  1. Worried about this one as we are struggling to score at home. Fenlon will be trying his best to get his Hibs career off to a winning start so it will not be easy. I’m going for 1-1. Roll on the next away game!
  2. The game was largely spoilt by the bad weather. The only positive was that we got a point from a game that giving the weather was a potential banana skin. I only wish teams would try their luck a bit more as windy conditions tend to make goalkeepers and defenders nervous, which usually leads to mistakes in and around the box. This was not a game to be making 20 or 30 passes before eventually seeing the ball go out for a bye kick. It was a day for trying your luck from distance and getting the ball into the opposition box as quick as possible.
  3. As an artist and designer I wasn’t that excited about the chosen design. At the end of the day the O’Donnell family seem pleased with the outcome and I suppose that’s all that matters. I would be keen to know the significance of the dragonfly, but I’m sure that will remain a secret to a few close family members and the designer of the memorial.
  4. Claret and Amber will just need to grin and bear it. At the end of the day I am sure they wont bear a grudge. Cometh the hour, cometh the Steelman.
  5. Personally I stay to the end of every game. I can remember some right humpings and late comebacks and I’m happy to say that I was there until the final whistle of every one. Some people have different reasons for leaving, these could range from work commitments to being fucked off at the way the team is playing. At the end of the day it is up to the individual to decide at what time he or she leaves during the match. You pay your money you take your choice.
  6. Lasley for me. I thought he had yet another really good game.
  7. Funny I actually thought we deserved a point. As I have said before, I right these games off at the start of the season and anything we get from the Old Firm is a bonus.
  8. Sorry but both decisions were correct. The goal was onside, and even McCall agreed that the red card was the right decision in his post match interview. He spoke to Clancy who confirmed that he did indeed kick him.
  9. I'm not sure if you can buy tickets tomorrow, the official website only mentions week days and Saturday. Fans should note that the Ticket Office will be open late (until 7pm) on Thursday 3rd November and on Saturday 5th November (10am – 2pm). Edit: Closed Sunday Please note that the Ticket Office hours may change from time to time, particularly around “All-Ticket” games. Any changes to the above times will be posted on the front page of the site as early as possible.
  10. We’ve been here many times before, Rangers are pish, the worst Celtic team in years. And when it comes to the game we get our arse felt. I would like nothing better than to beat these fuckers on Sunday but being realistic it probably won’t happen.
  11. The SPL Classic on the BBC site is the 2-4 home defeat back in 2008.
  12. I forgot about the 2-0! A mere blip, make that 6-0 Celtic.
  13. We’ve not turned up against the Old Firm in recent times and I expect Sunday to be no different. 4-0 Celtic, I’m afraid.
  14. You were right the first time... All time performance table Top ten are 1. Rangers 2. Celtic 3. Hearts 4. Hibernian 5. Dundee 6. Aberdeen 7. Motherwell 8. Kilmarnock 9. Morton 10. Partick Thistle
  15. Funny you should say that. The other day I was walking past a public call box just as the phone was ringing. I picked it up to find that on the other line was non other than Eliphas Shivute. He mentioned something about coming into some money and required a UK bank account in which to deposit it. He said he would give me half of the $10 million Dollars if I send him my bank details. What do you think, should I go for it?
  16. I personally thought Clancy had a good game against his ex employers, and Jennings also got stuck in about them. If I could vote for a Killie player I would, as I thought the keeper Jaakkola was immense. He saved Killie on a good few occasions. The double save being the main highlight. My vote goes to Tim Clancy.
  17. Two well matched sides in a game where both sides could have nicked it to be honest. The Killie keeper pulled off some great saves, with the double stop in the second half being the best in my opinion. At least it’s another game without a defeat, although we really need to bring our away form to Fir Park to have any chance of third spot this season. Even this early it’s another step closer to securing a top 6 spot. Onwards and upwards!
  18. It feels great to see the big three Rangers, Celtic and Hearts in disarray.

    Faddy

I don’t really follow English football so I could be talking pish, but I think Faddy was never really played as an out and out striker at Everton. Also not sure how many of those 110 games he actually started. Anyone with a bit more knowledge than me know the answers?
  20. And you can include Lanark and the surrounding villages as well. In the 60s, 70s and early 80s we had a supporters bus leaving the village of Forth for Motherwell games every Saturday.
  21. What do points make? Prizes! I can see it now... SPL Champions 2011/12 - Motherwell F.C. Now that would be a 125 Anniversary present to remember! Or am I just getting carried away?

    Faddy

Glad to hear that he has chose Everton over Wolves and Celtic, I think the uncertainty over Neil Lennon’s future at Celtic may have been one of the factors in his decision not to come north. I have no doubt that he would have won medals at Parkhead, at Everton there is no such certainty. Although I did have a dream that he came back to Motherwell in January to help us win the league title!
