Said on the way to the game yesterday that I prefer Cadden and Tait playing together on the right as they complement each other. Still of the same opinion. Great performance by everybody and a point was the least we deserved. Gerrard saying if the Gers had defended the two crosses they would have won 3-1. By that logic if it wasn't for a deflection for the first and a goalkeeping error for the third we would have won 3-1. Dry your eyes Stevie you were lucky to get away with a point

By the way why was Flanagan the subject of all the booing from the Hunter stand ?

Flanagan is a wife beater. Assaulted his missus and was found guilty.

The Accies game in particular, it seemed like we convinced ourselves we'd need to be ready for some massive, physical battle. When, in reality, this season's Accies is a poor shadow of what they were even last season.  A bit of football from the kick off and it could have been very different.

Said that at the game today.

That starting 11 would have beat Accies comfortably. Danny Johnson’s movement alone would have caused their defence chaos.

I’m actually starting to think we have a right find here. He looks the business.

Sounds like he has a grudge against Robinson, if not the Club in general. Perhaps our 'Cheeky Boy' doesn't quite have the affection for our club that some thought he had ;). I think Richard Gordon was astonished by his remarks as well.

Lee McCulloch was the same today. Quite funny actually. After Robbos interview McCulloch said Motherwell where in no way dominant at any point. His co commentator (Spence?) said we dominated the last 15 mins. LMc said well apart from dominating that they werent dominant at any point....!!! Utter buffoon.

Actually seen a few Rangers fans saying Thomson was to blame for them not winning today. Gave them nothing all game. Actually can’t believe my eyes.

I have no time for Thomson as a ref, particularly after last season but I thought he managed the game well today in difficult conditions. One or two inconsistencies but no game changing mistakes.

Can’t agree with this at all. He was utterly horrendous.

How Lafferty & McGregor escaped a booking or even a talking too is beyond me. Also the booking of Pete for time wasting for carrying it 5 yards but letting Goldson away with volleying it the length of the pitch was unbelievable.

The big worry for me is, even if we do punt Robinson, Our next manager is his assistant Las! Seeing as he is already part of our management team, would we be "treated" to the exact same style of football? And is he experienced enough to get us out of the mess we may get in?

Whose to say the style wouldn’t be different or the players he chooses. Do you think they fully agree on everything or that Lasley decides team selections?

Not for a minute am I staying he should be manager however it would be naive to believe that Las has the exact same ethos as Robbo. Of course he will have say but do we believe the manager listens.

On a different note, this team sounds exactly like the side he left at Oldham and the exact same issues/concerns their fans raised when he left.

FFS it's a bad game 1 and the pant wetting from the usual suspects is at Tsunami levels, injuries to key players, selling defenders and starting the season away to a very good free scoring team what do people expect.

So we are bottom after game 1 if it the same story in January then panic, but for now wring yer knickers out and calm down.

That’s what I love about this forum. Your not allowed an opinion or you either a pant wetter or a happy clapper etc.

I think it’s clear already from the 4 cup games and now the league game a lot of our deficiencies and failings from last year hasn’t changed or improved.

Robinson wanted to improve the 12-19, has he done that?? Jury out for me.

For example, Gorrin is meant to be the midfield improvement but today Rose, Grimshaw and Bigi all got on before him.

  7. I’m looking at this game now as another pre season friendly. With the injuries, suspensions and now sale of Cedric I fancy Hibs to score at least 3 at the weekend. Not going to read much into it but our season might just have start against Accies.

A forward line of Kamberi, Boyle and now McLaren will cause major bother to our make shift and unfit defence. Plus McGinn is still here without Campbell to battle him.

Was going to put a team up but fuck knows what it will be. A central midfield of Rose, McHugh & Grimshaw beckons....
