Burrows surely has to take some responsibility for that given that he was the CEO. Yeah we've had a horrible run of injuries but Biereth is not Motherwell's only good player. He's exceptionally talented but he's not the only decent player we have. We've been in this position before many times and I genuinely wish we weren't again but if we go down so be it. Its happened to plenty of other SPL clubs.

I completely agree with you. I also think we would be in a higher position right now under Alexander. Its completely irrelevant whether the team are playing slightly better football under Hammell (although that's debatable), the results aren't happening. Hammell looks completely out of his depth and we are in trouble. I also understand that Motherwell are trying to compete with clubs that can offer better terms but I've just watched his interview where he says we might get one or two players in before the transfer window closes. Might? We're in big trouble if this squad isn't strengthened ASAP.

I would much rather see us play eye bleeding football and get a point or three than play well and get nothing. We needed an experienced manager to get us out of this mess and Hammell isn't it. I said when he was appointed I thought he was the wrong appointment. Alexander came in and inherited Robbos team and kept us up and got us to fifth and I completely understand it. We were playing poor football under Alexander and the relationship between him and some of the fans had broken down but seriously. Every week I go on twitter and Facebook and all I see is, results will come and we are playing good football. Good football means zero when you are in a relegation scrap. We absolutely appointed on sentiment and it's not working. I seriously hope he proves me wrong but at this point I don't think he will . And if Hammell didn't have enough time in the transfer window due to the late appointment you can blame that on the board for dragging the situation out. Seriously just no. Last season and the way Alexander went was hard enough. We deserve better considering how expensive it is to go to a game when you are on a low income (and I'm one of these people).

Well done all. We needed to bounce back after that shit show last week and we've done it. As someone who wasn't impressed that much at Hammell getting the job a big well done from me. I don't go to away games as money is a factor so hopefully we'll continue to do the same at Fir Park I'm a huge fan of Callum Slattery and good to see a goal from Van Veen too.

I don't boo players or managers at all. I'm seeing a lot of comments on twitter and Facebook saying we have to get behind Stevie because he's a motherwell man through and through? What if he wasn't? I'm not rooting for him to do well because he's a motherwell legend as folk call it. I just hope he does the job he's there to do. I think the entire club has gone off the boil lately tbh. I had a query I wanted answered. Nothing major. No answer on twitter including from Alan, no response to an email. Gave up in the end. I get that folk are busy but it was really noticeable to me that Alan didn't tweet in a week after the Sligo loss. I'm not ready to throw the towel in with motherwell but I know some folk who are. I also think it must be speculation as to why Las left. He was offered a better job but everything is the fault of Alexander Nah. Not buying that. If the board had wanted him in place he would have been manager before now. I'd rather have taken the chance with Simo. Nothing about this appointment makes me enthusiastic. Its been suggested in some quarters that the working relationships between O"Donnell and Alexander had broken down but agree to the extent that we have two experienced players who can play in the same position. I'm personally not very inspired by the Hamnell appointment or basically very much to do with the club at this point (and I don't often feel like that). The display on Saturday is probably part of that Hopefully Hammell can turn it around but tbh all he's going to have to do to keep his job is keep us a couple of spots above the relegation zone because let's face it that's what we expect given the way we play at times and that's not taking credit away from the times we have had bigger success. Hopefully we will see a new striker asap.

It's the same team Alexander left us with so we aren't going to see serious improvement until we get some new players in and a new manager. On twitter a lot of people were saying how great we were under Hammell and then one guy said we're still shite (which did make me laugh). We shouldn't have to rely on Kelly to save us but that's the way it's going to be until we get a decent striker in the door. Yeah St Mirren will be feeling hard done by but that's football. We've lost plenty of games over the years when we were by far the better team. St Mirren fans not happy on twitter, some of their fans really don't rate Robbo.
