Maybe it’s over egging it a little but the reality (or close to), is that between the two European ties, we will net close to 400k. Given that stadium costs were absolutely minimal for the first game and travel costs are a bare minimum for the second, it should leave us with a profit not a kick in the arse away from 300k, if the UEFA numbers discussed elsewhere on the forum are to be believed. Having re-watched the highlights and in the cold light of day, yesterday was absolutely dross (more so that at the time). We were crap for the vast majority. We’ve actively managed to sign worse players than last Term. Nothing against the guys personally but neither White nor Lamie should be anywhere near a team challenging for the top 6 (or at least with the intention of). We’ve got 3 wingers in the squad, none of whom are playing due to crap performances and we are absolutely blunt middle to front. We’ve all seen some duds at Fir Park, but this squad takes a bit of beating with the sheer volume. We’ve come into a substantial amount of cash given the Turnbull move which will fill a gap due to lack of match day revenue and will hopefully go towards a big infrastructure project to get everyone behind. The flip side is that As supporters, you pay money to watch a good team on the park. In immortal words which I’ve not uttered at Motherwell since the dark days of Admin, it is time for the board to get the Cheque book out. A blind man with a cork leg could tell you that this squad has got relegation strugglers written all over it. Creaming in cash from European ties and a big player sale will mean nothing in the championship and we need to be proactive in avoiding the doomsday scenario. We’re badly lacking a senior leader in the squad and a number 10. I’m not saying we break the bank but doing nothing isn’t an option.

This shitfest of a soccer ball win was brought to you by Verizon, in Association with the Scotch Premier League Sports Devision where the Mothers of Lanark-shire pounded to a one to zero victory against the Saints of Perth. This message was brought to you by Verizon

The reality striking us here is that we have taken 2 points from 18 this season. We have scored 2 goals in 6 and are bereft of ideas. We’ve clearly still got a lot of deadwood in the squad and yes, there are injuries, but that is part and parcel of football. The board can react in 3 ways. One (and the worst of all IMO) is to sit on our hands and wait and hope it changes. The second is to invest in Robinson to make sure we get out of this shitshow. Utilize a small proportion of our recent income for one or two experienced and quality players to come in and secure the team and provide leadership. Thirdly, is we believe money should only be given to a new man so we fix the manager situation first and then invest in the squad. We’ve gone a far way to reminding me of ICT a few years ago. Bringing in decent players from down south, having moderate success, selling them, selling their best young talent and plummeting like a stone. Time to learn a lesson and avoid disaster whilst we still can

—————— Carson O’Donnell——Gallagher—-Mugabe——Lamie ————-Campbell———O’Hara ————————-Polworth -——Lang—————Long—————-Hastie In a funny way, this might actually be a game that suits us. Celtic won’t sit in and the pace up top could be crucial in relieving the pressure. Polworth’s last outing at Celtic Park was a complete horror show so he needs to get the finger out (not for the first time) and perhaps Hastie will realize he’s a football player (we live in hope). I’ll bravely say 2-2. Struggling to put a midfield 4 together suggests we urgently need a couple more bodies, including someone to play on the right...... if only we had made 3.5 million quid this week...

This season has become a complete clusterfuck in record time. Our moneyball approach to signings appears to have caught up with us finally and one of only two outfield players of any real quality that we have is about to go to a rival side on the cheap. If it is indeed 3million, there’s not a chance in hell that we will replace him with a 3 million player but thinking we can continue with what we have or by bringing in a loan is pretty idiotic. We should have been pushing ahead to 3rd again this season however survival is looking a struggle at this point. We need to bring in one or two senior pro’s that can guide this team middle to front - the kind of players who understand that there is a difference in mentality between not playing well enough to win but ensuring that you at least don’t loose. Get the rest of the money into the youth system and get the scouting team and the manager in the bin

Bevis has a Bambi on ice feeling about him When he has the ball at his feet which makes things quite entertaining in a heart sinking sort of way. He’s decent defensively however and clearly improves when playing consistently so it will be a tough call once other players become fit again. Otherwise, overall, it was our best performance so far. O’Donnell made a huge difference and without doubt it allowed Gallagher to be more like himself again. Midfield improved also. O’Hara is starting to look sharper and turnbull is slowly getting back to sharpness. To me, it actually looks like the break has done Campbell the world of good. He looks fresh again which is nice to see. Going forward, Seedorf isn’t the answer however you can see that neither are the alternatives. Hylton offered nothing when he came on and Hastie looks like he could be shipped back to rangers in January at this rate. Pumping high balls to white isn’t working either, the guy isn’t capable of holding the ball. He can win flick ons but you need another forward or two playing closer to him for that to be effective but as part of a wide front 3, it’s a completely pointless and thankless task for him. Lang did make a difference and was an improvement on long. The less said about the latter and Watt’s contribution the better... overall, a step up but we need to start making more chances from open play and Jesus can we please take a morning or two at training and practice corners? The amount of shitey corners we’ve taken in these opening matches is incredible; we don’t even look like threatening.

Really excited to see him playing out of position

A complete shitshow from top to bottom. I actually agree with Robinson that we look like a team that thinks we are better than we are but he’s certainly not helping matters. First and foremost, we need to be hard to beat, which we just are not at the moment. This, for me, traces alL the way back to the Accies game at new year. We were absolutely cruising, playing nice football and it was like someone flicked a light switch and we completely lost the plot. It has been the same ever since. On paper, this team this arguably the third best in the league but in reality, we are looking like a relegation stick on
-
One point from 3 isn’t acceptable. We have been dreadful. On paper, this side should be comfortably better than what we have played however we are utterly lacking ideas. Reverting to pumping high balls for white to foul or fall over is just desperate.

This game is a gone

It’s a club URL

Yesterday was an absolute clusterfuck. Lagging streams, no sound, people being logged out etc. I was accused yesterday of gunning for the club because I made the point during the game. The fact of the matter is that the club are working with a provider however as the club are the ones taking the money, it is up to them to ensure that their provider reflects well and provides a good service for the money. It's the same if you buy a washing machine from Curries; you don't take it back to the manufacturer if it breaks - you go to curries. In that sense, this needs to be resolved immediately. Advertising and charging for a game which many were not even able to login to isn't acceptable. Football is nothing without fans at the stadium but not even giving your fans the chance to watch online on a paid service reduces it to a bounce game.
-
I'm sorry but this is fucking shocking. People are paying for this shite
-
I'm just pissed that despite contacting the club when the rangers stream didn't work, this is not working either despite paying money
-
The club are the one charging people thus the 'contract' lies with them, not the company. They should be carrying out due diligence
-
Absolutely shite from the club. This should have been tested. Amateur
-
okay so no stream access at all now. was a blurred video and no sound and now absolutely nothiing

----------------------Carson O'Hara-----Gallagher------Lamie-----McGinley ----------------Donnelly------ ------Campbell------------Turnbull Seedorf-----Long------Hastie We really could be doing with a right back
-
You can’t attack corners that Polworth was was content to clip them into the keepers arms all night like some sort of target practice
-
I’d take Hartley and Tait over Lamie and Grimshaw any day of the week. They weren’t the answer either but the two we have on the books are bereft of quality. The amount of times Gallagher pointed to space for Lamie to step into which he never did was utterly embarrassing to watch. A wee bit of ‘Hartley style’ leadership was sorely missing tonight
-
If someone could tell the messiah that is Polworth how to take a set piece and also tell Grimshaw how to take a shy, that would be great, thanks.

Apologies if mentioned elsewhere. Are there any updates on shirt sponsorships ahead of the new season? We have been playing in the old kit in the friendlies and part of my thinking was that we were potentially looking to announce the new kit in conjunction with a new signing - Lang perhaps - however that may be a little farfetched.
