I obviously have no idea, so instead I'll start a rumour based on this season's Macron templates and say we will see a variant of this one:

Looks far too normal. Anything weirder?

Sadly I heard yesterday of the death of David Anderson (Duv or Sting)from Kirkfieldbank . Only 57.   A regular all his days in the East Stand. Sat in line with the tunnel. Went to most of  our European adventures . Another gone too soon

R.I.P David. I must sit quite near him as I sit not too far from the tunnel line in the East Stand next to the wall. Did he ever travel on the Forth, Lanark supporters bus?

    It's like watching Motherwell…

Watching and supporting  Scotland gives fans of more successful domestic teams an insight of what it’s like to support a provincial club like Motherwell.

  4. I would echo what Johnstone said Chris is a decent player and should do you a turn. As for Nolan, I think even his more famous sisters were ahead of him in the selection pecking order.

  5. Bizarrely we asked Admiral to produce a repro of one of our least successful shirts rather than the classic 76-78 home. The 78-79 home was so poorly received at the time we reverted back to the earlier design.

Maybe not our finest emblem but the two guys wearing it are two of our finest players from my youth.

Yes the players that wore those Admiral shirts were my heroes in the 70s. Still surreal to me that 30+ years later I was asked to assist in recreating the shirt and the monogram on it.

… I remember reading many of his posts on here and on twitter less than 24 hours before we found out he had sadly passed.

He messaged me on Twitter a few days before about a Macron kit app he had downloaded . He had been messing about with it and shared one of his designs with me. We had a wee joke about it and I told him that  it might not be too far off our new away.  I told him that I was predicting that our new away might be a bit more experimental than we are used to.  He said he would wait with interest and concern.  Actually, the design he created wasn’t too bad and in my opinion would have made a decent away kit.

Designed by the Admiral graphic design team. Not our finest emblem, however, I was tasked with recreating it for our Bukta produced Admiral away  replica.

It's still not a good look on a shirt 52 years later.

Thankfully top shirt designers disagree and are only too happy to delve into a clubs past kit/badge history. West Bromwich Albion are just one of a few clubs who have used their retro script badges to great effect in recent years.

Was the 1936-40 blue change strip the "find" you mentioned earlier up the thread?

No, it was the discovery of our 1952-55 white top/black shorts/claret, amber& black socks away that had a domino effect on other away kit finds. Not an earth shattering discovery, however, it might just be our first true floodlight away as it had a shiny ‘silk’ type appearance on the images I have looked at.  This material was starting to become popular around the time. Since that find I think the 1919-20 claret yoke away is the stand out, as it’s effectively our first amber dominant top. Prior to this claret was the main shade and amber the secondary colour.

  11. It’s always a shock when you lose someone in the prime of their life. I didn’t know Graeme personally, however, my thoughts go out to his friends an family. R.I.P.

  12. A few years ago Andy helped out my wife with her psychology  dissertation experiment. He came into Glasgow to take part on his day off. He said to her we are a family and we help each other where possible. She has asked me to pass on her condolences.

I'm sure the end of his contract was 31 May (several months ago). I checked recently and its now 30 June on the Official Website. The other players who have left all had their contracts end on 31 May.  Could be a simple error of course that was corrected. I'm not suggesting anything Wullie, but it does seem very odd.

His contract with Motherwell ends on June 30th.
