  1. In your opinion!! In mine he isn't!
  2. I think we all know footballers don't always look at the long game, the short term financial gain is the norm as we are constantly told in the media it's got a short lifespan. Earning that extra buck whilst having security incase of injury generally persuades a lot of players.
  3. I'm sure he is married to a lass from Motherwell!!
  4. Must be bad if Steelboy says I'm living in cuckoo land!! Dont you think someone of Hutchy's age would accept an increase in wages? I do? When other clubs extend contracts of players do they always 'treble' their wages! It's a hypothetical situation but its something I don't think we do enough!
  5. I don't think there is anything going on behind the scenes I just generally don't think we are very good at standing our ground or making the most of our assests! Take Nicky Law as an example, we knew last year we had a player on our hands! Why didn't we at that point offer him a 1 yr extension to his contract, say bye releasing Omar Daley and using his wages to increase Nickys dough, install a release clause of say £400k and have our position secured. If an English club wanted him they would pay that no probs and we would have our assets tied down longer. This is something that Utd tend to do, tie down their saleable assests and don't budge. How many times do you hear how we need to sell a player to stay afloat and we would consider bids for anyone? In my opinion we let our players contracts run far too close before offering new deals. I am fully aware that money is ticht all round and we need to wait to consider our budgets but our assests are our lifeblood and we don't seem to protect them very well. We should be chapping at Hutch door and saying, here son there's an extension and an extra £500 a week just now and tieing him down.
  6. Yeah and that SFL team really struggled in the SPL. Jumping for joy nah, happy and genuinely looking forward to seeing them in a Well shirt, for sure.
  7. Yeah and we all know your an outstanding judge of a player!!!! I personally think Vigurs is a very very good player. Would be delighted to seen him at Well next year.
  8. Ditto!! Not confident in him in the slightest. Think we have been that blessed with good keepers recently that it isn't overly difficult to spot a not so good keeper!
  9. Not necessarily TP! I understand your thinking but to me they are and can be completely different!
  10. Fair point Shaka, you kind of forget that Las legs might start going. In saying that in his last few performances near the end of the season he was looking sharp!
  11. Would be an excellant signing if true!! But again another centre midfielder. Attack minded mind you and a replacement for Law but where will Lawson fit into this. I'm getting the impression we will be moving to a 4-3-3 next year or a 4-5-1. If these signings that are rumoured are anything to go bye.
  12. St Mirren fans on P&B saying they have signed Harkins today. Bunch of roasters I know but some sound quote confident on it!
  13. Put me down for £20. I'm still in the dark ages and don't do PayPal but I'm happy to send a cheque, cash or do a bank transfer if you wish, just pm me the best payment option. Cheers.
  14. No re OTJ as he is not what we need at the moment. No we aren't seemingly in for Goodwillie, it's Hibs, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen!
  15. A squad our size can't afford 4/5 central midfielders. Plus I would rather Carswell was given more game time. If anything if we lose Humphrey/Hateley we need width!
  16. Big tall left sided midfielder. Good player if I remember right. Where you hear this Mitch?
  17. Happy days. Consistency is good!
  18. That's what I meant!!!! Daddy is his agent ;-)
  19. I've a sneaky wee feeling SMc might just stay at Well!! No reason to think it just a hunch!!!
