This guy still doesn´t know that today the Steaua team was 80% reserve (score 1-3 btw), but he still takes the conclusion that Steaua will fail in the away games. Bravo Einstein.

I'm well aware that the Steaua team wasn't the strongest 11, but it wasn't a million miles away from it.

9 players from the 14 that played in Bucharest played last night . Zapata came in for Tatarusanu and Ghionea, Golansky and Szekely missed out, so hardly 80% as you say. You were failing last night until you got a soft penalty. Had we got our 3 penalties then it would have been 5 or 6 for Motherwell. btw Last time Lazio came to Bucharest they put 3 by Dinamo to go into the Champions League after losing the first leg.

You sound like an Aberdeen fan btw, You won the European cup 25 YEARS AGO and won't win it again so get over it. Your not the big team you once were...

  2. BB - No need to call Steaua cheating bast*rds. Not their fault the referee was fecking hopeless!

Why? They cheated on two occasions by defenders using hands to stop goal bound efforts, not to mention at least 6 occasions when what can only be described as wrestling on John Sutton went unpunished. By the way, I will be betting against Steaua away from home, You may think you are Barcelona in Bucharest, but your're Berwick Rangers away from Romania. I'm not going to be all nicey nicey when my team has been cheated out a game by a scumbag of referee and a team of guys who have lighter feet than Julian Clary and are a bunch of dirty bastards. Just ask Paul Slane how his ankles feel?

  3. First time I've ever seen football/referee corruption in the flesh and I have to say it leaves you feeling really shit. We were the best team for almost an hour, Steaua just couldn't handle us and were crumbling under the pressure. Penalty was soft and the ref couldn't wait to give it, fuck he had the whistle in his mouth and arm at the ready before the boy was in the box!!!!! 3 penalties not given, a multitude of downright baffling decisions in Steaua's favour. A fantastic performance from the lads and Mr Gannon deserves tons of Credit. We will fucking pump St Johnstone if we play the same as we did for the first 50/60 mins. Steaua I would expect to crash out in the next round as they can't travel, can't handle the pressure and won't be able to pay off a ref against a bigger club like Lazio or Roma.

  4. off the top of my head the biggest ( or greatest ) turnaround ive senn was when we were 3-1 down to the beggers in the first game of season and we wouldve won 4-3 if it wasn't for that C**t craig beattie scoring a late goalmouth scramble

That cost me fortune. Put a few £ on us to win the second half 3-0 at 100/1 and then bawbag had to score an equaliser.

  5. Motherwell's own Frank Sinclair.

It was a big error from Craggs last night, if he was trying to control the ball then it has been a calamity. If he was clearing the ball then it has to be with his left foot. Other than that, he did OK on what was a trying night.

  6. Being a 'Well fan who has only been going to away games in the 90s and 00s, the vast majority of violence around the 'SS' has been Motherwell thugs wanting a scrap with people who don't. Nancy is the most recent example, but there's plenty more.

    .

A bold claim? Would like to see/hear evidence of that. The SS has a few tits that associate themselves with it granted, same as the general Well support. Btw have the SS attacked any OAP's in the ground recently? Like minded meet Like minded 99.99% of the time and have a tear up, which by the way are few and far between nowadays.

  7. League - 3rd (Why not, don't see any stand out candidtes)

Hoping for a final(semi at a push) in either, other than that, anything else isn't worth shouting about.

Europe - If we beat Steaua, Would be happy to draw Roma, Lazio, Hamburg etc... and going out graciously at the final hurdle, but with a belter of a trip to look back on.

  8. I wouldn't be sure how Gannon will approach this one. Does he do the age old Scottish tactic of sitting deep and hoping for the best. Play the right formation to hit Steaua on the counter or just go for it and see what happens.

To be honest I wouldn't be changing the Line up dramatically save for maybe a couple of essential positional changes. Murphy maybe dropping deeper and Jennings playing as a defensive mid in the hole. Even dropping Sutton and playing Humphrey up front on his own in order to utilise his pace

  9. I don't know if any one noticed but the Northampton fans seem to be convinced that striker Abebayo Akinfenwa will be following his good friend Giles Coke to Fir Park.

A beast of a man, decent scoring record in the last few years at Swansea and Northampton. Wouldn't be against his signing.

  10. A big loss to us as there is very little chance of getting a midfielder of the same ability back in. Best midfielder in the SPL? Well he wasn't far off it. Great news that he has went to a bigger club, with a cracking deal and I'm sure Norwich will be in the running for the play-offs next season.

  11. A second half hat-trick from Lee McCulloch against Hibs seems to spring to mind for me. Would that be right?

If its the same game I'm thinking of, It was the 5th and 6th goals in the 6-2 pumping of Hibs after being 2 down in the first 10 minutes. We were 3-2 up at half-time and went on to add another 3 in the 2nd half with Big Lee getting 2, incidently his first goals for Motherwell IIRC

  12. I still think the lowest we'll finish is where we were at last season, 7th. The other teams have still to lose players and sign shit journeymen to replace star men. Hamilton, St Mirren, Hibs, Killie will all struggle IMHO, with us and Falkirk in a battle for the last top six place. Gannon still has a few more aces up his sleeve and I fully expect at least another 4 players to come into the starting XI before the big Kick Off.

  13. He would be staying if there was a contract on the table for him to sign....

A decent source of all thing Rangers told me last week that they were signing him, usually this guy is right went it comes to Rangers info, so I've not got any reson to doubt him.
