I was thinking the same, however out with Celtic games there is no real rush to get them fixed. They will probably wait until the weather improves before they start anything.
Hollis shades it, however, he is not an option at this time. We just have to get on with it and whilst Gunners form has been patchy he is our only choice at this moment. I am sure the coaching staff rate both Hollis and Gunner very highly and will be working with them to improve their game.
A massive thanks to Dan as he has been superb for us.
Also spare a thought for poor Neil Lennon, his squad is thread bare at the moment and yet they are still digging out results against all odds.
To be fair our crowd would have been higher if we had been playing either of those sides. St Johnstone only brought around 300 fans. Killie or St Mirren would surely have had more than that. Doesn’t excuse the poor crowd though and if we had any hope of getting 5,500 in the ground there would have to have been at least 4,500-5,000 Well fans in the ground.
Hard to put a finger on it, however, our average attendance throughout the years hasn’t risen much above 5 to 5,500, however, the low crowd the other day was probably more to do with the opposition and timing of the game.
This has been a major boost for the rest of the SPFL, Hughes will ensure that Inverness will finish in the bottom six this season. If he is still there next year he will relegate them. The guy is a legend for all the wrong reasons.
At least I am not moaning about MotM Vigurs. The guy will go on to become a Fir Park legend and I can already visualise a large banner with his face on positioned in one of the corners of the pitch. Mon the Vigurs!
Unfortunately I can't speak for Delboy, only he can explain his opinion of Vigurs, although I can confirm that he does face the general direction of the pitch during the games.
To be fair to Delboy he was at the game, I should know I was sitting next to him. Lol And he would be the first one to admit that he is not Vigurs biggest fan.
I thought Vigurs had a great game, however I did vote for Ainsworth in the MotM poll.
According to Twitter: No plans for an inspection, if the game had been yesterday it would have been in doubt, however, the dry day today has helped and the game should be fine to go ahead as planned.
McCall has some difficult decisions to make for this one. Does he stick with the same starting 11 that played so well against Thistle or does he mix it up a little? If possible I would stick with with the same starting 11, however, I am sure McCall will have his own thoughts on how to handle St Johnstone. If we can keep May under control we have a real chance of taking all 3 points which would set us up nicely for Big Yogi's first return to the Ark since the 6-6 Hibs game. God I am so pleased Caley chose him to be their new boss.
2-0 to the Well.
My Thistle mate has been happy with the way they have been playing, however, proven goal scorers at SPL level are hard to come by. That’s why Killie are lucky to have someone like Kris Boyd, as without him they would be struggling to find the net. Even with their spending power Celtic have only got one player in the Premiership top ten goal scoring charts for 2013. Billy McKay is way out in the lead with 14 goals which is a remarkable strike rate at this point in the season (however I am sure John Hughes will soon put a stop to that)
Thistle are playing better than results have suggested and despite creating chances they have struggled to find the net (hopefully that will continue until after our game). I would be happy with a point, however I am predicting a narrow 1-0 win for the Well.
Apart from our 1960’s summer cup amber hoop top I have never been a fan of claret away kits (probably because they can look a bit too Jam Tarts). This was obviously an attempt to try and rectify my dislike, however, I am still not convinced.
If I remember correctly the original Admiral replica was very itchy and uncomfortable to wear, however, you can be certain that the players version wasn’t the same material. The Admiral logo also faded after a few washes.
