave us our chance) So who will join Lewinski and OJ Simpson at Aberdeen........Murphy undoubtedly the love child of Brown (Rat) .... or even Murphy who was always going to be on the invitation list..... or would they try and price Humphrey away with promise of bigger wages.... interesting period awaits, watch this space.
  12. First real (Six) Pointer of the season... in front of the Sky cameras. Have a good feeling about this one, Hearts are sat on a little bit of form, but the Well have more than enough to over power a somewhat weaker defence. Lots at stake other than the obvious points, few players mentioned on previous threads will be playing for (Moves) in and around the 2011 season, lots to look forward to and an interesting encounter lies ahead. Both teams full of confidence and a bumper 4 thousand crowd I would go for the same team that started last match, early goal will set the scene for the rest of the game. Key man; Blackman and the space he will find. Defence must hold strong and put to bed the mistakes that have been made in recent weeks, going forward other than the top two... arguably we are the best of the rest on the attacking front. Prediction Motherwell 3- Hearts 1
  13. TuT Tut LadywellToi.....Not HUMPHREY ya MA!
  14. The Capitals is a Police thing... and the spelling is a Tartan Copper 2 thing! Wellfan1984 Danke!
  15. PC PROTECTIVE.....Waits with baited breath for the onslought that is imminent!
  16. More often than not, its not the winger alone that creates his own space, yes from time to time as shown by HUMPHREY he can make his own space by useing his (Genetic) speed as stated above, but in games that are tight and messy he will need the space creating for him with classes touches, well weighted through balls, not as is most cases long hopefull balls over the top in the hope of getting in behind (Craggs) 200 yard crowd splitting passes. The Celtic game early in the season was the only game where there was no space in behind the left back, this was due to a few factors, mainly the left back had a little bit more up top than your average SPL left back..and is arguebally of international qlty, we were overun in midfield and had no time on the ball, when the return match happends these issues will have been sorted, HUMPHREY is now coming inside and his (one trick pony) skills seem to work week in week out so why use anymore of them. Watch his game, watch his touches, you might actually see there is more to his game than PACE, but as stated many times whether he bought the Pace, or he found the Pace the fact is that there is knowone in the SPL or many other leaugues that come anywhere near his pace, his touch is improving, his final ball is improving, his positional play is improving, overall i am happy with his progress and to state that he is knowhere near Scotland level is suggesting that Scotland our a classy outfit, we all know that we are knowhere near classy... If Humphrey played against the Faroes he would of done the same to them as he does to every left back in the SPL....every week. Humphrey will be in the next Scotland squad whether or not he has the backing of his doubters. The last eight or so matches it has been stated by radio and TV pundits he has been unplayable at times..When i started this thread on HUMPHREY and MURPHY, i believed in these young lads we have some outstanding footballers with the potential to go all the way for club and Country, why do we have to find fault with them, as long as people highlight there negatives, i will continue to support there positives. In HUMPHREY we have a player who has improved beyond recognition, to this we have to thank GANNON for believing in him in the first place and Browny and Archie for developing him.
  17. If he goes to a higher level, he will do the same there, PACE... will beat most left backs, and with the extra qaulity at the higher level they will be able to use him to his max... creating the space which he will use effectively. Dont worry he will make it at the next level.
  18. Well said that man, i am of the same opinion not seen much as regards wingers in the SPL that come near him, only seen one left back who has had the better of him and that was Celtic guy, and i am sure he is an international, but now HUMPHREY has hit some form even that will be a different battle all together next time round, people keep mentioning HUMPHREY non ability and lack of skill, last weekend he showed the skill he really has which is bourne by his confidence at the moment, his turn on the edge of the box and shot ~(be it over the bar) was out of this world, if that would of went in we would of been talking about it for the rest of the season.
  19. Good answer mate, thats my point exactly.. cant afford to lose either of them, as stated before you cant buy PACE.... Priceless in fact, a valuable comodity (not sure on spelling)..which many cant afford. And very difficult to replace.
  20. Yea your right Eddie, his final ball is pants! only prob set up eight goals this season,,, putting it on a plate for them... ye lets put him on the bench.. Grrr
  21. Before i get slated about sticking up for HUMPHREY Your prob right FINLAY, maybe they would not fit in the OF but the fact is that there sniffing about in the first place, there lots still to come from these two as you are aware, and again i agree that Championship is where they will end up sooner rather than later.. but i would still like to see them stay at the Well of course.
  22. Overated....Come on Eddie... he has been on fire
  23. It is believed that one of the top two in the SPL are interested in the services of our pacey wingers HUMPHREY and MURPHY. Unconfirmed reports suggest that both our wingers are on the radar of One of the elite two in the SPL, both players have been watched throughout October and November during arguably there best runs of form since being at the club. Can we keep both wingers at the club past JAN 2011. This is worrying as these players are the backbone of the team in the attacking sence, also yet to be confirmed is that a number of Championship teams are linening up bids for both players come JAN 2011, with the list growing everyday, it is also believed that scouts watching Reynolds have switched there attentions to the eye catching performances of our flying wingers. WATCH THIS SPACE... MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
