  1. We all know Turnbull was going to be sold at some point.

We all know he is destined for bigger things.

We all knew the money was going to break records.

However it is utterly galling to lose him to one of the arse cheeks. Especially after losing Hastie to the other arse cheek.

Their superiority complex and constant lording over us is just going to get worse and watching him in the green and grey hoops will make me sick.

Hopefully with the club releasing this statement it’s a rallying call to some English clubs to up their game and bid the right money. If they do he will go south with all of our best wishes.

Jake hastie been chipped out on loan next season by the looks of things. Also noticed a Sunderland page saying they are interested in cedric kipre, not sure if that is a step back?

No shock re Hastie was always going to happen.

Kipre I am surprised at. He was an ever present for Wigan until the end of the season. Plus there fans where fond of him.

In terms of level it’s a step back obviously in leagues but in size of club it certainly isn’t. Sunderland will have to spend a bit of cash to get him, some of which would come our way.

  3. That’s a move for him I could get behind.

No to Celtic & Barnsley but Bournemouth definitely. Have a cracking manager and are not scared to play British youngsters.

I don’t want him to leave and hope we could get another season, purely selfish as I would watch him play keepy uppy in a phonebox and still enjoy it, however when he does I would hope it’s a good move to help him progress.

Knowing that a lot of members  have been frustrated in the past , about missing email communications,

here's a direct invite  to check if you received an important membership contributions update recently . If not , take the chance to correct or supply your preferred email contact info

I was actually just thinking about this recently as I have had nothing from the Society for long long time.

Been a member for a good few years aswell. Couldn’t tell you how much I have contributed.

  5. I’m with Andy P on this.

I like Main and think since Jan he’s put in a right good shift without scoring the goals you would expect. As a loan striker in the formation we played he was crucial to our good performances in the work rate, hold up and link play.

However he can be a proper handful and I’m not overly excited in him coming to Fir Park in the red of the Dons.

I’m not normally one of these guys but I think this is a stick on for a goal against us.

Lewis Macleod released by Brentford, surely have much bigger suitors than us but someone well worth looking at, fits the bill of injured and getting his career back on track.

If we could afford him that would be a tremendous signing but I fully expect him to rock up to one of the Edinburgh duo or Aberdeen. He’s a class act.

I hate the "short career" stuff.

They can get back into work after 35, down another path.

Agreed. Drives me fucking mental.  Players act like when they retire their life is over.

That whole line is an utter lot of shite. There’s that many jobs in football also that go to ex players. It’s just an excuse to justify the wages.

  8. Hopefully this puts all the Hastie chat to bed. It’s getting tedious.

As much as I rate the lad it’s clear he really doesn’t want to be here and we are essentially his last option.

From what I’ve heard it was signed fully this week with Rangers. Deal is done and dusted. Fair play, he will be on loan down south next season.

No sour grapes but I wouldn’t have him anywhere near the starting 11 now.

  9. I’m not getting the Main hate.

I appreciate he isn’t scoring goals however he is instrumental to how we are performing  at the moment.

His link up play is improving every week and his flick for Frears goal was class.

A lone striker in this role has to be more than just a goal scorer and I certainly think that he is proving to be an excellent foil for our wide players and drags defenders all over the place to create space for the rest of the team.

Seems he is the whipping boy for the perennially unhappy amongst us now.

  10. Ryan Bowman sent off after 24 mins for Exeter today. 4 ex Well players on show in the game.

Jim O’Brien for Notts County, Law, Taylor & Bowman for Exeter.

Noticed today that Euan Murray is (c) of Raith Rovers and Ross Forbes (c) of their opponents Dumbarton today. Good to see.

  11. This could have a similar effect on his career as Slane to Celtic.

Pretty gutted about this news tbh. Not sure what chances he will have as they will have an abundance of wide players. Jones, Kent, Grezda, Middleton.

Probably follow the Docherty route with a loan to lower leagues in England.

I understand the financial aspect but with his earlier comments about staying this would stick in the craw.

  12. Loved that today. Beating Hearts with a last minute goal was the perfect start to a Sunday.

Naismith is a good player, a lovely fella off the pitch who does a lot for charity..... however he is a horrible dirty cheating little bastard on the pitch. An odious prick. Seeing him missing that chance before we scored was joyous.

Grimmy getting right into his mince after the winner and also on the full time whistle was just tremendous. Get Grimmy a new contract.

Hastie scores another belter but to me David Turnbull was again a class above. His ability to find space with the ball and his range of passing is a pleasure to watch. Let’s enjoy this lad while we have him as he will make it to the very top.

  13. I don’t think it’s just his fitness. I actually cannot see for the life of me where this McCormack fits into the current formation and style of play.

Also he actually has hardly touched the ball in all of his appearances to date. I would have expected more from his cameos and a least some evidence of his quality.

I also was excited by the signing but again it’s looking pointless. Decent wedge of wages no doubt to warm (a fair portion) of the bench.

  14. Really enjoyed that tonight.  Not our best performance of the season but still tried to play football the right way.

Take a bow Jake Hastie what a stunning goal. Absolutely top class and a great performance all round.

David Turnbull is just a joy to watch at times. His ability to retain possession and create space is instrumental in the way we play. His play to set up Tait to pass to Frear for the second goal was top quality.  Similar to the weekends pass to Campbell for Mains goal.

Elliot Frear was also excellent when he came and roasted mcGinn on a few occasions. A confident Frear is a very potent weapon.

Considering the wee prick Nick Welsh gave us fuck all aswell we can be proud of the win to make it 5 in a row.

Excuse me for having an opinion.  And if you read my post again I actually said that he could do a job. There are guys come on this forum that are totally negative. If you read my posts I am always positive but hey in future I will just keep my mouth shut...ps...... COYW

Not having a go at your opinion. Haha my curse in No 1 was actually a quote from Mike Bassett.... not a good joke if I have to explain it.

My point re Gorrin is that a lot of fans put the emphasis on the importance of McHugh record in arial duels and second balls. However I thought Gorrin more than matched that today with the added ability to pass the ball quickly and effectively. Think it’s harsh to call him a 5’s player. He’s been excellent last few games.
